clean. to look at but. dusty on all shutters and in light fixtures which caused allergies to react a foot stool to put feet up In lounge would make it more comfortable

Perfect Location

Location is perfect. Staff super friendly.

Bed was the most uncomfortable thing I've ever tried to sleep on. I ended up sleeping on the sofa bed in the lounge.

Value on the Esplanade

The location and the view. We had an ocean view room on the 7th floor overlooking the esplanade and bay. Initially we had a level 4 room however was upgraded to level 7 by the wonderful reception staff. Facilities were clean and tidy and car parking was free. The Shower / Spa Bath was a surprise - I wont spoil it - but it is different.

The bed / mattress was quite hard. It is a tired building but still very functional

The location of the hotel with easy access to The Cairns Esplanade and the location of the room on the Garden (2nd) Floor with pool and BBQ area. Off street car parking.

No Netflix etc on the TV. The toilet seat is broken.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel

Location was superb.Centre of everything we needed.Night markets, food, shopping public transport.Swimming pool.

Glass shower middle of hollway visible from outside.Had a curtain though with minimum block.Water from shower head was comming out very wide missing where I was standing.No room service for under 8 day stays.Reception gave city map specifically marking woolworths location.Realised later why.So we bought anything that ran out tea,sugar,milk and toilet paper.Pillow case washed but had stains.

The view over the harbour was exceptional. And the close proximity to shopping was great 👍

The kitchen was poorly equipped, there wasn't even a colander available to drain pasta, or rinse vegetables. There was only one hotplate, and the kitchen knives were not really sharp enough.

Very central location, has a few downsides that goes with being so central.

It had a kitchenette which allowed us to prepare simple meals. The property is on the esplanade so the location is very central and an easy walk to the aquarium, museum, art gallery, boats to go touring the reef. Also, it is right opposite the lagoon. So many restaurants nearby to choose from. Staff are very friendly.

The AC really could have done with a clean. We were there for 10 days, were supposed to get a linen change mid-way, didn’t happen. We didn’t have an issue getting a car park, however, free on-site car parking is limited so you might have to find one and pay for it. There seems to be some paid parking on site. The rooms are non-smoking but the balconies are ok for smoking so if you are a non-smoker and have some smokers nearby, you are going to smell the smoke. You expect some noise because it is central and there are a lot of restaurants nearby but the backpackers establishment next door to our room has an open area out back. They are generally noisy but stop about 10:30 or so. One night it was so noisy, we had to close the doors and turn on the AC to block it out.

3 days enjoyed cairns

The view and the location was great

Unit very dated and dirty, no exhaust fan in bathroom making the floor extremely slippery and dangerous no dishwasher no detergent ( we purchased some) no streaming tv unless we purchased it. No free Wi-Fi cushion s and blankets had a bad smell I could go on and on but you get the picture. We won’t stay there again

Beautiful view, great room and central to restaurants etc

The room was quiet, beautiful view of the ocean and esplanade below. The room had been refurbished too. There was an entrance onto the esplanade which made it easy to walk around, visit restaurants, and sight see.

They need to have a look at the fire alarm sensor. Its off-putting to see so many signs around the room about closing the door to the bathroom because the steam would set the alarm off, and then the fire brigade would come, which is annoying. No mop in room to clean up spills, dishwashing liquid or tea towels. I'm sure they would have provided these if I had asked but we had our own.
