Ok but...

Nice old building, high ceilings, comfortable beds. Lovely Christmas decorations.

Air con is really intense and does not allow a moderate or low fan. Cleaning is only every other day despite written on booking.com that there is daily cleaning. In my opinion daily cleaning is not everywhere really necessary. But it is necessary in a hotel where you are not allowed to put any paper - meaning toilet paper- in the toilet- which is the case here.

El baño puede mejorar la limpieza de duchas y el piso de la habitación necesita ser reparado estaba despegado. Debería tener aire acondicionado en el lobby.

A disappointment

Beautiful, old but clean building. Convenient location. The staff is extremely friendly.

It does not have an elevator and you must carry your suitcases up the stairs. A dark, windowless room and it didn't have hot water. I do not recommend.

A return visit, this time as a group. As expected, great staff, clean, great location. Will be back!

Returning visit, this time as a group. Everyone enjoyed the great service from the staff, the upgraded large-screen TVs, and good wifi throughout the facility. This is a great location in the historical center of Ponce, close to restaurants and attractions. We are looking forward to returning.

BUENA UBICACIÓN Y APARTAMENTO MUY AMPLIO

La amplitud del apartamento en general, así como todos los espacios comunes. Está a pasos de todos los lugares de interés que visitar en el Viejo San Juan. Tiene cocina con todo lo necesario.

La cama era insufrible, se hundía por el centro y tomabas acostado forma de U. No aconsejable para más de una noche en cuanto a la comodidad se refiere de la cama.

it’s nice and has some conveniences but not worth the money we paid for one night.

the property was in a good location and right next to the city center which was nice

there were bugs in the bed, when we woke up in the morning there were millipedes in the bed and on the clothes we left out. not sure if that’s normal to have this for this area or if they are common but it was very unsettling. there were also no elevator to get to the second floor.

This is a little gem in the heart of Ponce.

This hotel was built in the late 1800s and rated two stars so I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. The room was impeccably clean, the staff couldn't be more helpful or friendlier. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to park in the front of the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised overall!

Though many people have written about the pleasant room smell, I get a headache from perfumes, etc. so it would have been best if they had not sprayed a scent in the room. I should have thought about it beforehand and asked them not to. I would have given it a ten rating had it not been for the scented room and the lack of coffee in the room or lobby.

I like the cleanliness, and the staff, and the building is beautiful. I love the structure and the bed smells amazing.

I did not like the noise from cars outside the building, the noise from the loud music of cars at 3 am. This was 2-3 times only, then I slept like a baby.

Charming building, overall a good stay

The hotel is located in a charming historical building in a central area with many restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Our room is large and comfy.

The room is a bit worn down, and we find it a bit expensive for what you get.

Hotel is very cozy but if you don't want traffic noise from the street, request and confirm a room towards the back of the hotel instead of the ones with balcony to the street. There are many excellent restaurants within walking distance.

No elevator, not ADA ready. Rooms with balcony facing the street are exposed to noise from cars passing by with high volume music. My room had a bathroom with low walls and air conditioning flows into the shower area.

the room didn't have a window. my wife and I were flabbergasted by this detail, and when we asked to change it turns out most of the rooms in the hotel don't have windows.

Historical building, perfectly situated. Comfy beds, large room.

The hotel’s Glory Days seem over (just as the rest of Ponce). Could use a makeover. There was a nasty odour as well which was impossible to get rid of (only internal windows).

enjoyable

so close to the plaza and with old world charm. bed was comfy and the out door terrace was lovely. a beautiful hotel! loved it!

the Wi-Fi did not exist, I was told that it was the servers fault and even the office had no Wi-Fi. I would switch to another carrier. we did have no water at all for most of the day. it takes about 20 minutes to get hot water from the solar tank. the wait was worth it!
