Good location, staff very friendly and the room was spotless. Amazingly good value breakfast . Highly recommended

worth the money, would definitely go again

Beds were really comfortable! Breakfast included and was amazing! Had a free secure car park. Staff were friendly and helpful Reception open 24/7 Rooms had hair conditioner so I could actually wash my hair.

Didn't find anything we didn't like, we had to leave an awful hotel and this one was our escape.

Excellent value.

Quiet room. Good food at the restaurant. Very good breakfast. Very good value. Great parking.

As mentioned disappointed with the rooms, the bed was very uncomfortable, it was clean, but the staff were very friendly

The service by staff at reception was welcoming. The staff on duty at breakfast were excellent, helpful and welcoming. The quality of breakfast was very good. Unfortunately the evening meal was very high standard, , but the time to wait for it was rather long.

The stairs were a little difficult for us, as we are elderly with mobility issues.

Nice hotel, great breakfast but lousy dining experience.

Nice room. Easy to find. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Fantastic breakfast.

Shower pressure was low so not a great shower experience. The room had a bath though which was easy to fill so not sure why shower was poor. Dining experience want great. Had to pay for drinks separately from food and couldn’t add it to the bill so lots of receipts to handle. Won’t eat dinner there again if I stay☹️

Thank you for having us for one night

Our room was comfortable. The dinner basic, but all we required. The breakfast was great, covered every breakfast requirements. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Our room was on the road front, so could hear traffic outside.

Great hotel on the edge of town. Good access. Great pub opposite. Breakfast and staff excellent.

Breakfast was excellent and all staff we encountered you could not fault. Bathroom very clean and new. The shower was lovely too.

The car park is awkward and should be respaced! Also the beds a bit small, bearing in mind I’m not big either this could be a problem!

A great friendly hotel on the edge of the city centre with free parking and excellent breakfasts

Well located a short walk from the city centre , castle, cathedrals. Ample free car parking Excellent breakfasts

No food in the evenings but there were plenty of good pubs and eateries located only yards away or a pleasant walk into town. Mattress was a bit soft for me but that is really a matter of preference

It was close enough to the city centre without being in the middle of it. Quiet. Nice pub and restaurant nearby. Also access to Rickerby Park and beyond into rolling country

Everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations for the price. The rooms were freshly renovated, the staff were exceptional, breakfast was an absolute surprise. This hotel was exceptional.

Carlisle Hotel close to the river Eden.

Firstly, I found parking my car easier than I imagined it would be. Secondly, the reception area has recently been redecorated with pictures of the lakes and many pleasing visual features. On the ground floor, next to reception is a comfortable lounge/bar area. Upstairs, my room was spacious and warm with a comfortable mattress topper. The breakfast dining area and selection were very good. The choice of fruits, yoghurt, cereal, and a great cooked breakfast, if you wish. Some GF options.

Sadly, the thermostat fitted to the radiator near the window was not working. Hopefully, this will be picked up by the relevant maintenance team.

The room was too hot so we had to have the window wide open. We made sure the radiator was turned off. We were next to a busy main road and slept poorly

Love it!

First of all in the Cumbria Park Hotel I met the dearest receptionist ever, he was very kind, very helpful and patient. Unfortunately I couldn't remember his name, but for me he was Santa Claus. In addition the hotel was really beautiful, we had huge and equipped rooms and the breakfast was awesome, especially the eggs benedict!!

Only miniature inconvenience was that the front doors were closed and we had to get around to the back door...but really nothing bad that I can say about this hotel!

Overnight stay on the way to Scotland, staff were very friendly, facilities clean breakfast excellent.

We use satnav to get there so drove by and missed the turning into the car park, but we did find it

The hotel has a large free car park. The room we got was a little bigger than most. There was a refrigerator in the room. It was quite modern. The included breakfast was very good and the restaurant food was also very good. It was located 15 minutes walk from the Castle.
