The location to walk around. It's a bit outside of town but nice. The courtyard at the entrance was very pretty and there was enough space around the pool for it to never be busy.

Bathroom especially the shower was really small and in need of renovation.

A wonderful find - a beautiful hotel by the sea, with excellent service, great for a relaxing break

Our stay at La Scogliera exceeded expectations! I visited with my mother, and we were made to feel welcome and looked after throughout our stay. The airport transfer (private car, hydrofoil, minibus) made for a smooth arrival. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and available to support with any query we had, from directions, to spa (lovely massages) or restaurant reservations, or room queries - excellent service throughout! The room was spacious with a sea view, very clean, peaceful. The hotel has three mineral swimming pools -two thermal pools, and it is just a short walk to a public beach if you prefer the sea. We enjoyed aperitivo on the terrace overlooking the sea. The onsite restaurant is great, with varied daily menus featuring local cuisine. It's about 15mins walk into Forio town where there is a great range of restaurants and bars as well. My mother is already planning her return!

Nothing - any query we had was quickly resolved by the brilliant staff!

a little gem to go back to every year

this hotel is a gem . positioned in the best side of forio - a bit further down the noisy center but still walking distance from restaurants and bars . the direct access to the clean water of forio through their solarium is something rare you won’t find anywhere . the vibe is very elegant but not pretentious the staff is a 5 star rating and it makes you want to stay at the hotel at all times all members of the satff and the owners themselves will make you feel like part of a big family well done

great location, with few steps from the beach and about 20 minutes walking to the central town near by. also the view of the mountain was great. the property has a very nice welcoming garden and friendly staff. all staff welcoming guests as VIP.

the breakfast wasn’t good as expected, also the shower in the room was too small.

Great hotel and great staff!

Our overall experience at this hotel exceeded our expectations! The hotel is excellently located close to the harbor and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and beaches (all within 10-15 mins walk), but is isolated enough from the loud music of the bars to feel relaxing and cozy. The hotel staff was extremely kind, friendly, helpful and accommodating! The rooms are clean and the view from the balcony is just stunning! We loved the homemade cakes for breakfast as much at the mojitos for aperitivo!

Our stay was very positive, and I cannot think of any negative notes for la Scogliera.

Sure to come back to Ischia, not sure will stay the same hotel

The Hotel is authentic, very well designed. The location is very good. The food is avarage, part of the staff are so nice. The view is so nice. We enjoyed our stay regardless of the negatives. This Island is beautiful.

We had half board. The waiter guy... Just terrible, awful. Not sure the name, the bald one. Almost every time we where the first on dinner, and finished last because the guy did not concentrate us. When we asked something we had to wait so long, while the others ate well and the other waiter did very well for the others. No drink menu on the tables, only wine. When we arrived to the hotel our room was moldy, so they changed it to other one where the air condition was wrong, but finally we received a good room. When we paid our final bill at the check out, it was some titles there which we did not order. The guy double checked the papers (we had to sign after every order) and he realized that we right. Make sure you make notes for your orders. Not a cheap hotel, we paid like 500 euros for 3 nights, but they charge 10 euros per person to go to the hotels beach area and that is super ridiculous.

Perfect beach side retreat

Opening the window every morning to the view of the sea was just perfect. The hotel is very close to a sandy beach, close to the bus stop, close to restaurants. The walk to town is only 15min, which, if timed right, can be accompanied by a beautiful sunset. It has a beautiful front terrace where you can just relax. The staff was very accommodating to any request. Very good breakfast.

Great for families with or without kids, for couples still recommended except dinner. Staff A+

Lovely staff (A+) and beautiful location. A short/medium walk to Forio (beautiful town) and extremely close to multiple beach options. Parking was easy in September. The pool and front garden areas were very nice.

Not the most romantic place (though setting romantic) because there are many package tours staying, but as a family it was perfect. Dinner and breakfast meals great value but quality just ok for Italy (again as a family great, if just a couple a restaurant dinner more atmospheric). We would come back.

A good location

Very good location, friendly and professional staff, comfortable bed. Once I mentioned that I was gluten free, they made sure I had different gluten free products for breakfast.

dated place, dark room, poor offer at breakfast, with no options of cooked things. A bit overpriced, as I would not consider it a 4 stars hotel.

Exceptional

Extremely attentive, well-prepared, very friendly staff, beautiful decorations in mediterranean style in all aspects, the view to the sea is just amazing, every day surprising us with a new color, cleanness and wonderful front garden, we loved the thermal pool, and the closeness to the beaches, to Forio center is just 10 min walk away, bus stop nearby, can only say Grazie for contributing to this magical time of our life!🥰
