Disappointing experience

Great location right on the lake and view. Underfloor heating nice

The room was very tired. The bathroom is very rundown paint chipping off walls very old retro shower not inviting at all and needs replacing. Room has a spa bath which was great but they provided a small milk jug with some purple liquid it with no label or anything of what I assume was bubble bath which is odd. Very old lumpy mattress. Glassware was all dirty. They provided a nespresso machine which was great however the milk frother was dirty and stunk of rotten milk. Also very noisy could hear people in other rooms clearly. It reminded me of a cabin you would find on a campground. The price we paid $289 a night is not worth it for the room in my opinion given the condition and standard of the facilities.

Great place

Overall great location, great room, comfortable and warm. Staff were lovely. Everything you could want. Lake is beautiful.

The pool was one of the main attractions for my booking, was unfortunately slightly to hot for the kids, so we didn't get to swim. Car park was a bit tight on occasion.

the ground floor room was perfect for us with the best view of the lake and easy access to the walking track around the lake. the geothermal pool with beach towels available for guests was great. and the layout of the room for us was great too. staff were friendly and helpful, wish we were staying here longer!

Great value for money

The staff were so friendly and warm. The location is amazing value for money. We were basically right on the lake. Our room was well equipped, clean, comfortable and warm.

The toughest thing is, if you're heading south, turning right into the property from the main road is a bit hairy. I'd suggest continuing south until you find a right turn with a median or a side street on the left to turn around so you can turn left into the property. Also, Google's directions will take you to a side street next to The Cove motel. Ignore that and aim for between The Cove and Reef Resort.

We loved the location right on the lake front and the lovely lady at the front desk, having the hot pool after doing the Tongoriro crossing was a blessing.

Perfect stay on the lake!

Beautiful location with direct lake access & views. Room was very spacious & comfortable with patio & hot tub & good in room amenities. Thermal fed pool was available.

Dayna the manager was exceptional. Coming from a Hospo background was very great to see that there are still some who want to provide genuine service. The rooms were clean and the views were just amazing.

Lovely lake edge location

Situated a couple of km out of town right on the lake edge this is a great spot to wake up in. The room was comfortable and contained everything you would expect from quality accommodation. The thermal hot pool was a bonus. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Very nice thank you.

Not good, very noisy, don't stay in anything other than the top floor if you book here.

The view from the room across the lake is lovely.

The bathroom is very outdated. We stayed in the middle floor and the noise from the top floor was terrible especially as they didn't respect the curfew on running the pump in the spa bath on either of the 2 nights of our stay. The room was also very hot and the thermostat that theoretically helped reduce the thermal heating didn't work. We had to have all the doors and windows open on both nights. Together with the noise from the top floor and the heat we didn't really get any sleep for 2 nights.
