Room was spacious and very comfortable. Beautiful location. Safe farmstay. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

We struggled to find the venue on google maps. The hosts were very helpful in giving us directions on the phone.

Just an all over lovely quiet stay.

We Enjoyed the Beautiful gardens, hosts and pets. They provided an Excellent breakfast as well with nice fresh fruit. All in such a tranquil setting.

An amazing stay at a beautiful farm

We had amazing stay at Happy Lands. The garden is beautiful, full of trees and flowers and a nice swimming pool. You drive to Addo Elephant Park (main gate) in 30 minutes. But most importantly: the owners Nita & Mike are sooo sweet! They put in so much love and passion in the B&B. They helped us with the gamedrive and made a delicious breakfast with juice from there own farm. Oh, and ofcourse the dogs!! who make sure you have a warm welcome and lots of cuddles! We are definitely coming back one day! Would recommend Happy Lands to everyone!

Exceptional hospitality, beautiful farmstay

The best thing about Happy Lands is the wonderful hospitality that Mike & Nita offer. They go above and beyond to make sure their guests are comfortable and have an enjoyable stay. It felt like we were just staying at an old friends house! Happy Lands itself is beautiful, with lovely manicured gardens, tasteful decor in the bedrooms and the separate chalets mean guests have a lot of privacy. Being on the citrus farm makes for a romantic wake-up each morning with the sound of birds and the sunrise forming over the orchards.

Nothing really, it was just perfecto for what we needed!

Garden Oasis in the Sunday River Valley

A little oasis on the outskirts of Addo. Beautifully decorated, comfortable and spacious rooms. Attention to detail makes for a delightful stay that is a short distance from the Park

Highly recommended stay with warm-hearted hosts

Nita and Mike were the most wonderful hosts, like the grandparents you ever dreamt of - so full of warmth and love. Even though we stayed for just one night, we almost felt part of their family. We also loved their super nice dogs (and cats) and the marvellous, park-like property. We stayed in the immaculate Midknight cottage, which was not only comfortable and well-appointed but also rich in history. The farm is close to Addo Elephant Park and a number of restaurants, for which Nita and Mike provided helpful recommendations. Altogether a wonderful experience!

Such a lovely place!

this place is still amazing. In the middle of nature, almost next to Addo Parc Happy Lands Farm Stay offers a great opportunity to stay before your Addo visit and even for some more days. You should arrive early to have enough time to enjoy the Garden, the Pool and the beautiful rooms. The hosts (owner of the citrus farm) are the most friendliest persons. Even if we arrived late and all restaurants were closed they made us some food for dinner. So thankful for this experience. Great breakfast also!

Be aware of insects (bring protection).

Quiet and peaceful. Very secure.

Walls and ceiling covered in black mould. Room not cleaned thoroughly, thick dust on doors, grime marks on kitchen walls, cupboards, etc. Needs hands on supervision and maintenance.

Lovely all round.

Well appointed room and sitting area. Lovely sunny stoep. Well equipped kithenette.

The bathroom needs an extractor fan , The window has no latches so it cannot be left open while taking a shower. Lots of condensation as a result making the bathroom tiles wet and slippery. The shower itself needs a non slip mat inside. I also found the mattress to be very hard. It can do with a memory foam topper.

Nita and her husband are great hosts! They have a huge and beatiful garden (it's like a small oasis) and friendly animals. The location of the farm is perfect if you'd like to visit the addo elephant park.

Beautiful oasis in the middle of nowhere, nice and cozy room, comfortable large kingsize bed (with a hard mattress!), nice and refreshing pool, nice and friendly hosts, not far from Addo Elephant Park, good price!
