Really good

The hostel is great, they swap thw owners in the middle of my stay and now is Roamer, so they swap housekipping staff, and the new ones were GREAT, really helpfull and everything was kept clean at all time. Beds are great and private too, and my room was nice. Location is amazing.

There is a long term group that refuse to do dishes everytime they use the kitchen. So sometimes the kitchen can be a mess, but hostel staff takes care of it really fast.

Highly recommend this hostel

Very central location bustling with interesting cafes, restaurants, shops, the river and train station. Staff went above and beyond, specifically Emily and Nabila, to help with a special request I had. There are various activities taking place pretty much every day. Paid (with credit card) laundry facilities are available (soap is automatically included, don't need your own). There are a few small cabins/work spaces for people who want to make calls or work by the kitchen, which was a really cool bonus. Beds are very comfortable, too.

Small detail for feedback - at least one of the refrigerators in the kitchen could use a deep clean.

Good location, okay stay.

I liked the size of the room comfort of the bed. It was really nice that there was a local able locker to put belongings in and a drawer under the bed. That staff were lovely! And there were quite a few activities available to do to meet people.

The kitchen was really messy/dirty and the fridges were overfull. It didn’t feel very social for some reason, even though it had social events. Lots of noise could be heard through the bedroom window.

okay für ein paar Nächte

Ich war 6 Tage im Selinas Central Melbourne. Bettengröße für kleine Personen bis 1,70cm gut, meine Matratze war kleiner als die Box. Matratze war sehr bequem, Stockbetten haben sich nur leicht bewegt, nur leichte Bewegungen durch obere Box zu spüren. Zimmergröße war okay, es gab Abstellfläche, Schubladen unterm Bett, abschließbare Schränke für Wertsachen. (Ja, Schrank befindet sich in der Bettbox und ist nicht optimal, war aber für mich kein Problem) Lage sehr zentral zu vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants, Supermarkt, öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln,.... Veranstaltungsangebot vom Hostel für Yoga, Ausflüge, Abendprogramm, Walking Tours,...ist sehr vielseitig und macht einen gut organisierten Eindruck. Gemeinschaftsraum ansprechend gestaltet. Fenster im Schlafraum

Sauberkeit in der Küche, den Schränken, Kühlschränken usw. lässt definitiv zu wünschen übrig. Viele Geräte (Kochplatten, Töpfe, Heiß-Wasserboiler, Geschirr) war kaputt und das Kochequipment ist begrenzt. Zu Stoßzeiten muss man anstehen um Töpfe oder Pfannen zu benutzen. Personal reinigt aus meiner Sicht nur sehr oberflächlich. Gilt für die Küche, ebenso wie für die Waschräume, Toiletten und Zimmer. Flecken in der Toilette waren auch nach 6 Tagen nicht entfernt. Da kein hoher Sauberkeitsanspruch vom Hostel selbst da ist, behandeln die Gäste die Räumlichkeiten ebenso und halten es nicht sehr genau mit Sauberkeit und Hygiene. Ist aus meiner Sicht ein Managementthema. Personal ist nicht besonders freundlich und bemüht sich auch nicht sonderlich, um den Aufenthalt angenehmer zu machen.

Great location, loads of activities planned, private showers/toilets, nice kitchen and work space. Met some great people, staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and was given a towel for $6 which was nice.

The locker inside of the bed space was in an awkward position and was difficult to open. Made the bed feel a little cramped as you would sometimes hit your knee on it

Perfect for solo female travellers

Location - It is right across from Flinders Street station and near to the cafes and tourist attractions. Female dormitory & safety - guests are issued a card to access the hostel's dormitories. The female dormitory also has a shared bathroom inside. People inside are nice Facilities - socket and storage shelf at your own bed, shared bathroom inside the room and along corridors, co-working space and kitchen, bar at the basement

Very good place to stay in Melbourne

Absolutely perfect location. Great city vibe. Very nice staff, helpful.

I didn’t like the fact guests take so little care about the place - hair and trash everywhere. Also , every drain in showers was blocked. I guess too many people coming in and out and too little staff to clean after all of them. Also, I have never seen dirtier windows in any place I’ve ever stayed before, than those in our room.

Amazing hostel

It's always great to stay here. Perfect city location in amongst restaurants, cafes, public transport, shops etc. Always a clean bed on arrival with privacy curtains and the rest. Awesome and attentive staff (thanks again Maddy). Great onsite facilities cleaned regularly. Can't go wrong with this place.

The only place I’d stay when I come to Melbourne

This is the best hostel in Melbourne, it’s in the centrer of CBD and close to everything! The rooms are so big and you don’t feel like you’re on top of the people you’re sharing with. So clean and the staff are amazing (Marco and Anika were very helpful!)

great place to stay. very welcoming

the location is great. with the free trams at the corner everything was so close. the staff were helpful, the facilities very clean and well organised and the room was warm and quiet.

the only challenge for me was getting up the ladder to the top bunk in the room. I am 67 years old and struggled a bit.

Room was stylish and cosy with nice decore, particularly the table, chair and plant. Pillows were comfy Welcome drinks, a bar, good music and the record store were all nice touches.

The bed was a bit soft and given it is against the wall its not great to get in and out of without waking the other person. Not much was explained on check in. I wish the windows were a bit cleaner because its a great view.

It was nice and comfy except the noise by the door.

The location is in CBD, very convenience. The bed is really comfy and clean. The bedroom is quite big that you dont feel crowd even there are 10 people in that dorm room.

I stayed at 2nd floor dorm room and the door at the female toilet seems doesn’t have a buffer. It closes quickly after you open and it makes a very loud noise whenever people open the door. It was quite annoying during night and morning time.

Very Social Hostel, Central clean with amazing staff!

Selina in Melbourne has a such a cool vibe, very social. The rooms were clean, bed was comfy with privacy curtains and personal sockets to charge your devices. The welcome drink was a nice treat, it has a bar downstairs and good place to socialize, the also have record store where the staff play their music that is being played in the bar. The staff are very helpful and friendly especially Marco. The common area and kitchen was clean. Location of the hostel is very central just right outside Flinders Train station and also some tram stops, as well as centrally located to some cool alley restos in CBD. The shared bathroom and shower was clean and didn’t need to wait to queue to shower which was a bonus.

The only thing i didn’t like is how awkward the locker was placed on the wall inside your own pod/bed. Even though the hostel price is a bit higher compared other places but you get the value of your money.
