Beautiful spot, in the middle of nature, by sea side. Away from city noise. Highly maintained, safe and cosy place

Loved sleeping in the jungle. Beautiful place.

Fantastisch slapen midden in het oerwoud. Je hoort letterlijk alles.
Kleding blijft klam.

It is secluded, right in the middle of the rain forest. Service was good and nothing was too much for the members of staff. Very relaxing place to stay.
Be prepared that if you go in the rainy season things will be very damp - you will literally be in the rain forest so no surprise really!

Nichts wirklich.

It’s a nice place, other than the issue they had with the water pipes, all good!
The issue with the water, not able to shower the first night and most of the second day

Breakfast was amazing and the staff was really gentle and friendly
The room was so hot and fans didn’t work well. Really poor illumination.

Nothing
We traveled as two families with small children. The accommodation was absolutely horrible. The cabin reeked of garbage, outdated and shabby equipment, two giant noisy fans on the floor, a horrible shower, transparent net walls and dangerous (for children) wooden stairs. we immediately decided not to stay here and found other accommodation. The lady at the reception told us that she can't cancel our reservation and we have to deal with booking.com. But he referred again to accommodation, which did not refund us a single dollar. And so we lost $1,260 without any service. I recommend to avoid this place with weird practices to make easy money.

We loved the exciting bungallow in the middle of the rainforest. You feel like you sleep under the trees and you can hear all the sounds of the forrest. The breakfast and optional dinner are above average, the beach is amazing and you can literarly walk to Punta Uva or Manzanillo on the coast.
The shower in the bathroom should be better and we were a bit worried about the gap below the door because of the animals like snakes.
3.0
situated close to the beach ,far awayfrom the hustle of the villages and local holiday celebrations
the place wasn’t closed…like a snake who was wandering around, could easily pass under the door
the the curtain around the bed was not clean and we wondered if the sheets/blankets where renewed/refreshed before we came
the shower:the shower holes were almost closed up ,so a little water coming through probably because of limescale

The experience it was in the jungle
The first day I checked, and I had no electricity until the next day when I had to check out. the shower leaked on the floor. No air conditioning with electricity out. The fans did not work.

The location and the place is beautiful, directly at the sea and in the middle of the jungle. The concept of the lodge is really outstanding and original.
We tried to modify our dates three days before arrival. We wrote through booking, we wrote on the direct chat, we talked to two different colleagues of the lodge. they ensured us about the modification, but at the arrival they told us that they cannot do anything. The whole team was very unmotivated and unprofessional. They did not care about anything. The breakfast was not fresh, cold rice and egg and we had to pay extra to receive some stale vegetables.

great experience in the rain forest! it was an amazing experience to be surrounded by the rain forest. lots of interesting sounds! Fiorella is an amazing manager and communicated very regularly! she was very accommodating with our late arrival.
The food was amazing, especially the breakfast. it was really an interesting menu. but the wait staff and the bartenders were novice and really needed training. it is hard to believe that the bartender ran out of local beer and couldn’t make a margarita.

Not much! Even though we could not cancel we went to stay somewhere else.
The setup, surrounding forest and their beach access had such a potential, but that was only a potential. They let the property get old and it’s not maintained at all, therefore overpriced. The forest has taken over, the piles of leafs even resulted in a smell of compost right around the dark dining area.

The location was excellent - right off the beach, in the jungle, very secluded.
The facilities - cabins, walkways, et cetera...were all fairly weathered and on their way to disrepair. For not having A/C, they gave us one box fan, which was louder than it was effective in moving air. For a "luxury experience in the jungle", the room was barely & cheaply stocked (soap, tp, and the cheapest coffee available in Costa Rica with two paper cups). And the staff member responsible for checking us in and out was fairly unprofessional - couldn't be bothered to do in either task correctly.

nature, walk to beach, calm, food and room
smell, some small kids being loud
5.0
it was set in the jungle and right on a beach .. very natural
the staff where exceptional especially Fiorella !!… she could not be more helpful .. thank you sooo much
the water for the shower was inconsistent but we understand that it is a natural resort so that was to be expected
4.5
Great idea to be so closely integrated into the jungle with the open house concept. Despite open, no issue with moskitos. Very tight nets :-)
Very friendly and professional staff. English no issue.
At the beach old and partly broken sun lounger without any pillows.

it is an amazing location, beach access and lovely bungalows!
the bungalows are looking a little dated. could do with a bit of a refresh
0.5
Its out of the touristic area and has a direct beach access, also the staff is very friendly. You can see monkeys and raccoons on the property.
The pictures are not showing the reality, it’s unfortunately not worth the amount of money. It has no walls, but only mosquito nets (with holes), so therefore it’s an insect paradise inside and all textiles are very wet and uncomfortable.
3.0
Nice breakfast and great staff
The room and bathroom are too dark, the bathroom needs better lighting.
Water pressure was terrible, toilet gave problems.
1.0
good location; great food services
horrible facilities; no cleaning; no AC; staff is not helpful
3.0
The raised bungalows are a great idea, the bed was very comfortable and the room large. the setting in the forest was great and the staff were very friendly and professional.
it’s overpriced compared to other similar properties we’ve stayed in. the beach is beautiful, really beautiful but you can’t swim in the sea there and there is no pool so you’ve got to drive, get a taxi or walk quite a way to an area we’re you can swim. the toilet in our room kept breaking and the breakfast is not sufficient if you have teenage boys and they charge you more if you need another portion

The true face and beauty of Costa Rica presented to you at this place! We absolutely loved it. I wanted to treat my daughter who lives in the uk on to something different and genuine, the Costa Rica flora and fauna delight and we all got what we wanted and more. The place respects nature and sits modestly in mid of the jungle and does not disturb in anyway it’s host the nature. Well done!
Leaving after 5 days :) we would have liked to stay more…
