Ganz besonders schön.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage der Unterkunft war super und die Lage in der Bucht ein Traum. Einfach phänomenal.

Not worth the hassle.

It's nice to be right on the beach. The room is an OK size and it's nice to have a fridge. The shower was modern and the room was clean. We had a very small terrace with a view of the sea and a place to hang wet things.

To start with practicalities, the room only had one power socket which had the one and only bedside lamp in it, so charging more than one device is problematic (unless you unplug the telly / fridge, or balance something above the loo using the shave plug). Patchy Wifi, no hairdryer provided, and we did not find the bed comfortable. Terrace has the aircon vent point directly over it so it's unusable if someone inside wants the aircon. A hairdryer and multi-plug would help a lot. Be aware, the property only accept payment in cash and refuse to provide any sort of useful receipt/invoice/proof of payment. When we asked, we were given a restaurant bill slip without confirmation of payment. We really needed one, so contacted booking.com for support, and apparently even their communication with the property was ignored. We have still received nothing. We were also unpleasantly surprised to find that the owner insisted on holding both our ID documents until payment was made, instead of the more usual 'scan and return' approach. The documents of everyone on site seem to be stored in an unlocked drawer in the front area accessible by anyone passing, which seemed very vulnerable. We could have got over all of this, apart from the fact that we found the owner unwelcoming and rude to the point of hostile. Nothing was explained clearly to us, which was particularly uncomfortable regarding the ID/payment situation.

Gorgeous hidden gem

Everything!!. This lovely compact room had a gorgeously comfortable bed, very good shower, fridge for your cold drinks and a kettle for your morning cuppa . The balcony had a table and chairs to enjoy your al fresco drinks and snacks overlooking the small stony beach. The restaurant served a brilliant selection of meals from very reasonably priced pasta to "treat yourself" grilled meats and fish. The staff were lovely and friendly and the owners also had a small campsite on site which the balcony overlooked and the atmosphere was carefree and happy. Wear wet shoes on the beach as the stones are uncomfortable! Watching the sunset whilst having a tasty meal was unforgettable!

There was nothing to dislike, the whole stay was fantastic.

Perfect place for a summer getaway

Beautiful small place, directly on the beach. Very clean. Everyone was very kind and welcoming. Delicious food at the restaurant. Close to Senj.

Lot of things missing

The location excellent, in the restaurant you can find very good food with normal prices. The lady from the restaurant is very nice and friendly. The owner also very friendly. Breakfast good value for the money. The beach near by also very nice and not crowded at all.

Small rooms, with minimal equipment. The bathroom is renewed, but very small, you can hardly fit on the toilets. Nothing to hang on the towels, or to put your things. Not even a hanger on the door. On the balcony no dryer for the clothes, we let our things all over the bed, and on the floor, because there is no table or something to let your things on. Very very minimal. We stayed there 5 nights, nobody cleaned the room or changed the towels.

Superb

Wounderful for a short getaway, the staff was really nice and flexible. The room is small but modern (as shown in the pictures) and has an airconditioner and a fridge, sitting area is on the balcony, great for warm evenings. The beach is right by the facilities, nice, and not too crowded. Water is clear, there seems to be a cold spring in the bay, but when you swim 20 m further in the water is nice and warm. The restaurant has a lovely setting by the sea, not the cheapest but also not super expensive, they offer decent normal meals (not just fast food snacks or similar). The city of Senj is just a short drive avay and is worth visiting for a nice evening stroll.
