Excellent accommodation with free parking

A fabulous house, very comfortable, great little touches like toiletries, selection of teas and coffees. Owner was very accommodating with bag drop off, car parking early on check in and able to leave after check out. Answered my questions quickly and in a friendly manner. Location great for the city, just a short walk and through the city wall.

Terrible experience

the property is in reasonable condition.

The owner. He double booked in accommodation, refused to answer his phone, and then tried to cancel our booking after the start time. He forgot to provide the parking permit until late during the first night of our stay. Overall, an absolutely shocking service.

Perfection! We didn't want to leave and would highly recommend!

Such a beautifully renovated, warm and cosy home in the heart of York. The house thoughtfully had everything we needed for adults and babies/children, i could have lived there! Tv and wifi worked instantly and without any issues, key and parking permit easy to access, heating arranged automatically, a beautiful big bath and plenty of hot water, we couldnt have asked for more. Cute little garden was a bonus and the 'extra' beds/bedroom with ensuite bathroom in the outdoor cabin was a delightful surprise, this place can definitely host larger families if needed! A short 4 minute walk into York city centre, location was also fantastic and the host, Dave, was a pleasure to liaise with. Chinese takeaway up the road also very good if you dont want to cook! Highly recommended, we will stay again :)

It was a reunion of friends who travelled from across the Country and whilst it was amazing the parking restrictions spo

it was convenient and ready for guests

Parking is a deal breaker to be honest. It is really not on to expect a rental catering for this number of guests with only one parking permit. I am well used to parking permits and there is a possibility of applying temporary ones at a low cost. There really should be a review by the owner. We had two of our group with mobility issues and parking away from the property was both physically challenging and expensive. There is no such thing as cheap parking and we weren’t able to secure any free parking within a reasonable radius.

A great place to stay.

Position great. Appliances of good quality. Comfortable and pleasant. I would certainly recommend it to couples or families.

Heated towel radiators did not heat up. A file with guidance on use of e.g tv and oven would have been useful. We have a smart TV at home but have never explored all its capabilities. Markings on oven controls very faded. These are very minor comments as we really enjoyed spending time in the house.

Perfect house for a long weekend in York!

Great value for money and everything you could need for a short stay. With beautiful York Centre within walking distance. Lovely house that was very cosy.

Property could have been cleaner (dust mainly); but I'm sure it's tricky with a quick turn around. Just being picky!

central location only few minutes walk to centre. car parking outside was great. House was amazing value for money for a family of 7. Lovely little garden with outhouse with two beds and outside bathroom was great. overall a very good property to stay in for the money we paid!

Superb

Very clean house and Dave was great at responding to messages. The house is fully equipped and perfect for what we needed. Loved and thankful for the coffee pods, tea and milk provided.

We couldn't initially find the WIFI password, but Dave was quick to respond and resolve this. Other than this no issues at all, amazing house and worth the money

A nice experience ruined by a LACK of Security for my families safety.

The host provided everything I needed to know immediately, unlike my experiences with a some AirBnB hosts that only tell you valuable info at the last minute.

The Townhouse WAS NOT SAFE. There wasn't a key to the Kitchen Door leading to the garden, and the garden gate was Unlocked with no means to secure it. Security is the #1 rule in Hospitality. I presume by the setup in the Townhouse, this was routine practice, if so, the host should be banned from renting via Booking.com In addition, the cleanliness of bedrooms where not up to par. We found hairs on the footrugs and bedding.
