Topsail Village at the Salt Pond
Our single-family home is located in the Salt Pond community, just a two minute drive from Bethany Beach. The community is built around an 18 hole, par 61, executive golf course. The Salt Pond community also offers tennis courts, an outdoor swimming with kiddie pool, a sand volleyball court, and a basketball court. The clubhouse features an indoor swimming pool and spa, exercise room, and ping pong. The community is also built around the 'salt pond', one-hundred acres of protected salt water.
Our unit features two large bedrooms on the first floor, one with a queen-sized bed, dresser, and cable TV, the second has two twin beds with trundles, dresser, and sliding doors that walk out to a large deck that overlooks the 15th green. The two bedrooms share a full bath. The laundry room, with washer and dryer, is also on the first floor.
The second floor has a master bedroom with a queen-sized bed, dresser, cable TV, and DVD player. It also has a separate sitting room with a day bed and trundle. The master bathroom has double sinks and a large stand-up shower. Also on the second floor, is a half bath, dining area (seats 10-12 people), great room with vaulted ceilings, and french doors that walk out to a large deck (with an outdoor table, umbrella, and eight chairs). The great room has a gas fire place, cable TV, stereo, DVD player, with an extensive DVD library. In addition, on the second floor there is a well-equipped kitchen and breakfast bar.
The third floor features a full bath, walk-in closet, dresser, two day beds with trundles, cable TV, DVD and Karaoke system (with Karaoke library), a built-in home-theatre system, and a separate zone heating and cooling system.
For your convenience and pleasure, we've tried to add all the little things that make your stay more enjoyable, such as in the garage you'll find at least eight bicycles of all sizes for the whole family and an electric pump (I hate the little hand ones), an extra refrigerator to fit all the drinks, a stand-up freezer -- just because, six-eight beach chairs, a wooden umbrella that won't blow away, beach toys (so you'll have extra space when packing the car), and boogie boards. There are also three kayaks available, with plenty of life jackets. The outdoor shower is private, sunny, and has a changing area inside. The gas grill has two extra full tanks, for your convenience. You'll find laundry detergent in the laundry room. The house is stocked with plenty of linens, towels, blankets, and pillows and the mattresses won't hurt your back.
Bethany Beach is known as the quiet beach, but offers great restaurants, boardwalk with ice cream shops, souvenir shops, and the usual beach gear.
Bethany Beach is located in between Rehobeth Beach and Ocean City, Rehobeth 12 miles to the North, with its boardwalk, amusement parks, fine dining, and outlets. There is no sales tax in Delaware. Ocean City has high-rise condos, miniature golf courses, and tremendous boardwalk and amusement park. For serious golfing, there are many championship courses within a 45 minute drive.

The Salt Pond location is a great place for families, and this house is great for family groups. I had my grown children/ couple spouses, and couple grandkids and we all had comfy quarters. The neighborhood is great to take the young kids on walks, and older kids can ride their bikes safely on their own. Short drive to the beach, and lots of beach amenities already at the house. We love it here (have been coming for years :)

We had a fantastic stay in Bethany. The house was definitely large enough to accommodate our group of 8 with plenty of room to spare. The garage had beach equipment and about 9 bicycles for the kids to ride around the neighborhood. Everyone loved how convenient the homeowners made our stay. We would the property recommend to anyone considering a trip to Bethany Beach!!

Had a great time with our children and their spouses and grandchildren. The house was well equipped with things to do for all ages. Location was close to the beaches but in a very quiet neighborhood . The grandchildren loved the pool and the adults enjoyed the golf course and kayaks. Highly recommend this house for a large family!

This was our second time staying here. Our family of eight adults and five children love all the activities available at Salt Pond besides the beach. The four amenity passes provided this year were very much appreciated because we had difficulty getting them last year. We had a wonderful week!

Tho my husband and i visit them often, they don't see each other very much and now that they have kids we love seeing them interact with each other.
We had rain the entire week but got a chance to use the pool and playground once, hit the beach once, hung out at the Bethany Beach boardwalk once and went to Funland at the Rehobeth Beach boardwalk. We even enjoyed crabs and shrimp one nite on the deck. The house was a pergect size and fit us all well and the extra refrig/freezer was a plus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Grocery was close too!

We had a lovely stay at Salt Pond Escape! Even with a couple days of rain, our two families (4 kids ages 9-12) had plenty to entertain us with bikes, kayaks, games and movies. The location was terrific with a short bike ride to a state park path and a quick drive to the ocean. The owners were friendly and responsive and guidelines were well outlined for our stay.

What a great find! Quietly tucked away under fragrant pines on a beautiful golf course, the house is very spacious. It has an open yet inviting appeal in every room. Plus, it's a quick and easy drive to the beach. Their kitchen is nicely stocked with extras for cooking and there is ample seating for a large group in the dining area. If you choose not to drag all your own linens on vacation, the owners do provide them at no extra cost. We took advantage of the beach chairs and bikes provided as well. It really felt like vacation since we did not have to bring all our own. We did not use the pool or clubhouse because the weather was perfect for the beach every day. What a blessing! Plus, we felt the $50/per person/per week was rather steep. (there is an option for $25/PP for a 3 day pass) With our group of 8 people plus a couple of day guests here and there, it seemed like a lot. But the accommodations at the house were great and my communications with the owners has been stellar. I highly recommend this property and hope to stay there again.

The house is huge, there were more than enough room for 8 of us. The house is on the golf course, next to the 15th hole. The community has everything: gym, pool, kayak launch point at salt Pond where you can catch crabs and fishing. Short drive from Bethany Beach. We enjoyed our stay very much!

As advertised, well equipped, well shaded, well cooled, well located, quiet neighborhood, nice neighbors, reasonably priced. Accommodated our group very well, 7 adults, 2 children, 1 infant. We have an advantage having been coming to Bethany Beach for 30 years, and staying in the Salt Pond all that time, so we are very familiar with the area and amenities. Our family outgrew our relative's Salt Pond home so this was our first use of VRBO. We'll be back if we need this much space again.

Wonderful Location for Family Beach TRip
This property is spacious, well-equipped, and convenient to the beach and a club with indoor/outdoor pools, tennis courts, golf, fitness center, playground, etc. We were a family of five adults and three children, 2 aged 4, and a one-year old. We had a great time. The only wrinkle was that we had to pay $40 per adult for a week's pass to the club's amenities, We only used the indoor swimming pool ; the outdoor pool closes September 15. It would have been helpful if the $40 per adult had been mentioned in the initial ad, which highlights use of the pools but not the cost.

Best equipped kitchen ever, owners who care!
Spacious home on golf course ( we took two hits while on deck) great quiet location, very clean and wonderfully equipped. Only thing missing was a Keurig thpe coffee pot. Comfy beds tons of linens. Unable to work out tee times. And we did not use pool due to $40 pp fee which we felt exorbitant. We realize this fee was imposed midseason but felt we should have been ads ised. Lovely owners.

Great Labor Day Getaway!
We had a wonderful time staying at this property. Three families traveled together to celebrate the end of the summer together. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own private space and great areas to gather together. Just a short drive to Bethany Beach and Rehoboth Beach board walk made this a great location for us!

We absolutely loved this place! Owners provided everything you can think of to keep things simple! Kitchen was stocked with every appliance you can think of and utensils galore! Our family enjoyed the karaoke immensely! And of course, Salt Pond is a wonderful neighborhood with great facilities! The pictures do not do justice to the amount of space there is in this house! And the amenities are amazing! So many kitchen appliances, supplies, etc! You don't need to bring a thing for outside activities as they have bikes, beach toys, beach chairs, boogie boards, tennis rackets, just to name a few! The pool/fitness/tennis court fob I recommend NOT getting 1 per adult. You really just need 1 for your group as long as you're together.

Great house. Spacious and clean. Neighborhood was great and neighbors were friendly. Location of house felt private and quiet. Would definite recommend to a friend. Only complaint would be, there were definitely a lot of bikes (different sizes for the whole family) but they were not all functioning bike (broken chain/blown out tires); only about 1/2 of the adult bikes were able to be ridden but outherwise, great place!

Wonderful
The place was wonderful. The hosts provided so many amenities that improved our stay. There were plenty of bikes, beach chairs, and beach towels for the 8 of us. There was a collection of board games that we played in the evening after the beach. The kitchen had every appliance: in addition to the normal pots/pans, there were items like a milkshake maker, food processor, rice cooker, slow cooker, everything we could have wanted. The house somehow seemed to be larger in person than it appears in the pictures. The community is quiet and peaceful. We had a great time and have already started to make plans to come back.

Overall, we really enjoyed the property. It had plenty of space for our family. The living and dining area was updated and comfortable but some of the other furniture, as well as kitchen appliances and bathrooms, were in need of updating/maintaining. Very well stocked house for large groups
The house is spacious and well suited for a few families. The kitchen is well stocked for making meals for large groups. They have everything you could need at the house (beach chairs, kayaks, tennis rackets, basketball, fishing rods, board games, poker chips). The weather was cold during our stay, so we were thankful to have all the games and large movie selection. The hosts are very communicative and helpful. I would recommend bringing your own sheets to avoid having to wash and dry them all before you leave. We would highly recommend this house and would like to come back in the summer when we can really enjoy all the amenities.

Great stay in Bethany Beach
We had a great trip and would definitely recommend this property to any family looking to visit Bethany Beach. Working with Jamie & Somjai couldn't have been easier. The house was clean and larger than we expected. Plenty of space for everyone. Using the bikes for the short ride to town was perfect and we also enjoyed playing a round of golf at The Salt Pond. Looking forward to coming back soon.
