Good value for money

Easy access. The pub restaurant with very warm and pleasant staff. The room was quaint

The bed could have been a bit more comfortable and despite the heating on, the room took a long time to warm up.

Would stay there again

Perfect for a one night stay. Room was clean and had everything I needed. Comfy bed. Room felt secure. Plenty of free parking. Can't comment on the food as I didn't try it. Would happily stay there again if I am in the area.

A minor point but the en suite bathroom had no door :-) There was no bathroom light switch but the light came on when you walked into bathroom area (presumably censor) and stayed on for quite a while. Slightly annoying if you used the bathroom during the night as the whole room was lit up.

Friendly family hotel and definitely book again

Location is very good. The S21 cafe for breakfasts good value but sadly I didn’t have time to eat breakfast at the hotel restaurant as it only does Sundays. I would like to try their evening menu though another time

I would have liked a renovated room which I would ask for next time as the shower/bathroom is much better than the one I had.

Restful and warm welcome

Lovely friendly and helpful, a very warm welcome from all the staff. Nice size single bed which was very comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Lots of hanging space in the wardrobe. The room was a good size and overall very good. The restaurant downstairs was a real treat with very tasty food, but it's not a fast food restaurant so give yourself time to relax and enjoy. Parking is free. Overall a lovely stay. I would recommend. .

It's very difficult to get everything right all the time I fully appreciate that, so I hope this doesn't sound like nit picking, the window and blinds were a bit dusty and some of the flooring too. There is an Aircon in the room but no remote control to work it but tbh I didn't mention it to reception and I should have. There's no loo paper holder, it is just a little thing but would have been nicer. The automatic light on the landing didn't stay on long enough for me, but I am not quick on my feet.

Great value and comfortable accommodation.

Very good value accommodation which would be hard to better. I had a quiet room which had an excellent comfortable bed and tea and coffee making facilities. The staff were very helpful.

Very little to dislike if your looking to stay overnight, or a few days, it’s well worth the trip.

Overall it was an okay place to stay for a short stopover. The staff were lovely.

The room was fine. It was very clean and the bed was fine to sleep in.

I was kept awake by someone walking about upstairs. The floor was creaking so I presume it was someone in another room.

Great value for money! Great Service!

The service was exceptional. The lady at reception with glassed when above and beyond to help us sort out a taxi and made us feel so welcome. We were pleasantly surprised with the room as the photos on booking.com are not good and I think If they were updated it would make the hotel a top choice.

I know it can't be helped but the traffic and road noise was awful! It woke me up several times!! Maybe more insulation for the windows would help. The bed was comfy however it does really dip in the middle and me and partner both kept falling in the middle.

A nice, very reasonably priced room for visiting area with nice hosts and plenty of parking.

it was quiet location. easily found by satnav postcode very clean and very welcoming, nice and warm in rooms too. comfy bed with plenty pillows/ good warm duvet had all I needed for a night’s stay tea/coffee provided. good parking at property and good key access so felt very safe. we could have bought a breakfast but needed to get going home! A nice reception/ restaurant/function area/bar.

the PIR lights on the landings did not come on until you took a step into the dark 😳 and didn’t light my friends room (down a separate corridor) at all, so had to use phone lights to see where her door lock was 🙄. The PIR outside my (nice twin room up another landing) didn’t stay on long enough to get down the steep steps outside it (when leaving the room) and the corridor below didn’t light up at same time either so was stepping into the dark with case and bag and didn’t know how many steps down there were and no light 😳 as it had gone off by then. Going up the steps the corridor light below did light these steps ok - but as I wrote earlier I had to walk into the dark to turn it on. I would suggest the lovely helpful ladies (who to their credit are doing a lot of work) look at the settings so the whole corridor (including to room 1 ) lights up and the landing to room 6) and stay on long enough. I know power is expensive but…. needs doing.

everything , when we got there , no one would let us in ,there is a number to ring apparently but it doesn’t ring .. when you turn up it looks like something out of a horror movie .. very scary .. was a relief when we couldn’t get in although it cost us to stay in the ibis up the road .. avoid avoid avoid , felt like we had just been ripped off

no hitting at night , I was freezing slept with socks and all blankets on top , was 13 degrees in the room at 2 am , in this cold weather this is absolutely not acceptable. I am very regretful that I have chosen this place . I was waiting over 5 min in the freezing bathroom to wait for a hot water.

Great place for travellers, with room for imporvement

Quiet location, easy parking, very pleasant entrance, room had all facilities, friendly staff, the door lock being manual is very helpful as prevents being accidentally locked out

The room was very nice,the heating was available if needed.Very goos value for the overnight stay.

The only thing was , on that nights stay we happened to be on the road side ,which I'm not used to at home,but it DIDNT actually keep me awake.

Budget hotel close to a wedding we were going to Large room bed comfortable. AMAZING SHOWER

The room was on the top floor to get to it the floorboards had sagged so felt dangerous.tge room smelt musty and again the floor was on a slant..noise from the main road was quite bad but for the price a comfy stay

Overnight stay, basic accommodation, but price matched property

The location was great, check in and out smooth and easy, staff very friendly

This is budget accommodation, bit more like a hostel than hotel, the room had some lights that didn’t function , but over all the condition of the property matched the price you pay .
