Once we got there it was bliss!!!!

Such a lovely beautiful cottage. We had complimentary bubbles and treats which was amazing!!! The rooms were huge and the beds were sooooo comfortable!!!!

The postcode didn’t match up perfectly on Google maps so it took us about an extra 30 minutes to find it. Had to stop in a pub and ask for help.

Lovely weekend cottage

The cottage is lovely and in a great location. Great to have the use of a wood burner . Pop in to the News room across the road .

The bed was damp which meant putting towels on top of the sheet

Exceptional

Everything - very clean and cosy cottage, all the amenities needed and a great location - walking distance to the shops and a bar across the road! Jo mentioned that she bought a new mattress for the bedroom upstairs and honestly, one of the best night's sleeps we've had - tempted to get one for our own home! Can't fault the cottage at all and we'll definitely be back.

That we didn't stay for longer.

Lovely little property in a great central location for many of the sites in Derbyshire.

Easy to collect keys, owner prompt and clear with information about the property. Good sized rooms and beds with nice bathroom giving option for bath or shower. Kitchen decently equipped. Excellent water pressure.

Kitchen sink is very inconvenient - the tap is stiff and you cannot control the water well, which combined with the strong water pressure makes it difficult to get a steady stream of water and the water often comes out in considerable force, spraying the whole counter (and your own face!) with water. The sink is also small and round making it difficult to wash may items easily. There is a dishwasher but certain items need to be washed by hand and if you need to do a lot o washing upo by hand, the kitchen is not suited to this.

Beautiful cottage, great location, helpful host!

Jo is super helpful and responsive. Cottage is beautiful, lovely little outdoor terrace area too and so well equipped. It's also in the perfect location, close to some lovely bars and a short walk down the hill into the centre. Our second time staying at the cottages and we'll definitely be returning.

Nothing really, only small thing to mention is that the mattress on upstairs bed dipped and a little uncomfortable. Also a steep hill back up from the town but we just jumped in a taxi :)

The stairs are extremely steep even for the most mobile but it didn’t detract from our enjoyment of the property. There were also a few chipped pieces of crockery that need replacing.

Cosy and beautiful cottage. Loved the quirky features. Gorgeous bathroom. Short walk down to the town centre.

The parking space was a bit awkward for our car so parked on the street nearby.

Superb

The cottage was lovely and clean. Very cosy in the evenings. Beds were huge and very comfortable, just what was needed at the end of busy days walking and visiting local areas. A great 5 days break.

idyllic cottage in a perfect location with two pubs in your doorstep!

matched description - it was cosy, warm, clean, the kitchen facilities perfect, beds - enormous and comfortable. communication with host excellent!

off road parking could be a problem for some, again, this was just as advised in description so we were aware of that!

great romantic cottage loved it x

5star all the way 1st time away with my girlfriend so was a little worried everything would go ok but when i arrived and found everything straight forward and easy. thank you for a great stay jo x

Absolutely faultless! Lovely, cosy cottage and the best nights sleep!

The cottage was faultless! It was cleaned to a very high standard, the beds and linen were 5* quality! Lovely welcome biscuits, very friendly host! It was very well equipped and in a great location for exploring the Peak District! Excellent value for money, I would highly recommend!

Cottage was lovely but location disappointing.

Lush beds. Lovely and clean

Noisy town centre location. Not as picturesque as pic suggests. Parking was an issue. Had to ask neighbour to move car over. Still burnt my clutch. Outside space on a main road and very tiny.

Lovely stay!

House was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Location is good although the walk up the hill from town is pretty steep! There are plenty of places to eat and drink in town.

A couple of very small things I would rectify, bins needed in both bedrooms and bathroom. Storage is limited in the ground floor bedroom. The parking is very tight! The house is very comfortable for two people, I think it would be quite snug for 4 adults.
