Séjour en mode « routard » ! Quartier super mais logement précaire !

Proche de la rue principale (station balnéaire) ! Tous les commerces à proximité ! Quartier dynamique ! Jolie terrasse conviviale pour rencontrer les autres voyageurs !

Les douches c’est « camping » et les chambres c’est « cellule de prison » !

Angenehmer Aufenthalt mit Insel-Flair

Das Guesthouse versprüht absoluten Insel-Flair. Das Doppelzimmer ist einfach aber komfortabel eingerichtet. Alles war sehr sauber, dadurch, dass die Unterkunft bon Natur umgeben ist, sind Besuche von Ameisen oder anderen Insekten nicht auszuschliessen. Der allgemeine Aufenthaltsbereich ist sehr gross und einladend. Trinkwasser kann kostenlos aufgefüllt werden. Die Lage ist optimal mit einigen süssen kleinen Restaurant in unmittelbarer Nähe und knapp 4-5 minütigem Spatziergang zum Strand.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt

Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich. Die Anlage und die Zimmer sind sauber. Alles sehr einfach gehalten. Es wird jeden Morgen der Hof und die Wege gekehrt. Es gibt viele Katzen und meine Kinder haben es geliebt. Die Katzen sind sehr zutraulich.

Good experience overall shoutout to the hamak at the front of the house

The staff were super kind and chill. Always smiling and trying to help you if you have any problem. Don’t be scared to talk with them they are really kind <3

Not much if you don’t like cat just know that this guesthouse is really cat friendly can be a cons for some people.

Great for basic needs and chill people

It was close to the center, had a nice commin area with music and had lots of cats ❤️

Nothing special, but there was no AC in the room so it was very hot and it was relatively basic with the toilets getting clogged or overflowing most of the time.

- отсутствие холодильника, общий холодильник плохо работает - по вечерам рядом бегают собаки, страшно выходить на улицу - в домик залезали ящерицы - иногда пахнет канализацией из туалета, чувствуется в комнате - по ночам, кажется, кто-то расстреливал птиц из какого-то ружья

Цена завышена за данный отдельный домик…но если вы не планируете постоянно там находиться, а всего лишь переночевать, то

Понравилось расположение: недалеко от центра и пляжа, не слышно шума машин. На территории много зелени, много котов, персонал приветливый. Мы снимали отдельный деревянный домик, где есть свой гамак. Так же есть кондиционер и вентилятор. И, пожалуй, на этом всё…

Фотографии не совсем соответствуют действительности. Домик деревянный и старый, большие щели в полу, в стенах, комары постоянно залетают… двери хлипкие… днем очень сильно нагревается домик, розеток катастрофически мало и они находятся высоко и в 1 месте, некуда повесить одежду, всего 2 маленьких прикроватных столика… за 9 дней пребывания ни разу не убрались и даже не предложили, мусор выносили только из ведра, которое находится на улице, соответственно, ни постельное белье, ни полотенца не менялись…

Relaxing atmosphere surrounded by nature!

Gecko Guesthouse is located in an excellent position, right in front of Pantai Cenang Beach and in the area of many restaurants. We had a pleasant stay and we loved being around cats all the time! If you love cats, that's the place to be in Langkawi :)) All the staff was super available and Chief is the best local guide (he gave us sooo many useful tips on the island!). WI-FI is good and I would suggest this place and its atmosphere for digital nomads or remote workers :))

I'd suggest to invest in mosquito nets and repellents as the area of the hostel is pretty bad for mosquitos and our room did not have any kind of protection. The boss of the place could be more kind and available by accommodating guests' requests.

Esternamente e molto accogliente ha questa tettoia con tavoli un piccolo bar, e il ragazzo molto gentile e sorridente anche il proprietario lo nulla da dire posizione ottima si è subito in centro.

Volevamo fare più gg e ci ha dato una quadrupla e meno male perché le stanze sono piccole, non c’è nulla dove appoggiare i panni vivi con la valigia, il problema che non vengono curate in bagno non appoggi niente, fuori del bagno un lavandino minuscolo, non c’è un bicchiere anche di plastica per mettere lo spazzolino, non c’è niente di niente, l’aria condizionata va e fa un rumore forte tutta la notte ma senza non dormi

It had everything you needed and a good vibe - Chief was amazing, always had good advice and helped me out getting to the airport at the end of my trip - couldn’t recommend him or the place highly enough - stay here!

Cheap and best

Best location and was very near to the beach. The property resides at the heart of the city. Mr. Chief was very supportive and helpful. He guided us in all possible ways.

Wifi at the property was laggy but does the work. Try getting the room near to the reception area for stronger wifi connection.

Mysigt område nära till stranden och restauranger! Jättetrevlig personal som var väldigt hjälpsamma och gav tips om saker att göra/vart man ska äta. Bor definitivt här igen nästa gång jag besöker Langkawi!

Diese Unterkunft ist einfach der Hammer! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hat einem geheime Tipps zum Erkunden der Insel gegeben. Beim Ausleihen eines Rollers haben sie ebenfalls geholfen. Das Zimmer ist sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Anlage ist sehr schön und hat einen angenehmen Vibe.

Goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Heb meermaals verlengd.

- Heel fijn personeel. Chief lijkt misschien op het eerste zicht streng, maar is een heel coole, aardige man! Hij heeft ook de beste aanbevelingen voor dingen in de buurt, transport etc. (Goedkoper dan zelf boeken) - de katten die rondlopen zijn heel grappig en schattig - goedkoop hostel voor wat je krijgt! Drankjes zijn ook goedkoop.

Bedden zijn wat krakerig door het plastic rond de matrassen, maar iedereen ervaart dit dus maakt niet echt uit 🤪

Great vibe, lovely experience

- the place is a vibe, it's relaxed there's a nice communal area and it's off the main strip - there are a few nice local eateries close by that offer cheaper alternatives - hammocks and clothes line were handy to have - cold filtered water available - communal fridge - Chief was nice and helped arrange tours - location was great, everything is in walking distance to main beach

- there's a rooster that will wake you up at 7am on the dot every morning - bed rooms are basic, we only had a sheet so at night it sometimes got cold - in the evenings it could get louder in the communal area despite the 'curfew' but folks do usually abide by the rules. Seems like luck of the draw depending on the other guests

War prima für die paar Tage, die wir auf Langkawi verbracht hatten.

Lage, Preis und Personal sind super.

Etwas für die Klamotten zum Aufhängen/Unterbringen wäre prima. Trotz Bitte (Hinweisschild des Guesthouse), ab Mitternacht auf die Gäste Rücksicht zu nehmen, gibt es Gäste, die gern noch länger ein Schwätzchen halten.

Un endroit très agréable où l’on se sent chez soi.

L’emplacement très agréable. La proximité de la plage et en même temps un peu au calme. Les espaces communs sont très pratiques lorsque l’on a des enfants. Ils peuvent jouer tranquillement à l’extérieur. Très bon rapport qualité-prix. La gentillesse et la disponibilité du personnel. Le wifi fonctionne très bien. La proximité des restaurants.

Расположение отличное. Декор самой территории тоже очень хороший. На территории также живет много очаровательных котов! Они украшение этого места)

Самый главный минус - человек на рецепшене хам. Там есть разные люди, и я так понимаю сильно зависит на кого вы попадете. В первый раз мы попали на женщину и все было ок, но потом я обратилась с вопросом к мужчине и он был невероятно груб - от интонаций до фраз. Наверное нужно рассказать ему, что с клиентами не стоит так общаться, и тогда это место будет лучше. Второй сильный минус - слышимость. Вы будете слышать каждый чих, слово, шаг людей за стеной и не дай бог там окажется пара с маленьким ребенком как у нас. Нам пришлось сбежать из номера и вернуться глубоко вечером конда все уснут. Но о том чтобы починить в номере днем в жару не может быть и речи - уснуть можно было только в наушниках с шумоподавлением.

Entspannte Wohlfühloase auf Langkawi

Das Guesthouse hat eine tolle Lage, nur 2min zum Strand, Restaurants direkt vor der Tür, aber weg vom Trubel der Hauptstraße. Der Gemeinschaftsbereich ist gemütlich und lädt zum verweilen ein, man kann leicht andere Reisende kennenlernen oder sich auf die eigene Terasse zurückziehen, wenn man Ruhe sucht. Im Guesthouse können Touren und Transfer gebucht werden, die besten Empfehlungen und Tipps gibt es gratis dazu. Bei unserer Anreise verpassten wir die letzte Fähre und das Guesthouse war trotz Hochsaison so freundlich unsere Buchung um einen Tag zu verschieben, auch eine spontane Verlängerung wurde trotz hoher Auslastung ermöglicht. Vielen Dank!

Lovely accommodation in heart of Langkawi

Super friendly, centrally located accommodation within a couple of mins walk from the beach, plenty of restaurants and shops. Very chilled vibe, lots of cute cats, bright colours, and great common area. Bike rental just round the corner. Chief was great and helped us with planning our trip in other parts of Malaysia. Thank you for a fab stay!

Not Guesthouse's fault but unfortunately, a few of the guests didn't keep noise down after midnight in common area (even though there is a big sign asking people to be respectful after midnight, and you are also told this at check in) so ear plugs were needed.

Wonderful stay in Langkawi

The whole experience was simply amazing. The chill vibe, the location but mostly the host. Chief was the most fantastic person you can ever come across. Genuine, helpful, friendly, great person. Gave us the best advice, helped us sorting out anything we needed, also, very flexible with our booking as we arrived late due to lack of ferries. Chief is the man. Don’t look any further.
