Amazing stay!

Wonderful place to relax and disconnect, also good for Tikal sunrise tour. The Staff is extremely friendly and the food is good. Nice atmosphere. We loved everything (especially Lola and Blackie). Would definitely recommend it and stay there again!

El mejor Lugar en el lago Petén

Me encanto la comida... Deliciosa! El personal es muy amable..El lugar es encantador..muchos ambientes para disfrutar el lago, atardeceres y amaneceres!! Utilizamos los cayak y fue espectacular!!! Lo repetiría !!! Un lugar donde aman y respetan los animales.

rust en comfort op unieke locatie

We kregen een kamer met een privé terras direct aan het meer. De andere kamers liggen in een rij naast elkaar met gemeenschappelijk terras. De gemeenschappelijke ruimten zijn zeer luxueus, prettige bar met lekkere cocktails De kamers zijn iets eenvoudiger. Wel een vatje drinkbaar water voorzien. De maaltijden, die inbegrepen zijn in de prijs, omvatten voorgerecht, hoofdgerecht en dessert met een correcte bediening aan tafel. ’s Morgens en ’s avonds vers geperst fruitsap. We zwommen in het meer na de excursie, een welkome afkoeling, maar zagen de volgende morgen bij het ontbijt een krokodil voorbij zwemmen.

La vista hacia el lago es espectacular, la comida que ofrecen es deliciosa.

La ubicación, no está nada céntrico. Deberían de tener auto o Tuc Tuc gratuito para transportar de un lado a otro a los turistas.

Excellent car très reposant. L’eau de la rivière est claire et pas trop froide.

La primera noche estuvimos en la cabaña 1, el colchón estaba viejo y hundido en la mitad. Le dije a la recepción y de inmediato reaccionaron de manera muy diligente.

Fantastic spot. Would recommend a long stay and bringing your family!

Our family of five with three young kids stayed 6 nights at Gringo Perdido and had an excellent time. The hotel has an incredible lakeside setting, with plenty of activities to keep families occupied (swimming, kayaking, relaxing, visits to archeological sites, visits to Flores, short hikes etc...). Overall the hotel is very family friendly, with lots of things for kids to do, and plenty of other families around. The food was excellent and healthy (both set meals at lunch and dinner, and food on the menus available throughout the day). Bar was well stocked, and cocktails were very tasty. Mood was wholesome and relaxing. Not at all rowdy, the kind of place where you head to bed early and wake up refreshed for the following day.

Very little. If they wanted to improve they could have more toys for kids, and board games for guests to use. But these are really differences at the margin.

I loved the place and would love to come back.

The property is immersed in the lakeside jungle. The lake is the backdrop for this great place.

I love nature so having all sorts of critters around did not bother me. some people might not like this.

Hotel Gringo Perdido is located in a beautiful and magical spot in El Remate .

It is not that we don’t like the property, is that for example we did not took advantage of the facilities and extras we had in our suite, (terrace and jacuzzi) to give you an example because even though it was clean, want to make clear that the cleaning people were A no. 1, . Jacuzzi needs to be renovated, did not looked spick and span although it was clean. The cushions of the terrace furniture need to be replaced and renovated too. p
