Management not available at night to stop massive party in the building. Safety became an issue.

The room was nice and clean and really well located.

The problem with this place is that there is no staff present or available for emergencies. During our stay one of the units was rented out for a massive party that ran from 2am to 10 am the following day (8 hours). The party took place on a patio right outside our window and in a lower unit with a shared stone stairwell that amplified the sound). We tried and tried to reach the property manager all night long and there was no answer to the phone or to messaging. While I believe the property was lied to by the people who held the party it is just not acceptable to not have anyone available to help. We were kept up for the entire night. When we did reach the manager in the morning (he said he did not respond in the night because he was sleeping) he was very nice and jumped right on it. The situation required intervention by the Panama City Police and I had to provide photos and a written statement to the police, which I was happy to do. We were also given a refund for that one night. It should also be noted that the building is only as secure as the guests make it. Since there is no one available to help, the party people unlocked the doors and 50+ people were in the building with no supervision. They were roaming the halls and stairs shouting and partying, and when we asked them to be quiet they threatened us with their gestures and behavior. We could not go outside to find the police because they were between us and the door to the building. Without a promise that someone can be reached 24 hours a day I would not stay at Diamontes. It is just not safe or quiet without that assurance. I do want to say that the property manager was very responsive once he got up in the morning to find our many messages, but he was staying at a farm somewhere not nearby and had no one to send over to help right away. Things need to change in terms of management so you can feel safe at the property and get a good night's sleep.

Would stay again, great location, great value.

Location was ideal, small but very clean and comfortable, short walk to everything in Casco Viejo. Personal 4th floor veranda.

I think there was a communication gap... an unknown person knocked on the door with a charge card machine to collect payment. I didn't expect this, he had no proof of legitimacy and this just seemed odd.

Great location and comfortable

The location is perfect, it is very close to the going out areas however at the hotel it is very calm. The room we got was great it is named “cute room”, indeed it is cute, comfortable with kitchenette and laundry room. It also has a big terrace.

Wonderful apartment in the heart of the Old Town

My stay at Los Diamantes was amazing. The mini apartment that I got was at the top floor and it had a fantastic view over the old the town. The place was equipped with all the facilities that a traveler needs: a small kitchen, a laundry and drying machine, air conditioning, fast internet etc. The apartment was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Finally, the location was super central and safe; right at the heart of the old town.

Our stay was amazing, definitely coming back!

Our stay at Los Diamantes was amazing, we loved the park view, the spacious rooms and the closeness to everything within Casco Antiguo. Also, we want to give a special thanks to Juan for his great attention and welcoming vibe, you made our stay great!

We liked everything, no complaints! Just one small comment - in your booking profile you have all pictures together and can't really tell which of the floors/airbnbs one is renting. Both are AMAZING, but it would be good to know which one to expect to plan how to accommodate.

Was disorganized and glad the housekeeper could help me. Will not stay there again.

Location was good. The housekeeper was very helpful and room was clean.

I let them know I would be arriving at 4pm. Called the manager a few times without him picking up. They do not have someone at the front desk and had to wait outside with my dog. After banging on the door a housekeeper let me in. She was amazing. Helped me get settled in. She had to fix the AC as the heat was making my dog sick. I tried to pay several times, that day and the next day. My dog had vet appointments then next day and I wanted to check out before going to Panama City. Manager did not show up so I could pay and go to the next hotel. He finally sent someone to collect payment. I had to then go back into PC. No elevator and room on 4th floor. On their site, says English spoken, No English

Perfect location, too expenseive for a night

Mostly the location is well located, that is

I had to contact someone over via whatsapp (did not know about this) to get access to the building. Coming from Belgium, clearly my roaming is off and I was not aware fo this, hence did not manage to access the building. Cleaning lady eventually let me in (very kind people and helpful) and helped me out as much as possible/ Later that eve I am requested to pay the night stay. Booking states clearly 37EUR/night, eventually had to pay over 60EUR because of the way the airbnb falsely stated the discounted night (by adding a massive 30EUR/night tax charge) which is a "scam" to me.

Lovely stay in a beautiful place.

The location of the property was excellent and what we expected. The staff members were very helpful and resolved any issues we had promptly. We had a problem with the air con in our room on the first night which the owner was unable to repair. He kindly gave us a full refund for our first night and moved us to a beautiful suite for the 2nd night at now extra charge.

Any issue we had was quickly resolved. We would highly recommend the owner, property and location.

Superb

The location, the vibe, the history. Wonderful architecture, many museums and things to do. Accessible to many parts of Panama City. The staff at the hotel were great and friendly. Would stay there again.

The private deck could have had better seating and an umbrella or pavilion to provide more privacy from above and next door. The noise from the adjacent bars was a bit over whelming.

Superb

Great location in Casco Viejo. Super clean. Loved the balcony in the late afternoon because it was shaded, so it was great for happy hour. The host arranged transit for us to and from the airport.

We had a small room so no place to eat breakfast except on the bed, since no place for a table and chairs.

A/C unit must be connected to a motion sensor installed in the bedroom so when you are asleep and don't trigger the sensor there is no A/C in the room.

Good for a night in Casco, bad for a long stay with heavy bags...

We were waiting on the street for 20mins before anyone let us in. It was on the 4th floor with no elevator and had to carry all bags upstairs.

Beautiful room with high ceilings, balcony, perfect location in the old town but in quiet road.
