Home has everything you need and perfectly on the beach, with an amazing view. The downside is that we found empty cans under the house, it smelled musty when we 1st arrived. The towels smell like mildew and it looked like someone dumped their burned firewood with cigarettes by the side if the house.

We had a fantastic trip! Having two living spaces and kitchens was extremely helpful. The views were breathtaking. Only thing of note was you have to walk over approximately 10 rough rock steps of varying sizes to get to the beach. This wasn’t exactly clear from the pictures and a little challenging for the older people in our party. The fire pit was great. We would love to come back!

Salty Shores is a beautiful beachfront home. Amazing views of ocean, beach, sunsets from 2nd floor deck w/ glass railing.
Well-stocked Kitchen upstairs & Kitchenette downstairs. New cooking utensils needed & new coffee cups, as most are chipped. No recycling available.
Spacious, bright upper living space with awesome views of ocean & beach. Living room sofas are beautiful but sagging & soft.
Clean spacious bathrooms. Good supply of toilet paper & toiletries. Some older, thinning musty-smelling towels need replacing.
On first evening Thursday, we found downstairs bathtub was not draining. Reported to Vacasa immediately. Took 2 days for worker to come & unclog it.
Time to rotate/replace upstairs sagging queen & 2 bunk double mattresses. Family members did not get good sleep. Blackout curtains would be a plus due to bright street lamp.
Bunk bed comforters had strong sweaty, musty odor. Need washing or better laundry detergent. Downstairs king bedroom was adequate & comfortable.
Used gas BBQ grill a lot & started a bonfire in firepit with wood provided. Beach.
Checked out Saturday & within 2.5 hours driving home, realized leaving an item at Salty Shore. Called Vacasa immediately to report it. I then calle Monday -Item was found & turned into local office. Rep says someone will call me. Vacasa states on website they’ll ship lost items. Been 10 days & no call from Vacasa. I called again & Item is still at local office. Still waiting for Vacasa to call back.

Lovely, well-stocked home with fabulous view and easy beach access. Only concern with our stay was the queen bed had a broken leg on the bed frame which rendered it unsafe and unusable. My 37 year old son slept the first night (after a long drive) on the couch and his wife slept in a bunk bed with their 3 year old. Maintenance was attentive, said the issue was already “on the radar”, and came the next day to do an interim fix as a new bed frame was necessary. Overall, everyone—from the 3 year old to the 80 year old—had a great time!

The Salty Shore is the best beach house we’ve stayed in on the Oregon Coast. You can’t beat how close it is to the ocean and the amazing views! You can tell the owners have carefully curated every part of the house - from the decorations to the decks! The best part is definitely the upper deck with the glass railing! This is such a lovely home, we can’t wait to come back!

Even though we had some stormy fall coast weather the house was perfect for just relaxing and watching the storms right out the front windows. Would not hesitate to return especially with a larger group as the upstairs and downstairs are both well equipped for separation or for togetherness.

Great location on a quiet beach. The view was amazing! The house has a unique layout with two floors and two kitchens. The furnishings were modern and comfy. We had a great time and enjoyed the house very much. We were sad to leave and are ready to come back again in the future.

What an amazing stay at The Salty Shore! We were lucky enough to celebrate 4th of July here and it was spectacular. We had a front row seat to all of the impressive fireworks up and down the beach that night – incredible. The house is large enough to accommodate our group but also cozy enough to provide a variety of spots for different family members to enjoy… We loved coffee on the lower deck in the morning and dinner on the upper deck in the evening while the sun set over the Pacific. We also enjoyed the two living rooms so some of could watch a movie while others were upstairs having a nice conversation or reading. The firepit was a great spot to enjoy the warm evenings, and on lazy afternoons, we chilled out in the hammocks. The views are stunning from both levels and having the beach literally right out our door for long walks couldn’t be beat. We will definitely return. Highly recommend.

We loved everything about the house. The furniture is inviting and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything necessary to cook and clean. The panoramic view is perfect. There were only 2 of us and our dog, but the house would easily accommodate more.
We did, however, have a problem with ants. There was a small ant trap on the floor that our dog found. Fortunately, we saw her with it and took it from her. We put the trap on the counter, but when we returned from a shopping trip, there were tiny ants on some food items. We put everything away, got rid of the ants that were there, and didn’t have any more problems. The house was immaculate, and we hope to return, but thought you should be aware of the problem.

We just returned from a FANTASTIC stay at The Salty Shore. The spacious home is beautifully decorated, with gorgeous views on both levels. We were excited to find a huge upper deck and a cool hanging chair that were not featured in the photos (yet?), very fun! On the stormy days, we loved hanging out in the upstairs living area with the fire going and jazz playing, watching the huge waves roll, or curling up on the big sectional downstairs watching TV and relaxing. We also lucked out with a gorgeous day and sunset during our stay (in January!) so we explored the cute, quirky town of Rockaway on the adorable Salty Shore cruiser bikes. We also loved that it was dog friendly! Amazing stay. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back.

The home is great but communication is poor and quite challenging with Vacasa. Home owners are great and on point with communication. You won’t have good selection of restaurants in town if you’re hoping for options. View and access to the beach is amazing.

Our visit was great. The home is right on the ocean front with a nice stone staircase to walk down to the beach. Couple of little things. Dishwasher for the primary kitchen did not work which was a pain. For nine people we ran out of toilet paper on the second day. When I reached out, but was told to go buy some because they only supply two per bathroom, I wasn't very happy about that considering the number of days and people we booked. Sleeping for nine was a little tight with two kids sleeping on the couch. The couches were not pull-out beds, but kids were comfortable. Overall, it was a great trip but the little issue on the T-paper left me with a little bad memory.
