About this house rental
Family owned since 1992, our 2 story 2,100 square foot home is designed to maximize the expansive ocean views from both the upper and lower floors, with the main bedroom upstairs and 2 additional bedrooms on the lower level. Each level has a full bathroom.
This cottage style home has wood accents throughout with a wood burning fireplace upstairs and LCD TV. The extended dining area contains a wet bar, stereo/CD player, and two tables for dining. All with a view and access to the upper deck.
The lower level is furnished with comfortable seating, TV/VCR, game table, full size futon, second full bathroom, laundry room, and extra refrigerator/freezer. There is direct access to the large lower deck and ocean view hot tub. Perfect for vacation!
Our private volleyball court is perfect for sheltered relaxation, a spirited game of volleyball, or there's room for both just off the lower deck. An easy stroll about 50 yards further down a dedicated sandy path gets you to the main beach. We love not only our "little beach" for small children to play and volleyball, but also the close proximity to Clark's creek for family fun in shallow water. You can't beat our view of Twin Rocks, the ocean waves, and the sunset!

My family and I loved our short stay (3 nights) at your beach house. The home was lovely and had everything that we needed. We picked this home because of the beach access and the incredible ocean views. It was even better than we hoped. We were blessed with amazing weather and beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed the home, the beach, hot tub, and the town. It was the perfect location for our plan to explore the coast from Astoria to Pacific Beach. I highly recommend.

This house was exactly what we were looking for and a great value. The view was amazing and having just a short walk down to the beach was perfect with a 4 year old and 1 year old. We could also walk to all of the rockaway shops and my daughter loved watching the train go by daily. Definitely plan on staying here again.

The house was wonderful. It was clean and well stocked. We loved the hot tub and direct access to the beach. You don’t hear the noise from the road behind it at all. My one criticism would be the pack’n play was ancient and almost impossible to put together. Other than that- it was excellent! I would absolutely go back with the kids or just for an adult getaway.

We had a lovely weekend at this place. Although it rained and we could not walk to the beach, we enjoyed the beautiful views from the upper living room while we played cribbage. Very spacious upper and lower level bedrooms with bathrooms and living space. Would recommend highly. Something to be aware of: responsibilities for leaving and upkeep are big- see listing and read carefully.

The pictures don't do the property justice. From the ease to get to the beach to the various amenities on the property, this house is simply one of a kind. While we were just one couple staying there, the house felt very cozy and warm - yet there is ample room for larger groups. Each floor has its own charm and character, but the views simply couldn't be beat. And with the city center just mere blocks away by foot or by car, there is plenty to do if you want to wander. We'll be back to this location sometime very soon - it's worth the visit!

Visited Rockaway Beach with family and had a great time in this house. It was as advertised, very clean, and well equipped. Being able to walk right out the back door to the beach and enjoy amazing views are priceless. Rockaway Beach is a great little beach town and works very well as a jumping off point to other areas along the coast. We’d stay here again in a second.

The house was 100% great. Having two living areas was nice. Beds were comfortable. We were mostly indoors because we had 8” of snow, but the children loved playing in it. The house had everything that you would need. One recommendation for the owners would be to have a toy chest in the bedroom with bunk beds, or somewhere else with toys and books for younger children. There were games for older kids and plenty of outdoor sand toys, but if the weather is bad some inside toys would be a great addition. I definitely would like to return in warmer weather. The house is in a great location, it’s clean and spacious.

This home was the perfect location for our quaint family getaway, even in November when the weather can me unpredictable. The beach is a short walk through the dunes. When we weren't out on the beach, we enjoyed cooking, doing jigsaw puzzles, and playing games. The kitchen was fully stocked. The beds were comfortable. The house was clean. Highly recommend staying here.

This beach house exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay there again. Only problem (and this is NOT a problem with the house!) is that in September (off season), as is typical of the smaller beach towns, you will have trouble finding places to eat. They are pretty much all closed or on late hours. But, there is a decent market and a convenience store.

If you're on the fence at all, don't be - the property was amazing, easy in-and-out, and can't beat being able to walk out the back door to the beach. It was perfect for our larger family, and the beds were very comfortable, we highly recommend it :)
Also, our families typically pack sheets to be more comfortable, but everything was so nice we didn't even use ours that we packed. The kitchen was very well appointed and we weren't missing anything we needed (which is very uncommon for our stays in other rentals). The owners are very communicative and helpful with anything you may need.

We spent a wonderful week on the coast. The house is ideally situated with easy access to many local towns, state parks and scenic drives. The views are spectacular, the house is very clean and comfortable with easy access onto a beautiful and sparsely populated beach. The upstairs downstairs set-up makes it easy for 4 adults to have their privacy or to let kids have their own space. Dave and Jan were easy to communicate with and questions were answered in a timely manner. Don't miss out on this one! We will definitely be back

This home has a beautiful location, especially if you love the beach. Just a few steps away from the back portch you have a awesome beach to hang out and let the kids play. Sleeping with the windows open while you can hear the waves was so relaxing! I would definitely come back and stay.

Fun family weekend
Great summer weekend trip with cousins! House was perfect for 2 families. Beach access was amazing. We appreciated having beach toys and gear. The local grocery store has amazing customer service, and great advice on the best local food. We will definitely come again.

We did a quick girls trip here and the place was great. It was a surprise birthday gathering, so a big bonus was the house had a lot of little things we forgot (scissors for example!)
Lots of bowls, platters, etc so a great house for a big group. The weather kept us inside most of the time, but there is ample room to spread out and enjoy the house - the beach views made up for being stuck inside. Appreciated the quick and helpful nature of the hosts. Would definitely book again so we can get full use of the stellar beach access and volleyball court.
