Exceptional

We arrived late due to our flight being delayed but the host answered her phone she was very understanding as we arrived very late. She made us feel very welcome. The room was comfortable and not to mention very clean our room was cleaned daily. Fresh towels were provided daily. I especially loved the fact that electricity was there daily with back up of generator. Our host always engaged in conversation with us asking how we were getting along. The cleaning lady always had a smile on her face everytime we saw her. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone in Bulawayo it’s definitely worth every penny.

Cosy place.

Waking up in the middle of the night and thete is no power. Maybe they need adequate backup power

Very niche property with beautiful swimmingpool

The owner was a very nice lady, I enjoyed talking to her. She has a power generator which is switched on immediately when the main power supply is down (very common in Zim this days).

It was a bit loud although there were not many guests.

Bij aankomst bleek dat de accommodatie volledig volgeboekt was . De boeking was circa 2 maanden voor de datum geplaatst en bevestigd!! De klant was ook niet gewaarschuwd dat de accommodatie vol zat. We hebben veel kostbare tijd verspild Hals over de kop moest ik andere accommodatie gaan zoeken hetgeen veel extra tijd kostte Super slechte service Het is onbegrijpelijk dat booking.com dergelijke accommodaties op de website heeft

Your booking is never guaranteed at H. Manor

We arrived at Hillside Manor around 4pm to be told we were not booked as the place was full and we were not expected. And yet I had booked via Booking.com We asked for the manager and they got her on the phone as she was out. I spoke to the said manager on the phone - the rooms had been given to people with longer occupancy. She gave a lot of other excuses not worth writing about. She said she would find us another nice place somewhere else. We didn't wait for the lady to return and decided to go and look for accommodation elsewhere before it got dark. We were left puzzled and annoyed as to why we weren't notified before. H.Manor should treat all their customers with respect.

Short and enough

Quiet area, beautiful garden and pool area, friendly host.

Rooms are small, bed very uncomfortable and it’s a small double bed, worse part is that it has old wooden floors which means you can hear everyone moving in the house which makes it a bit hard to sleep with guests or stuff in and out and you’re hearing their footsteps all the time.

A comfy stay in Hillside, Bulawayo

The owner (Mrs. Mwamuka) is hands-on and attends to every detail of her client needs. Breakfast is customized and served fresh the time you need it. The place and its environment are quiet, charmy and secure. There is also a clean pool for that relaxed swim!

Best place in Bulawayo

The host Mabel was like a mother I never had . Very good interaction and just like my wife a great cook , would highly recommend this place . The grounds and house is spotless and would gladly come again and again . Guys if you are going to Bulawayo stay here

A little far from town but the taxis are cheap and only 2 minutes wall away

Very good

They were doing works on the property, and the builder/painter was at our window without warning. Basically, he could see right into our bedroom, and I was partially dressed, which made me uncomfortable. We should have had some warning about the works.

Great stay at Hillside Manor

Great seamless check in process on arrival. Host is very attentive and responsive in ensuring ones stay is as pleasant as possible.

No gate remote issued to guests as done by other establishments. On exit and return one has to call host or hoot to open main gate for access. As a result when one is out , have to keep in mind not to return too late to wake up the host, even though i doubt she would complain.
