Great value, comfortable independent hotel

Excellent value hotel - clean room, private and very comfortable. Went above and beyond to facilitate my late arrival, which was much appreciated. Great night's sleep. Would definitely book again. The world needs more traditional, independent hotels like this, rather than faceless chain brands.

Maybe the TV could have been updated or moved a little, and a little more privacy - the room had no blinds and looked out onto a car park and a road. But these are minor things!

A lovely all round experience

Incredible staff, willing to help with anything and really helped us out with our friend needing a last minute room. Didn’t rip us off and was super nice the entire time

Slightly loud but it is on a main road in a city so that’s to be expected

Cheap in a good location but do not expect a comfortable stay

The hotel is in a convenient location on the North side of the City in a nice area.

The room was tiny, in a smelly basement with very poor wayfinding signage in the event of an emergency. All in all disappointing and nothing like the photos on Booking.com

اعجبني انه لايوجد ازعاج وامام الفندق يوجد ميني ماركت جيد ومحطة وقود.

لم يعجبني أن الغرفة صغيرة جدا لقد اعطاني غرفة تحت الارض تقريبا وحمام صغير جدا والاثاث قديم. عند الخروج الباكر لايوجد موظف كل ماعليك ان تضع مفتاح الغرفة وتغادر الفندق فإذا اقفلت باب الفندق لن يمكنك العودة!! ماذا لو نسيت حقيبتك او شيء معين؟ لن يمكنك اخذه حتى يعود الموظف!

Ok rooms staff lacking in service

Room was nice and clean

Staff member was a bit moody and argumentative with us as we checked in. I was given the key to the wrong room luckily it was the room for one of our group that mentioned it so we were able to sort this out One of our group had no toilet roll in the room and was told sorry I have no more. We ended up buying some from the 24hr garage over the road.

Friendly comfortable and convenient hotel great value

Comfortable, clean.Friendly , helpful staff. Walking distance to shops, restaurants etc.Ample parking.

For an older couple the stairs to top floor were challenging, although we were offered help with our luggage.

Location was good, Comfortable bed

No iron available in the whole hotel, Shower pressure was poor and no hooks in the bathroom for towels, Manager was knocking on doors at 10.45 to get people out for check out at 11

Overall the hotel was value for money for a short two night stay.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was nicely decorated, comfortable bed and new sheets.

A bit more attention to detail when dusting surfaces e.g. layer of dust on the table where the TV, kettle, tea and coffee making tray sits. Doesn't take long to remove everything off the surface, dust and put it back. Room was cold on arrival. My husband had to go to reception to ask for the heating to be put on, only to be told it comes on at 4pm and goes off at midnight. Disappointed they did not provide irons in the rooms. When I asked at reception was informed they do not have any in the hotel.

It was in a great location close to the student area, the owner greeted us in a very friendly manner and was asking about our stay which made use feel valued. The room was great, clean, good size, the beds were really comfortable too! Oh and not to mention it was excellent value for money. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Nothing, we have no complaints.

Very good

The Staff and Manager very friendly and helpful. Also not intrusive, the attitude is very relaxed at Ascot Grange. It's a basic set up, but comfortable and clean. Convenient for Leeds, while being a culturally distinct district. Ottley has a weekly, afternoon fancy dress pub crawl, which enhances the surreality of Headingly. Always pleasant to be surrounded by people dressed as chickens, pirates and golfers at three o'clock in the afternoon.

The kettle in my room needs replacing.

Have stayed here a few times, staff are always friendly, the rooms are clean. Always a pleasent stay.
