Perfekte Lage und wunderschöner Frühstücksraum mit Sicht auf den Fluss. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig, sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich. Besonders genossen haben wir die familiäre Atmosphäre und die wohltuende Freundlichkeit der Angestellten. Wir haben uns willkommen und sehr wohl gefühlt. Danke!

Good location, near river, big park. To city center is around 15 mins by walk. The house was private before, but rebuild to guest house, which means, you'll leave like in house and feel this spirit. Kettle in the room.
Bathroom is tiny. Breakfast is preparing by administrator for each guest, only few things a self service. This means your breakfast could take a some time, bear in mind. We waited around 15 mins after ordering. Coffee machine didn't work, and we had to drink not so good instant coffee. In general, our stay didn't match with price around 185 euros per night.

The bed was quite comfortable, the price was comparatively cheap, parking was available a few doors down in a vacant lot. The garden terrace outside the common area was beside a river and was quite picturesque, not really from the room though. Walking distance to city center, eateries and sightseeing options, also nice walking around the river area.
I had a single room. It was up a few flights of stairs, I had to take my large suitcase up there. As you can see from the pics it was a very small room. The bathroom was accessed via a skinny door which I first mistook for a cupboard. There was little room in the bathroom, and no-where except the floor for your toiletry bag. The shelf in the shower was loose and hanging off the wall so you needed to put all your stuff on the floor. There was a kettle, but the cord didn't reach to the power point (yes I tried turning the base around so the cord was on the end of shelf, but it still didn't reach) so I had to put it on the floor. The TV reception was constantly buffering so trying to watch TV was pointless. They seemed like they catered quite well to people wanting a hot breakfast, but there was no real Continental option to speak of besides about 20 packets of Bran Flakes. I went out for breakfast to Cafe Velo I think it was, they had a good number of options. There were no sheers on the windows, and there were a number of houses opposite, so you need to shut the heavier curtains for privacy. Even though I paid for 2 nights accommodation I packed up and left after I got back from eating out for breakfast. If you are after a reasonably priced room with a hot breakfast, are not a large person, and don't mind small spaces or ambient noise (bring earplugs if you are not a sound sleeper), this place could be for you. The Franciscan Well Brewery serves good pizza and beer in a nice beer garden, and was within walking distance.

Very central location. I was happy to safely park my car and walk around the city for most outings.
There was secure additional parking very close by.
The room was clean and there was room service each morning.
There was no microwave in the room but there was a living room with a clean fridge, clean water dispenser and clean microwave for general use
There was no iron for clothes and no fridge in each room. Bathroom was small.

Free secure parking was what made me pick the Shandon Bells. Room was clean, warm, and quiet, overlooking the river. Shower with a good flow in ensuite. Friendly, helpful staff. Keypad entry to building.
I was happy enough with the cost, but it was about 10% more than I expected. Of course, that could just be inflation, which is a bit rampant in 2024.

Anreisebeschreibung fehlerhaft. Parkplatz vorhanden aber nur im Nebenhof. Zimmer sehr laut und Bad sehr klein.
Kein TV Empfang im Zimmer.(nur Netflix möglich).

Location was okay and the fact that we had a car and parking was available was a bonus. The area out the back is great to be able to sit and enjoy a drink and food.

Location, lovely and clean. Staff great and sitting outside by river really nice. . We arrived early and the staff gave us our rooms as we arrived which was fab.

Il bagno moderno ma nella nostra stanza c'era una vasca (poco funzionale per un viaggio in cui si preferisce la doccia).
C'era tutto l'occorrente per caffè e tè caldo.
Asciugamani e lenzuola puliti.
La struttura è datata, anche internamente.
Ci sono pezzi di intonaco staccati dal muro e la moquette non pulitissima.

Comfortable place to stay next to the college campus. Old building so has charm balanced by hauling luggage up stairs and quirky layout. On-site parking is limited so arrive early. Worked well for our needs.

Good location; friendly staff who are trying their best
This is a 'you are on your own once we give you the keys' type of establishment . If you have a issue there is no one to contact . You can go and ring the bell outside what is called reception and will get a message that no one is available ; we came back after dinner and found the soap dispenser in the bathroom did not dispense anything but could get no help . Had to use the shampoo to wash our hands which is no big deal in itself but this place was not cheap

Aufmerksames Personal beim Frühstück. Hat mich darauf hingewiesen, dass Porridge nicht mit veganer Milch angerichtet ist.
Zimmer wurde auf Booking mit "Blick auf Fluss" angepriesen. Tatsächlich war das Zimmer im Erdgeschoss und das Fenster ging auf einen Innenhof, wo alle Leute zum Frühstück vorbei gehen mussten. Die Zimmertür war gegenüber dem Eingang, dh wir haben jedes Ein- und Ausgehen anderer Gäste extrem laut mitbekommen.

We asked to leave our vehicle in their parking lot prior to check-in so that we could walk and explore. The staff were very compliant.
The room was a bit small, but our window did have a nice view of the River.

Äusserst nettes und freundliches Personal. Die Zimmer sind sauber, geräumig und nett eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist landesüblich und gut. Die Lage ist gut und die Stadt ist zu Fuß bequem zu erreichen.

Location was great, very central and we could walk to the centre easily. Room and bathroom was spacious. We had seat by the river for breakfast and it was a lovely sunny day. Staff were friendly.
Shower was hard to figure our as two taps both controlling pressure and temperature and hard to get it right. Breakfast service was a little slow, we asked for tea about 4 times before we got it, as not many staff for the amount of guests. There was also no alternative/plant milk which is unusual in this day and age.

We were a bit surprised by how small the room was, but the breakfast room was lovely. The high rating is really for the staff. They were warm and friendly and made everything really lovely, and the coffee and breakfast were done to perfection.
