Wunderschönes, familiäres Gästehaus

Wunderschöne Lage, die Küche ist super ausgestattet und die Gastgeberin wirklich unheimlich lieb und besorgt. Wir haben uns hier direkt komplett Willkommen und Zuhause gefühlt. Es gibt zwei Badezimmer und sogar eine Waschmaschine. Alles war super sauber und gepflegt.

Leider waren die Duschen doch schon etwas älter und eine davon quasi nicht nutzbar.

Posizione immersa nella natura e senza fonti luminose perfetta per poter avvistare l’ aurora. Wi fi potente. Cordialità degli host. Carina l’idea dei nomi sulle porte.

Prese lontane dai letti. Lo spazio comune dove cucinare piccolo, è stato un po’ scomodo soprattutto al mattino quando c’era la preparazione per la colazione di altri ospiti. In camera mancavano spazi dove poter appoggiare i propri effetti o appenderli.

Good

That was a cheapest place in that part of Iceland, was not sure what to expect. The staff friendly, the beds after long trips were very comfy. It has shared bathrooms and kitchen. In Iceland are not many places to stay outside camps so I would say its a good choice!

Amazing place!!!

Excellent place to stay. Our favourite after ten or so nights in other places as we travelled the entire country. Fab location. It felt very homely and our host was very lovely. Breakfast was a bonus and wonderful quality. Quiet and night with comfy beds. Defo book this if you can!!!

Friendly Owner, comfort was great, everything worked and the kitchen was awesome. Thanks so much.

The hot water system needs a bit of work. When two showers are going at the same time they were fighting for pressure and hot water.

A must stay in Iceland.

The location was fantastic and the hosts were incredibly friendly. Breakfast was exceptional. The hosts also sell wool clothing and produce from their farm which we thought was a really nice touch.

We loved everything.

We liked everything. The design of the guesthouse is unique! it's a miracle in the middle of nowhere! Big kitchen, two restrooms, nice view!

Lovely

Such a peaceful location with no one around. I arrived in the late afternoon and it was snowing. Totally away from the crowd and the busy concrete jungle, love it!

Be very careful while driving uphill on snow (to the accommodation)… basically if you have an SUV it should not be an issue but I had a small car which got stuck in the snow and blocked the main entrance of the property.

Great place

We ended up here due to road closure and this place was one of the highlights of our stay in Iceland. The hosts are amazing and our dinners were great. They helped us to get our car out of the snow which we really appreciated.

Incredible

It was amazing ! You are far from everything and find peace and quiet. Elisa is an amazing host :) always keen to help. The guesthouse has 5 rooms and we got to meet the other guests and have a meal all together. Have the dinner cooked by Elisa and her husband it is delicious and very affordable. The kitchen has everything you need if you choose otherwise. Beds were comfy, everything was clean. You really feel at home.

They tricked us completely. We were stuck in a heavy blizzard and asked if they would refund us. They answer “Yes” without any hesitation. However, after four weeks, they still ignore all the letters from me and booking.com. I haven't gotten my refund of course

Although they sound nice, it is alligator tears.

Perfect stay for a night

Comfortable clean guesthouse. Kitchen is very well equipped. Two bathrooms are also useful and there was a washing machine that could be used.

Superb

The bathroom(s) were great with a huge bathtub. The host was extremely helpful and happy to let us stay longer and provide help when we got stuck due to closed roads. There was a small wool clothing shop as well, hand knitted by the host, with very reasonable prices.

The cheapest room is pretty small. The other rooms are much more spacious.

Felt like home!

Beautiful and cozy guesthouse in a rural area, felt like I came home after a long day and subpar accommodation the night before (not at the guesthouse). The host was very friendly and hospitable. Fully equipped kitchen with basic spices and cookware. Two shared bathrooms for four rooms. Easy self check in system (you have your name written on the door and the keys in the room).

Unusual, but the water at the shower was pretty hot (not scalding, but it couldn't be twisted below 35 deg.). Usually it is the other way around at accommodations :D

Affordable place on top of the mountain

Location perfect for stargazing and the price is really affordable. We had everything we need in the kitchen.

Bed frame was too wobbly, was afraid it was going to break but fortunately didn‘t. Shower curtain needs to be replaced.

Peaceful retreat on a small farm in a gorgeous part of east Iceland.

You couldn't ask for a better host, welcoming, friendly and very helpful, even in testing circumstances (extreme Icelandic weather and guests not being able to move on when they need to).

The space felt small when some inconsiderate parents turned up and let their child run riot, but that's no foult of the property. Once it was just adults, the space felt peaceful again.
