Beautiful, well run hotel in the heart of everything.

Fantastic hotel, outstanding service - nothing too much trouble. Dog welcome and no issues. Excellent high quality breakfast.

Sunbeds a little grubby especially near hot tub area. The ‘indoor pool’ is a hot tub.

Bel hôtel néanmoins en retrait sur certains points

Hôtel très bien situé avec une belle vue sur le Douro et une signature « Arty » très sympa.

Qualité de l’entretien de l’hôtel : chambre globalement très « marquée » en termes d’état (située à priori dans une partie plus ancienne)

Flawless hotel and stay

We loved the hotel and everything about it. Faultless. The breakfast was delicious every morning and the helpfulness of the staff throughout our stay made our stay ever better. We felt so welcome in the hotel and so at home. We are frequent travellers and the hotel was just perfect for our special family holiday. Thank you so much everyone at the The Torel.

Maybe the addition of a larger illuminated light would have been great, but we could not fault the hotel at all!

A very nice hotel but I wonder if I could have got a similar standard hotel at a lesser price

Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly.

Communal/ fitness spaces are slightly cramped being a small boutique hotel but this was expected. A few bits were slightly worn, for example the plastic fabric on some of the dining chairs were torn but the bedroom was a good standard. The view was fabulous. The location was good but I would have preferred a few minutes closer to the town. That said I’m old. My son and his girlfriend loved the place.

Stylish, clean hotel, with excellent service !

Beautiful and elegant property. We liked the room, which was clean, spacious and well equipped. The hotel overall offers well curated spaces, in a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The staff at the hotel made our stay enjoyable, everyone was kind, attentive, always helpful.

No direct access to the spa / indoor swimming pool from the main building

Ótimo hotel

O staff é excecional e as instalações muito, mas muito boas; cama super confortável e o quarto muito aconchegante e acolhedor. E o pequeno almoço é ótimo, com produtos de qualidade.

A estadia foi de apenas uma noite, não houve nada de que não gostasse.

Existe piscina interior!

Boa localização, a 15 minutos a pé dos Clérigos. Staff muito simpático e atencioso. Pequeno-almoço com variedade de produtos de qualidade. Vista magnífica para o Rio Douro. Instalações muito bem cuidadas e decoração original.

No Booking, não há a informação de que existe uma piscina interior para além da exterior, ótima para dias de chuva.

Would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Porto.

Excellent boutique hotel, staff very attentive, excellent food and comfortable room.

It’s quite a climb from the river front for those why struggle for fitness.

Absolute bliss

Where to start? The hotel is wonderfully located to all the major sites & with a magical view of the river, the facilities are extremely comfortable & the food is delicious. The staff are so friendly & take great care of you (shout out the bar man who introduced me to Green wine). Staying here was like a lovely dream & added to the joy of visiting Porto. If you can afford to stay here- please do, you won’t regret it!

breakfast good , view superb and staff is friendly . I broke a lamp on the nighttable ( by accident ) , it's was not charged

Needs general inspection ( scale didn't work , water on the outside chairs , dust under the lamps on the nighttables, view to televison blocke by woudenbeam from four-poster bed , not enough closet space , nothing to put toilet gear , no light in intrance , not possible to have milk cupsfor the coffee in the room , products in shower low quality , the 'porch' around the ' outside' tub ) . Dinner in restaurant was (just )ok . In general for not 5 but 4 star hotel

Stunning views. Great facilities. Breakfast on the balcony overlooking Porto is the best way to start the day.

The only room for improvement would be that the bedside lamp was too far away from the bed so you couldn't use it to read.

Breakfast was lovely. We couldn’t sit on the patio but we were comfortable in the main room. Service was excellent. Location and view were amazing. Bed was comfortable and room ac was spectacular.

Staff, breakfast and facilities were all very good. Hotel's location made it very easy to walk "down" to Historic Porto . While it is a direct & short walk to part of the Old Town - which was lovey and full of nice places and things.

Nice Hotel, Great Location, Small Room, Average Staff

Nice Hotel, Great Location. Very nice Breakfast Buffet

Our room was very small for two people, not enough space to hang towels and clothes, tiny bathroom without any surface space. Toilet door was a clanky glass sliding door. No sound isolation and impossible to use quietly during the night. Slightly negative experience with the restaurant staff when we wanted to have a bite to eat at 3 pm. At first the waiter got upset thst we sat down without asking him and then we were treated quite rudely for our meal. Generally the restaurant staff was not always at the level of attention that I would expect at a 5 Star Hotel
