Great location, lovely sea view and view of the pier. Large room.
No temperature control in the room, very warm, only 1 sash window opened very slightly. This window was also smashed, not very safe or nice to look at.
Breakfast was adequate but freshly brewed coffee/tea would have been better than instant make your own.

The location was amazing so close to the seafront
This property is in need of refurbishing. The decor is very outdated and tired . The room that we stayed in was unclean , windows that would either not open or cracked . The curtains were torn and the en-suite was very basic . The shower did work however the water temperature was not consistent changing from hot to cold which made showering an interesting experience.

There is no cctv cameras anywhere in the hotel, and if there are at least I haven’t seen them and that is not safety at all. The room cleaning wasn’t good, the bathroom had a very strong smell coming from the shower drain, the toilet had a brown stain inside apparently the cleaner didn’t use the toilet brush to remove it, there were water marks everywhere on the toilet seat, the pillows were full of yellow stains inside even if they covered with the pillows cover, I guess they don’t wash them for the new guests.

I liked the seafront location of the hotel
The kettle in my room had rusted, I asked for replacement and they never changed nor cleaned my kettle. My toilet paper finished they never gave me more. They never cleaned my room the entire week of my stay at majestic hotel. The bed was small.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely (good quality bacon and sausages) and the waiting staff were friendly and attentive. Nothing was allowed to run out!

It was a very hot day on Saturday only one small window about 8ins that we would open the rest of the window was painted down and can’t be open.
we had Ant power all around the carpet edges plus the ant was crawling over the dresser my husband suffers with asthma and the dust didn’t help he’s breathing.

The location of the hotel was great. It was walking distance to the tennis (Devonshire Park), though it was exhausting on such a hot day! But right opposite the beach for a quick cooling dip at the end of the day.
The breakfast was fine, though a bit of a palaver to get some toast.
The room was hot, with only one opening window. Outside of that window there was a ledge covered in cigarette butts, earbuds and an old drink bottle. It would be easily reached and take less than a minute with a dustpan and brush to clean it up. Though we asked twice, it was not done.
There was only one bath towel provided for 2 guests; no hand towels or bath mat. This was not addressed when we asked three times at the front desk. There were no glasses for water, no teaspoon for making tea, no bin and finally no toilet paper. We had to go down to the front desk again to ask for that.
The bedding was stained, very yellowed and thin polycotton.
We left the key at the front desk to make clear we were not in for the whole day, and on our return later that afternoon, the room had not been entered or tidied, no additional towels and rubbish still out on the window ledge. We couldn't make a cup of tea as the only 2 teabags had been used the evening before.
The pictures of the rooms shown on booking.com bear NO resemblance to the room we had.

The room was quiet and was quite spacious - twin bedded room for single occupancy. The hotel is on the sea front and is within reasonable reach of the main attractions. The hotel met basic requirements.
Like a number of large hotels in Eastbourne, it could do with some investment to generally improve the facilities for guests.

Bed was comfortable.
Hot spell and windows could not open. Had to leave door open as much as possible to get fresh air in. Breakfast limited. Small cups. No decaf coffee so my wife could not have hot drink. Sausages were overly bland. Plates for hot food were cold. Limited to three Half slices of thin toast. Hot water for drinks was in a home size kettle-jug so had to wait for it to be replenished. The Room tv did not work so had to go to bar to watch Euro’s football and wall tv in there too small. Contacted hotel weeks in advance via booking.com link which apparently they did not receive, asking for a ground floor room or near a lift as my wife had mobility problems. Was allocated a room on 2nd floor furthest from the lift. My wife has very obvious mobility problems and still given this room on arrival. Even if they hadn’t received my message they should have realised she would struggle.

This is a very tired hotel, being improved by the current team. Sadly, this team needs to apply a little sense when they are working. Tips: don't leave paint on the mirror in the room; don't spill paint on the carpets in the hallways; remove old nails/screws from the walls first; don't put a wardrobe in front of the only working electrical socket in the room; etc

The view from the room was superb.
The room was not cleaned at all during my 7-day stay except for once when I requested it. The bins were never emptied. The inside window panes were grimy and filthy and looked as if they had not been cleaned for years. I tried to clean them myself with a sponge I bought for the purpose. The bathroom door would not close. Tea bags and milk were not replenished. The receptionist did not seem to care at all and did not seem to feel staff were under any compunction to clean the rooms. She simply said, 'We have no time'. The manner of staff was rather off-hand and not very courteous.

Room looked nothing like the pictures, whoever did that editing deserves a better job. Tv on the wall didn’t work, found an old covid (used) mask tucked away in the draw, the place is just completely and utterly run down, needs a good old refurb the carpets are older then the battle of Hastings.

The hotel is being refurbished, there are loose and tatty carpets which are covered in paint, paint spilled in the lift and my room smelled of paint stripper. The windows were dirty. No glass for water in the room. Inexperienced bar staff and prosecco served at room temperature.

Given a room at the ver top which smelt mouldy with paint and dirt in the carpet. Moved to another room which had ants crawling all over the table top, kettle and cups with saucer. The fire alarm went off 7 in the afternoon and 7 in the morning with no explanation or direction . There were 2 male members of staff who pushed open the room door unannounced while we were half clothed with no apologies until I went to complain at reception as I was totally shocked at the invasion of privacy. I would not recommend!!
