Location was great.

The front desk employee ignored us at check in. We were the only people checking in and after standing several minutes without any acknowledgement. The manager, who was visiting with guests in the lobby had to come over and welcome us and ask the employee to check us in. She did without any smile, acknowledgement or conversation. We stayed 4 nights... second day I had to go to front desk for towels. Third day I called to ask for more towels... toilet paper... empty wastebaskets... get shampoo, conditioner and lotion. I was told I could bring the dirty towels to the front desk and they'd give me more. Your room flyer reads... "If you would like services more frequently, please contact the front desk. " FALSE. I was upset with the front desk employee's (same woman) response to my frustration. She said there was no need for me to be angry, all the others guests were fine with coming to the front desk for their room supplies. I asked to speak to a manager and was told he wasn't there, but that the eyes in the sky were seeing everything. I can only assume she was speaking about security cameras. I told he I didn't need her attitude and she literally shouted to the room full of incoming guests... who has more attitude, me or this guy? Upon checkout, ( same female employee) didn't smile... speak... stared as my wife has she returned our room keys. I'm sure it is way too much to expect a friendly... thanks... did you enjoy your stay...etc. This was the Comfort Inn on Jordan Creek Pkwy, in West Des Moines Iowa. We have stayed at other Comfort Inns and had wonderful service. We were in town for a wedding (4 nights)... family and friends could not believe our hotel experience. Evidently, you're now a self service hotel. Very disjointed with your lack of any customer service. You put one miserable employee at the front desk representing the face of your organization and negatively impacting guests experience.

I needed a room close to eye surgeon within close proximity for post-op & follow-up appt the next day. The staff immediately acknowledged my request for early check-in & adjusted my reservation. They let me pay ahead due to no vision following surgery. They helped me to my room, provided bottled water, and offered to prepare breakfast & bring it to my room. The entire saff was so accommodating, friendly, and appr3ciative for my business.

TV didn’t work in our room and had to change rooms. Then that TV didn’t work initially but after resetting it worked.

There was a large group of very boisterous adults and children that literally took over all the public spaces, the lobby, food area and pool.
