Great Unit.

Great unit, with comfortable beds. Very clean and well looked after. The owners were very friendly and helpful - (They helped us out when we needed to borrow a bucket to soak some soiled clothing). Would not hesitate to return to this property and would certainly recommend it.

A very comfortable and convenient place to stay in Strahan, family friendly, good value for money.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, the kitchen was conveniently supplied with crockery and utensils. Everything worked. There was plenty of space. There were thoughtful touches such as an airing rack (Strahan is a damp place!) and even a basket of Easter eggs!

An extra recycling bin is needed in the disposal area of the property.

Spacious and comfortable stay.

Location was good, very quiet. Very spacious villa. Well appointed. Very comfortable. We were very warmly greeted by the friendly host Sharon. I would have no hesitation in recommending this Castaway Holiday Apartments.

Such delightful accommodation- it had such a homely feel - owners were so friendly - decor and cleanliness- perfect - most enjoyable stay

It was a wonderful stay and the new owners were most accommodating.

Clean and comfortable and close to all amenities.

The shower had a high step in that didn’t work for us and the accessible unit was booked.

A most pleasant stay that set our holiday off on a very good footing.

A very well appointed unit that was clean, fresh, and seemed recently renovated. The location was an easy walk away from all the facilities we required in Strahan. In particular, the supermarket was around the corner.

Would definitely stay here again.

Loved the comfort, cleanliness and position of our apartment. We overlooked a large green space. A separate laundry area which was much needed and easy to use. Shops were around the corner which were in walking distance and convenient to buy all our shopping supplies. Well stocked shop. Also in walking distance to Gordon River Cruisers and the play “The Ship that never was”.

If I had to find a negative I would suggest the bathroom could do with updating but I definitely do not hold this against the property.

Dishes and hygiene

Well presented

I think it's very unsanitary that each guest washes the dishes for the next 1 cutlery was not clean. This was not the only place with this policy. In my opinion this practice needs to be stopped before someone gets sick, especially with the highly transmittal viruses of today's world.
