Location & our room itself was clean

The worst hotel we have stayed in Vietnam. I know it is a budget hotel so know what to expect but was really disappointed in everything about his hotel. I stayed here 3 years ago & for budget hotel it was fine but this time nothing was to expectations. Checked in on 19th March around 1.30pm, the first statement from young man at desk was ‘show booking’ . He did not say hello or how are you, nothing. Then he said ‘room ready 2.00pm. We left bags, went out &came back after 2.00pm. The front lobby is very dirty, the lounge to sit on in lobby is filthy dirty, 4 motorbikes parked near staircase of lobby. First time we have never had water in our room, our bath at was a ‘face washer’ A lot of good a face washer will do!! The safe was locked already so we had to have him come up & open it. The picture on the TV is terrible, fuzzy. The key & tags are really big so left key at reception, the man on desk leaves guests keys on top of counter for anyone to take. Their reception dentrance is so close to the street anyone could come in & take a key to a room or another guest could take my key. This is so bad. I asked him if it was safe there & he said yes he is always there. Well he is not always there, when we left one morning there was no one in reception 7 peoples keys were on counter. When we came back at 3.30pm the next day the room had not been touched, somI asked him downstairs if they clean room. He said if I want it cleaned he can do it later when I go out. I just got new towels instead. Badly run, non caring staff, I would not recommend & I would never go back.

Loved it

Perfect for what I wanted for 2 nights at a no frills price. Easy checkin, comfy bed and hot shower. I liked the little balcony looking onto the quiet laneway. Also bars on the window so I could keep it open all night and feel safe. Note there is no lift. All in all I loved it and would definitely stay again.

Wind chimes on balcony opposite which ding donged all night - I like to keep the window open so easily solved by keeping the window closed. Other than that everything was peaceful and quiet.

The room was comfortable and centrally located. We could easily get to a number of attractions from the hotel. The staff were very friendly and even waited up for our very late flight to arrive.

It was a very simple hotel that can be expected in the price range.

MISLEADING AND FALSE ADVERTISING

The bed, AC, and the door locked. The bare minimum were met. The staff were quite friendly of course. The stairwell was dark amber lit and felt haunted. Location was ONLY OKAY. Located in the middle of a dirty alleyway infested with rats and cockroaches, but yes, it is conveniently located near the party street (about a 5 mintue walk). The "balcony" they give you, faces another building and a dirty alley.

Dead Cockroaches in the original room before requesting another room. Molding and peeling walls, the bathroom was really deteriorating and felt gross. The staff didn't clean or remake room nor did they ever ask. The pictures and reviews are ALL LIES, ALMOST FALSE ADVERTISING, AND CAP. Very misleading, could spend a little bit more money for a more sanitary place to stay.

exactly what we needed for a stopover in Saigon city centre. great to be just around the corner from all hot spots!

good value for money, staff were very friendly and helpful, we were only staying for one night so didn’t get full use of the tours they had on offer.

no lift, but staff were very nice and helped with bags. might need a lick of paint, but room and bed was very clean.

Very good

Airco works ok, price ok. Gate to the street of hotel is closed at night. Took me some time to find the entrance on the other side with all the small alleys.

Across the hotel is a temple on top floor. It has something on the balcony that makes noise when wind blows. Fun for 1 hour but it makes noise 24/7 and we booked 3nights. Ouch.

Cleaning - not good when I checked in Aircon - impossible to change settings No hot water in the morning - they run solar powered system. In the morning there was no hot water for the 4 days I stayed

Inexpensive lodging in a prime location.

The place is reasonably clean. The front desk staff was friendly.

Note that there’s no elevator so if you have a lot of luggage, carrying it up the stairs might be an issue.

The staff was super friendly! What I loved the most was at check out when the lovely gentleman behind the counter went out of his way and took the time to make sure I got in the taxi right! And helped me to cross the street and helped me with my luggage. That's what I call a 5 star customer service.

For the price and location it was a fine stay. I am just suggesting things to improve.

It was a fine stay. I am just by myself and not fuzzy. But I see room for improvement.

1st night the bedsheets, pillowcase, and blanket were itchy. I assume it was dirty I was really uncomfortable and was not able to sleep well. 2nd day I requested to change all and it was perfect so it confirms that 1st day was not changed properly because after they changed it, I was not itchy anymore and was able to sleep well. I hope they should just be vigilant to check the sheets are clean so I do not have to ask for fresh ones. I hope they can fix the toilet smell. Unpleasant smell coming from the toilet and I had to crank up the airconditioning to rid of it. But the moment you turn it off or go inside the toilet, though it was clean the smell was unpleasant. It was coming out from the shower water drain.
