Very nice and comfortable.

Decor was really good, amazing vibes, comfortable stay. Friendly staff and quick and efficient check in.

Over the past 6 years I have stay here a lot and I’m always made to feel welcome

Breakfast was really nice and cooked to order rather than cooked and left under a heat lamp so it drys out also the ingredients are of a great standard

Plenty of tea and coffee, decent shower, comfy bed,didn't have breakfast so can't comment

Room was adequate for 1 night, decor very tired

Have paid less for a slightly better quality hotel

Room was okay.Didn`t bother with breakfast.Bed was okay

Wallpaper was a bit grotty.Door knob was hanging off

The décor and layout of the room we stayed in was fantastic

As it was in December and it is an old building, our room was freezing. The heat was on, but the radiator was barely warm to the touch.

Superb

Car park on site. Helpful staff. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the traditional pub downstairs. It had a fire and bar food including fresh baked pizzas. Delicious!

Really welcoming place to stay. Staff were really good!

characterful property! lots of historic architectural features. Food in the pub was exceptional, the pizza was exquisite! Staff extremely helpful, and friendly, what ever you are paying them, they deserve more! A ten minute walk to the heart of Derby so a really good location. Amazing value for money. We had the privilege to stumble in on their famous quiz nights and had a right laugh in the process.

Due to the period sash windows the road noise was quite loud, and people leaving the pub were even louder. We had people drinking and chatting outside our window till around 1.am. There was no soap in the bathroom but I’m sure if we’d asked the staff they would have bent over backwards to help us, but we had our own! And if we were being picky, and I mean really picky, some plumper pillows would be good!

Great location and cheap

3 rooms were booked, the one in the ‘cottage’ was super lovely and modern, the shower water pressure was amazing. My friends stayed in the other 2 rooms in the main hotel which were more outdated we match the photos in the advert so we were happy. rooms had fans too which was perfect because it was extremely warm. The location was perfect as me and my friends were doing a derby pub crawl and it was great starting point. Even though it’s connected to a pub it was really quiet. Staff were friendly when we checked in. Food and drinks were available to buy in the pub downstairs and cheap prices too, garden area was lovely.

The room in the cottage was not ready when we arrived, had to wait over an hour. Luckily we had 2 rooms booked in the main hotel area so we could store bags there. When we arrived we were unsure how to check in, as you have to walk through the pub, staff were not clear with where to go. We were given a key to the big front door to let ourselves in when we got in at early hours which was fine, the only bit that was a bit weird was me and my friend having to walk through the museum bit in the dark to get through to the cottage room but it wasn’t too bad as we had each other ahah
