Stoneyfield South

House was very well equipped, everything you could need. Two bathrooms. Location was spot on. Owner was lovely and communicated with us very well. Our stay was perfect.

There was nothing to dislike.

Great location and dog friendly

Location was great. 3 double rooms very comfortable . Good size garden for dog and plenty of nearby walks to enjoy.

Fabulous stay. Fantastic view out of the kitchen window looking at the sheep!

Friendly drive by host, comfortable and clean. a fabulous stay for two couples as we both had separate sleeping areas and shared common area in between. great array of cooking condiments and generally well supplied kitchen and laundry as well as games and videos in the cupboard. a great place to base a group or family when exploring the Isle of Lewis.

We enjoyed the quiet location and thanks to our host for making the stay so easy.

Our host provided a very generous stock of food in the fridge for cooked breakfasts and the cottage was extremely well equipped.

Very minor: But clothes hooks in bathrooms would have been nice. And if there was a hair dryer, we couldn't find one! Lastly, we found remembering to boost the hot water programme a little annoying.

Homely rural setting near Stornoway

This is a very well-provisioned modern & spotlessly clean home that is just outside Stornoway in a pleasant rural setting with views to the sea. Everything is provided, including a washing machine & tumble dryer. There is sufficient parking for two cars, if needed. To the back is a small, enclosed garden with seating.

An enjoyable week in a comfortable cottage.

The cottage was easy to find, in a lovely location with a sea view. It was well equipped and comfortable. Our dog loved the secure garden!

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our short break in this cottage and we were sorry to leave.

Location was superb, overlooking the approach to the harbour and only a short car journey from the town centre. It was quiet and peaceful with views across the fields to the water. The property was well stocked and the items left in the fridge for us were a pleasant surprise. There were plenty of plates, cutlery, etc. for our use.

A few ceiling lights in the kitchen were not working. On two occasions boiling the kettle caused the power to partially go off but it may have been a dodgy socket as it did not happen again when we plugged the kettle into another socket. We alerted the owner who said she would contact an electrician to check this out.

Excellent accommodation. Super comfy beds, so warm and cosy. The two bathrooms was so handy .

Even though self catering, host left a lovely large breakfast pack on arrival.

Fantastic comfy stay with owner going above and beyond expectations

Absolutely fantastic breakfast pack left for us. The house was very warm and the shower was fab too. My father in law left his hat there and Ancris has very kindly returned it to us.

The microwave was strangely difficult to work

Lovely Cottage!

Beautiful view over to Stornoway from the cottage. Very clean and comfortable with all the facilities you need (glad of dishwasher!!!). Within easy reach of the town. A very good base to explore the island from. We were a party of four but the cottage would easily sleep six. Would definitely go here again.

Lovely, relaxing week in beautiful surroundings

Location excellent. In open countryside but close to Stornoway and lovely views of the sea. Everything we needed, and more, was provided including a first class breakfast pack. Good to come back to and chill after a day's sightseeing. Fantastic weather which was a bonus.

Great stay in these stange times

Good location in that it was not in centre of Stornoway so our dog wasn't stressed by traffic. Very comfortable and clean with all the amenities we needed. We had an enjoyable stay despite the circumstances of these Covid times. Would definitely book a return stay to this cottage, Lewis and Harris are beautiful.
