Lovely guest house close to the beach with an amazing host. Thank you for the amazing stay

Althia was a great host and she made us feel welcome like if we were at home. Coffee and tea in the morning and also great tips about the area. The house is well located and very close to boston beach (10min walk) and not far from others amazing beaches. Restaurants and bar close to the guest house and possibility to store your food in the sharing fridge. Clean and comfy room with all you need. We will definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a stay in Portland but out of the crazy traffic of Porto Antonio. Grazie Althia 😘

Excellent value, best meal in Jamaica

Only 150-200 cost to take route taxi from Port Antonio to this guesthouse. Owners live on property so they manage it well. Rooms are basic but comfortable for the great price. Excellent base to explore area. A portable fan helped keep room cool. Shared bathroom was clean and spacious. The highlight was the Italian owner is a trained chef so he offers a hearty, amazing breakfast and/or dinner for 1500-2000. Seriously his cooking is like fine dining quality so worth the price when you want a break for Jamaica jerk chicken fare. His food was the best I ate in Jamaica!

For the price, there's nothing to complain about. Keep in mind there's no aircon but portable fan.

A Toga guest house nos surpreendeu muito! Fica em uma vila jamaicana muito pequena e bem nativa. O quarto é muito charmoso. Fica perto da lagoa azul e da Frenchman’s cove, que é a praia mais linda em que ja estive na minha vida. O café da manhã é maravilhoso!! vivemos dias incríveis

Behond expectaton!

Wow what a nice place for such a reasonable price! Quiet and great view of the ocean. The food offered by our host (which is actually a chef) was super good. We actually had diner and breakfast there and everything was behond expectation. We will go back without hesitation. Thanks again!

Amazing host and perfect location for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

The owner was very friendly, the room was big with an enormous and confortable bed. Very close to the beach and walkable distance to some restaurant.

Horrible Place

Close to Boston beach

The place is HORRIBLE!!! They need to fix up the place. There are no insect screens. You'll be eaten alive by mosquitos. There are lizards, spiders, bugs and at least 3 different types of ants all over the bedrooms. I had booked 3 nights and upon arrival, I booked another place in Port Antonio for the next day. I didn't even want to stay the night. I was apprehensive in using the bathroom. No toiletries are provided except toilet paper. The window in the bathroom is broken out. That night, I was asked to wait a half hour or so to shower as there was an issue with the pump. Good thing I ended up going to sleep. In the morning, apology was made for the lack of water and told they had to call an electrician to fix the issue. You are not allowed to use kitchen facilities as the husband cooks food for guests' purchase. Except, he was sick and unable to cook and guests were not allowed to use kitchen. During the night, the fan in the room fell apart and started making a loud noise which woke me up. The saving grace was Boston beach which I quite enjoyed. On my return from the beach, I told host that I was leaving, he blurted out, "this is the Jamaican jungle, what did you expect". I guess if I visit an African Safari, then I should expect a lion coming into my room and be okay with it. I hope I save someone the bad experience and waste of money and time out of your vacation in Jamaica by going there. The place is a dump.

Clean. Affordable. Near beach and food facilities. Cool enough for just a fan although it's summer. Great host, like a home away from home.

Great host. Room was cosy, clean and comfortable. Alfio and Althea are super host that are always helpful. It was very welcoming and feel like home. Location about 10 minutes walking to the Boston beach. Very nice stay

Great place!

The colours of the room were stunning. The hosts were lovely. They invited us to the party they were going to have down the road, unfortunately we were too tired to make it out. Lovely stay.

The floor felt soft/flexible in places. I know it's sturdy and fine and my significant other laughed at me, but my anxiety worried about going through it.

Exceptional

The bed is really comfortable and the view is incredible. The place is in a great location, easily walkable to the beach and lots of good restaurants and bars but far enough down the road that it's peaceful when that's what you want. The hosts were friendly and helpful, they put me on to a lot of experiences and places I wouldn't have seen otherwise.

I really can't say anything negative. This was a great place to stay, especially for solo travelers

Enjoyable stay in good value accommodation.

Toga is a welcoming guest house in a nice location next to Boston Bay, handy for Reach Falls, Port Antonio and some of Jamaica's loveliest beaches. There was a good included breakfast and the option to have evening meals. Alfio (the friendly Italian owner) is also a DJ and on Sunday evenings hosts a vinyl reggae revival sound system locally at nearby Drapers. This is well worth going to. We enjoyed our stay and considered it to be a good value option.

When we stayed there were some problems with the washbasin taps / water supply but this was a minor issue.

the property was nice my host alfio was cool and his wife also was very welcoming as I put down my bags 💼 I offered to pay my money for my stay but alfio wasn’t having none of it which again was very nice of him there a few things to do in the area did a few of them in one day like Boston beach 🏖️ which is a ten mins walk up the road then Winnifred beach in the middle of both of them you have the famous Boston jerk centre had some nice jerk chicken there want to go into Port Antonio just 20min taxi ride from the guest house all in all I had good stay Mike

don’t if it’s fact in was born in Kingston and use to the taxi services in the city but in Boston I found the taxi services to be very bad once I waited nearly 40mins for a taxi when coming back from the Winnifred beach so I decided to walk back to the guest house great choice and then again when I check out waited 35min outside the guest house until a taxi came? advice if you’re going to the airport from toga give yourself plenty of time if you’re doing your travels buy local taxi …..alfio did warn me lol 😂

fantastic stay , fantastisc host

the host is very kind. a good guy from Italy living in Jamaica. he is a dj and loves to train in his own gym. Besides that he is a very very great cook. His pasta’s are incredible for a good price. Next to this he knows a lot of guides from the area and true him he can fix a good price. the place is a house wich you share with him and possible to other rooms/guest. its nice and clean with a good bed. Alvio, Thanks a lot for this nice stay

you dont really need a car but i recommend you to be more flexibel at this location

We would always come back to this place if we are coming back to Jamaica.

We had a great time at Alfio‘s place! The location is perfect near to wonderful beaches. Boston Beach is amazing and you can walk there, the other locations are easy to reach with route taxis. The beaches are often really empty and you can enjoy. Alfio picked us up from the Knutsford Terminal and dropped us there again, even at 5 am. Besides he made the best Pasta for us! We felt very welcomed!
