Great night’s sleep.

Comfy bed, excellent breakfast and dinner (pork belly was exceptional).

A great alternative to sea-front hotels

This is a very good pub to stay at. Location is great as is the atmosphere. The staff and quality of room is also worth mentioning.

Reception/ check-in area in the pub wasn't so obvious when first entering.

I have to visit Eastbourne again pretty soon, and I'm really hoping they have rooms available then!

Location is great + private car park is extremely convenient, friendly staff & good atmosphere & excellent food, also good beer & good wine. High standard of cleanliness. Overall: it's a class act. The job I actually came to Eastbourne to do was a nightmare, so the sheer excellence of the Pilot Inn really saved the day & prevented me from losing the will to live.

This is probably my own stupid fault for not reading the small print when booking, but I was slightly taken aback to discover on arrival that breakfast would be extra. Mind you, I bet the breakfast is as good as everything else.

A very comfortable stay with thoughtful extras

Situated above a charming pub, the rooms were very clean and comfortable with lots of thoughtful extras like a fridge, bottled water, coffee, tea, biscuits, iron, extra blankets etc. The shower pressure was excellent and bed comfortable. It’s a great location for beautiful Mead and Beachy Head but maybe a little far from town if your activities are pier and central Eastbourne based although there’s a great bus service. They kindly let us store our bags when we arrived early. Would recommend staying here.

Staff were welcoming and helpful. The room and ensuite was really lovely, beautifully designed and very well equipped. We chose to eat evening meal and breakfast on site, both of which were very good. Outside areas are also well presented.

Location was excellent, close to sea front and South Downs - didn’t need to use car. Food was exceptional. Every staff member was very pleasant, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Accommodation clean, comfortable and well maintained. Having car park is a good asset

Comfortable and welcoming, we'll be back!

Very happy with everything from the staff, food and whole vibe of the place. Was just a lovely establishment. Would definitely stay and eat here again!

The only thing that we had a problem with was that the fridge in our room didn't work.

A wonderful stay

A wonderful stay. The staff couldn't have done more for us and were so friendly. The room was really comfortable and the breakfast was superb. Will definitely book when we next come to Eastbourne.

A fabulous pre-Christmas break with friends.

A little gem of a pub, excellent restaurant and bar. The Bedrooms are beautiful. This is our 3rd visit and it won't be our last!

Great pub in a beautiful location with stylish and clean rooms

Character pub in a lovely area near the sea, stylish and comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Top notch English breakfast too! Would definitely return.

Great atmosphere and busy. The best staff. All of them so helpful and friendly. Room 3 was fab. Not a fan of bathtub in bedrooms. Would have preferred a sofa as we had to sit on the bed and a few cushions would have helped. The food was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Very clean and comfortable room in an atmospheric, fantastically located pub. Charming staff.

Excellent location - very near the sea and all of Eastbourne's attractions and amenities. The room was very clean and bathroom well appointed. Krups coffee machine in the room which was a nice touch. Food very good and the pub itself plus the garden are really atmospheric. The staff are charming and super helpful.

Whilst the room was clean and the bed very comfortable some of the decor ie the curtains, bed throw, mugs and lamp looked really cheap and detracted from the overall look. The room was also quite small although the bathroom was a decent size.
