About this house rental
Blue Pine Lodge - what a cabin in the mountains should be! All new furniture, linens, kitchenware, etc... Natural wood trim throughout makes you feel like you are truly on vacation in the woods (but with granite countertops of course) .
Master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Bedroom #2 - Queen, Bedroom #3 - Queen, Bedroom #4 - Bunk Room w/ 2 bunk beds - both are twin over full size mattresses. The HD TVs have Roku boxes with DirectvStream for regular channels.
This home was originally built in 2012 as a 2nd home for a couple. We purchased it in 2019 and hired the original builder to come and remodel it to be an even better vacation home rental.
We have variety of games and toys for kids of all ages, such as Connect 4, Uno, Phase 10, imaginext play sets, and assortment of books.
We have a dedicated Retro Atari spot, which we call the arcade nook, which has a 42" HD TV with Retro Atari game system.
The bedrooms come with clean sheets already tucked in for you, and a towel and face cloth for each guest to use. We even have toothbrush holders by the sink. The bathtub and shower have shampoo, conditioner and body wash so you don't need to bring your own. You might want to bring your own pool towel if you plan on visiting the Massanutten Water Park, as they don't supply towels. There is also a classic bidet from TUSHY in the upstairs bathroom!
TVs in the Living Room, Master Bedroom have DirecTV Stream. The TVs in the Bunk Room and 2 Queen bedroom TVs do not have DirecTV Stream but do have other TV apps.
The dining room now has 2 dining tables that each seat 6 people or pull out the foldout leaf and each table seats 8.
The bunk room TV also has an Xbox 360 game system if the Atari isn't your thing.
Outside on the patio is a gas bbq grill, picnic table, lounge chairs, and a huge Connect 4 standing game. In the yard is the new hot tub, a fire pit and rack of wood for roasting marshmallows after a day of hiking.
Most of the time you can arrive at the house before the 4pm posted time, unless it's busy, like summertime. Ask us if you'd like to arrive early, so we can check housekeeper schedule.

Great place for a birthday getaway with family and friends. Cabin was clean and relaxing.

We spent our spring break at this wonderful cabin. The kids enjoyed the hot tub, the woodsy surroundings, and learning new card games. We took day trips to the water park, the safari park, and Luray Caverns. When we hoped to extend our stay by another night, the host was super responsive and helpful. This felt like a very personable visit!

We had a great stay. Very clear and responsive owner. The property is super clean and has everything you might need. Hot tub was A plus. Kids enjoyed playing in the yard and with the tic tac toe. The dinner table that seats 8 allowed for awesome family time. They had a high chair for the littles. Spices for cooking. It was so super comfy. Highly recommend. 5 stars.

This home was perfect for our group. It had everything we were looking for. Although we didn’t get to ski due to the warm weather, the waterpark was great for the kids as well as local breweries and wineries for the adults.

We had wonderful family time together at the Blue Pine Lodge. We made some awesome holiday memories! All of our planned activities were so close and convenient, the neighborhood was quiet and beautiful! The house was exactly what we needed! We cooked meals, but also enjoyed nearby restaurants. The hot tub was a hit after a day on the slopes! We played games and watched movies in the large family room/dining room! The owner was very responsive to questions we had while settling in. Highly recommend.

Great kitchen and group space to relax upstairs, nice porch and backyard, great location, large bedrooms, very clean. Perfect for multiple families to share. Nice attention to details, like hooks and benches in the entry mudroom and kid dishes to use.

Their place was clean and ready for us. A couple of staples in the kitchen was nice. The vintage Atari was a big hit. We had a great mini-vacation.

We stayed here with 7 guys for a long weekend. Besides the spare old water bottle we found, the place was absolutely lovely and accommodating! Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

The Blue Pine Lodge was in a beautiful setting and the house has all the amenities - big kitchen/great room with plenty of seats at the dining table, gaming set up for the kid/teens, and a jacuzzi and fire pit for everyone to enjoy. We had a great time and would highly recommend this property. Marshall and Joy responded quickly to my texts.

I'd like to start by saying Thank you, Marshall and Joy! Your house was beautiful and perfect for my family. Every room had a TV lol which we loved! Everything about the home was Everything we expected and more. The deck over looking the mountain beautiful. The jacuzzi super relaxing loved it. My kids had a blast with their own room and play area. Couldn't ask for a better home to be honest! You will see us again in the future! Thanks again ;0)

Property was very nice. Loved that there was plenty of washcloths, towels and linen. The walk in shower in the master bedroom was almost bigger than the whole downstairs bathroom. Wish it would have been a lil warmer so we could've spent more time outside to enjoy the property. Will definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful time at Blue Pine Lodge. It was the perfect space for the six of us. The house was very clean and the decor was warm and inviting! We had fun exploring the area and especially enjoyed our time we spent on Skyline drive. Would definitely come back again!

Nice amenities and open main floor for gathering.

We have vacationed at Blue Pine Lodge for the last several years. Our family always has an amazing time. The home and property are welcoming, the accommodations are clean and perfect for a large family (we were a party of 11!), and are just a short distance from the Massanutten Family Adventure Park and other resort amenities. As always, Marshall is a fantastic host - responsive and accommodating. We can't wait to come back next year again!

The Blue Pine Lodge made this amazing weekend possible. You can't beat the location; only 3 minutes from the slopes. Check in could not have been easier and the owners graciously allowed us to check in early with no additional expense. Their communication with us in the days leading up to the rental was frequent, timely, and detailed. When we arrived, the house was spotless...even the fridge. You don't often see rental properties that are better in person than in pictures. It was fully stocked with the basics: quality paper towels and toilet paper (not thin govt grade), trash bags in cans, condiments, bath towels, etc. It was literally "move in ready". The comfortable aroma of pine throughout the house gave it the fragrance of a mountain lodge which set the mood of relaxation from our first step through the door. It was wonderfully decorated and we immediately felt right at home. The amenities were perfect for our family of five (including three teenage boys). We all loved the Atari. The large tables were perfect for evening card games. We would have loved to use the real wood burning fireplace or the fire pit, but we were too exhausted at the end of each day to do little more than plop on the very comfortable furniture. The house was very functional as well. The laundry/mud room is just in from the main entrance and had plenty of hooks for all the wet, damp gear. It also was a "thawing" rack for skis and boards so we didn't have to leave them in the truck overnight. Checkout was also very easy with detailed instructions guiding us every step of the way. We had an amazing weekend at the resort and in the house. Our boys can't wait to do this again next winter.

We had a great time on our extended weekend away. Great location. Super responsive owner. Hot tub and firepit was all we needed at night. Overall, well appointed home. Noise was a little challenging with the open air upper level and two families. Would recommend doors on the master shower. But both minor and did not detract from our wonderful weekend away!

We absolutely loved this house! We have 6 kids and brought my parents as well and although this isn’t a mansion it is very well designed to throw a bunch of kids in the room with 4 bunk beds. The main living space was large, spacious, and very cozy especially when you got the fire place going. Love the master bath, huge kitchen table space for dining and games, and the hot tub was a big hit especially with the easy access from master bathroom.
The master bedroom is very nice and loved it but good to know that the walls do not go up to ceiling so privacy from main are from sounds is not present. Wasn’t a huge deal for us- but if a group wants to stay up late enjoying a loud movie- master bedroom by default will also be enjoying the movie:).
The owner was the nicest guy and answered all 1000 of my questions before during and after trip- absolutely the most helpful host and I felt like I was staying at a friends house who was determined to make our trip enjoyable.
Love this place and will definitely come back!

Excellent vacation rental in beautiful Massanutten, the cabin was perfectly stocked and clean. We had 3 families of four ages 5-11 and it was plenty of room for everyone. The kids really enjoyed all the local activities that Massanutten has to offer, we did the water park, snow tubing and ice skating. We even went over to Washington D.C. for a day. Marshall was very accommodating and great with communication. Flawless rental. We will definitely be back.

Very beautiful home in a great location was perfect for my family Christmas. Host was very responsive and answered all of my questions. Home was very spacious and we had an amazing time. Would definitely stay again.

The house was nice and the community has many activities to choose from. One zone heating choice was to be cold in the downstairs bedrooms or roast in the upstairs bedroom. The can opener should be updated as it was difficult to use. Everything else was top notch!!! Marshall was responsive and easy to work with. I would definitely return to this property.

We had a wonderful trip with family & friends. The home is gorgeous and perfectly positioned on the mountain. Close to the Adventure Park and Campfire Grill and not far at all from the Waterpark. The home is large but it feels even larger with how the bedrooms are positioned. Very comfortable for our group of 7. I highly recommend this property.

Everything about this trip was wonderful! Between booking online, the check - in process, the house was VERY clean and tidy, hot tub was VERY nice and gaming set-up was LOVED by my family. One thing I really appreciated was the light switches being labeled, I didn’t have to flip switches to find the right one. You can definitely tell so much thought and love went into setting this place up for a rental. It has everything you need! Thank you Marshall for a great stay! We hope to come back soon!!

The house is extremely true to the listing. Our group of 6 adults and three kids under 2yo fit perfectly and comfortably. The house is well stocked and all amenities worked and looked as described. It is clear great care goes into keeping the property in great shape for renters. Will definitely book again if we ever revisit the area.

We came down to see our freshman at JMU and we were lucky enough to choose Marshall’s house. It was about 25 minutes from JMU, and the perfect spot for our family of five to enjoy some quality family time. We easily could have had another family with us too, there are 4 big bedrooms and plenty of space to spread out. We all loved the hot tub at the end of a cold, wet day of JMU football. We will definitely be staying here again!

We enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was a very cool layout and peaceful neighborhood. We look forward to coming back in the winter to ski.

Good house for families
Great house for multiple families to gather with large, well-equipped kitchen, big dining/living room, and great deck space and yard. Lots of games, gaming systems, streaming options for rainy days.
Only two downsides: 1) the master bedroom upstairs adjoins the kitchen but the dividing wall does not go to the ceiling so sound easily travels between the bedroom and kitchen; 2) the downstairs bathroom is a long way from the kids' bunkroom.

Even better than the pictures. We loved this place — it was comfortable and had everything we needed. Good location and easy to get anywhere you need to go. My youngest cried the night before we left because he wanted to “stay here forever!”

Accommodated 10 of us perfectly. Very clean and well maintained. Our only recommendation would be to get a bar set with pints, shot glasses, mixing set, etc. Otherwise the kitchen had everything we needed!
