After Math is oceanfront living at its finest. Built in 2020, this Outer Banks vacation retreat features 8 bedrooms, 7 full baths plus 3 half baths. Handicap friendly with an elevator convenient for carrying your luggage and groceries to the multiple levels.
Ocean Sands is located within a short drive to quaint shops, numerous grocery stores, local restaurants, movie theaters and other area attractions that the town of Corolla has to offer. The Currituck Club Rees Jones golf course is nearby, and the Currituck Lighthouse and historic Whalehead Club are just a short drive to the north. Rent a four wheel drive vehicle or take wild horse tour.

House is great location and has lots of space for everyone. Our kids loved the bunk bed room, pool, and game room. One issue we had though was the downstairs refrigerator wasn’t working part of the trip which was an inconvenience with a larger group but management did come fix it. Also few little things would help like a broom, scissors and wine opener.

We were told the night before our arrival the elevator would not be working--too late to find someplace else and to late to cancel the reservation. Our party of 19 included two 76 year old seniors and a new hip replacement. No monetary compensation was offered from either the owner or the realtor for a 3 floor home that was NOT AS ADVERTISED. The elevator, in our case, was not a frivolity; but a necessity. Financial consideration should have been given (no matter how minimal) as we had rented there 3 years in a row. No small chunk of change on our part. All that was offered was "help carrying luggage in". What about navigating the remainder of the week? The proof of how well an organization performs is how well major issues--not minor ones--are handled. Both the realtor and the owner failed on this one. The realtor was notified several times through either emails or text messages as to our displeasure. There was absolutely no follow-up or follow through. Would you want your grandparents treated in this manner on a property that cost $22,000+ ?

Our large blended family had a wonderful week at After Math in Corolla NC. The house had everything we needed and was in beautiful condition. It was very clean and well taken care of. The pool and hot tub were perfect as well. Our grandkids enjoyed the small wading area in the pool. We utilized all of the 8 bedrooms and there isn't a bad or less desirable room in the house. The location was perfect with two grocery stores less than a mile and 1/2 away, golf was a mile away as well. The beach access is only one house over and easy to get to. We also appreciated the library full of books to enjoy while we were there. The kitchen was well equipped but could use another cutting board or two. Two dishwashers came in handy for such a large group. And the refrigerator on the lower level near the pool was very handy. We hope to return to After Math next summer with our big family. Everyone had a great time.

Our first vacation to OBX Corolla and After Math did not disappoint. Located within a mile of grocery stores and loaded with amenities that kept everyone occupied. The size and layout of the house provided ample room for my entire family and no over crowding. Heated pool was well worst the cost. Rental management team were excellent for minor issues. House smelled of bleach upon arrival, however floors very Sandy and bathroom left with hair and dirty floor. House needs a deep cleaning, floors were dirty, vents fuzzy, and baseboard very dirty.

We loved everything about our place except it was filthy dirty.Food splattered on walls, kitchen cupboards dirty with food, fingerprints and dust.Sinks had mold around the tops of them and drained poorly.Refrigerator was dirty and needed cleaning.Shower floor in bedroom on main level had disgusting mold all over.Bedspread on main level bedroom had visible stains.Lots of little repairs needed fixing, towel bars loose or hanging, blind handles missing, screen doors hard to open and close.Windows inside and out were dirty.All surrounding cement needed sweeping or blown off.Alot of Weeds in landscaping.Beautiful home, great location - would not rent this home again if it doesn’t get a deep clean.

After Math was a beautiful house which our family enjoyed all of the amenities the house offered. It had plenty of space in the common areas and bedrooms. It was very nicely decorated. The pool and hot tub were great. The beach was a very short walk from the house. The ocean view was amazing and sun rises were beautiful. Areas that need improvement: The Beach Realty property next door (603 Tide Arch) did not know where to place garbage cans for pickup. As a result, we had to look at trash overflowing the cans all week. After contacting Beach Realty, they had someone come out and clean up the mess.

Nor’easter week
Even though we were there the week of the nor’easter storm we had a great time…Thank god for all of the space in this house to enjoy…We didn’t get to use the pool, yard, and decks which was disappointing because of the storm….The only fault I could say is that there is only one towel per person, you would have to pay $7.00 for every extra set needed…..And it’s the first house I have ever rented that had not even one dish towel….So just be prepared for that…..Other than that the house is awesome!

LOVED the home! Wasn't cleaned when we arrived/sheets/linens missing. Grill very dirty. They quickly resolved the above. Elevator very sensitive. Had to call service twice as it quit working. If in a wheelchair - not accessible enough. Shower is large, but door not wide enough. Only bed low enough would be bunk room but bathroom there not handicap friendly.

We loved having the shallow area connected to the pool for the little ones & were very impressed with the amount of pool floats provided. Cornhole boards were great as well. After Math is a great house in a great location. Every bedroom has a full bathroom and the house has a great layout and is well stocked. Unfortunately, for a newer home, the maintenance is not being kept up. The rental management company is not responsive. They did send out a maintenance guy unscheduled who arrived at the house with no knowledge of what was wrong, despite my providing a detailed list. We were at the beach, so he left and didn’t fix a thing. Biggest concerns were that it is NOT being kept clean and the elevator is useless. In fact, a member of our group got stuck on it and had to climb out between floors! The emergency maintenance guy said to call 911 as they can’t help - then what can they help with?? Bring your own linens & blankets as many are severely stained with ??? To the owner: IF the house was deep cleaned and stained linens replaced (especially during this pandemic), we would have considered returning next year. You need to hire a new management company because the elevator was needed by some members of our group, but became a hazard that the management company could not figure out. There were a number of other problems (door knobs falling apart, shutters missing bars to open/close, NO broom provided to sweep up sand... I could go on and on) Again, overall it is a great house, just needs to be cleaned, maintained and managed better.

Aftermath was a beautiful home that accommodated our party of 19 perfectly!! The pool floats and sand toys were stocked which was very nice!! The grassy area and corn hole was great for the kiddos! The only downside for us was we are used to having private access to the beach which this house does not have. The public access is just one house down though. We had an amazing time at Aftermath!!

The house is beautiful. Fantastic house. Very clean. Lots of space, plenty of entertainment, big rooms, big bathrooms, nice decks, and wonderful backyard area with pool and hot tub. Fantastic view of the ocean. However, the house is labelled as "Handicap Friendly" which I find deceiving. We have a child confined to a wheelchair and there was not a ramp to get the child inside the house. There is an elevator inside the house but it is very temperamental and stopped working a few times. The listing also stated there is a handicapped accessible shower but that is not the case. There is a still a step to get into the shower and a handicapped accessible shower should not have steps. This house does not have direct beach access which was disappointing but not a big deal. Very short walk to the beach but there are a lot of steps. The steps are not an issue for an abled-bodied individual but it was an issue for our one child in the wheelchair. So a beautiful house but the description is somewhat misleading. Also, the house does not have regular cable so we were not able to watch any of the Olympic games that were happening at the time. Property management was very nice but the video game stopped working Monday morning and was not fixed until Friday afternoon. They were wonderful in handling the situations with the elevator. One gentleman in particular, Mr. Greg, was exceptional. When the elevator broke Friday evening, he personally came out to the house to make sure we could get our child's wheelchair out of the house. This was not his job but he understood the severity of the situation with a child with special needs. Thank you, Mr. Greg.

After Math Ocean Front
Beautiful new home on ocean in Corolla, NC. The home was dirty upon our arrival (bathrooms especially) and we had a couple of minor maintenance issues; we reported right away and housekeeping and maintenance came the following day and took care of everything. They were very responsive. Plenty of room and the views can't be beat. We had a wonderful week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend home!

Beautiful and Spacious
We rented this house and had 11 adults and 7 children in our party. The house had more than ample space for all that were part of our trip. You do not feel that you are on top of each other. The home was spotless when we arrived with many modern and updated touches including many TVs, theatre room, pool table and arcade games which was enjoyed by all. Another added bonus was in the bunk bed room three of the four bunk beds were full beds which was enjoyed by the kids. The view was breathtaking from all of the decks of the home. The access to the beach was one house down which was very convenient in bringing all of the items we needed and also offered a sense of privacy from others that were walking to the beach. The only minor draw backs with our experience is that check in was between 4:00-6:00 pm and due to the cleaning crew still being in the home we were not able to get into the home until 6:30pm and there was a minor issue with the elevator which was rectified the next day. There was good communication with the rental company and The only recommendation would be possibly to have an umbrella for the tables around the pool area to provide some shade. I would highly recommend staying at After Math and hope to be able to go back soon!

Great property, management just okay...
Property is great. Plenty of room and amenities. Management could have been better. Arrived and some of the second floor bedrooms did not have the linens changed or beds cleaned, with remnants of cereal still in some beds. Had to call the after hours service because offices are not open much beyond check in time. Someone showed up and cleaned the beds but did not have aone of the correct linen sets and that did not come until the day later. Conversations did not show any remorse or concern. All in all it was a nice property and nice visit. Dealings with management jaded it just a little.

Our family & college friends re-created an OBX vacation we took 30 years ago. After Math was the prefect home for all twelve adults & an infant to stay. We had plenty of space in & outside of the house. Just a short walk to the beach access. The pool was terrific for our baby. The interior of the house was clean & bathrooms were beautiful. Beds were comfortable. Everyone had plenty of space to spread out. The location of the house is an easy walk or drive to two shopping areas. A few suggestions, add bath mats to the towel rental, hooks in the bathroom would be helpful to hang a bathrobe or pajamas & door mats inside the door from the pool & the carport to wipe the sand off your shoes. There are mats outside each door, but inside would be helpful. I was extremely pleased that all my contacts with Beach Realty employees were professional & polite. I would recommend this property for rental. The description was accurate regarding the location, layout & all amenities.

We loved everything about this gorgeous home. Stunning views of the ocean out the large kitchen windows. We were even blessed to have watched some Dolphins swimming while we ate our breakfast one morning. The home is immaculate and beautifully decorated. Everything is top of the line and made us feel so spoiled to have been there. There is an abundance of kitchen items and literally had everything we needed to cook for our large party of 12. The game room and theater room on the lower level kept the kids entertained on the rainy days and kept them happy and engaged with one another. Lots to do and see out in the town but honestly we didn’t want to leave this home for 1 minute because it was so perfect! Clean comfortable fenced in area with great pool and hot tub. Plenty of lounge chairs for relaxing and soaking up the sun during the warm months. Elevator was also a plus and helped loading and unloading our suitcase and food in and out of the home. Worth every penny! We will be back to stay as soon as we can.

Seamless experience - new, comfortable, great location
We spent a week here with extended family and enjoyed every minute. The property was spacious and new, the one issue (an elevator issue that we ourselves caused) was fixed immediately. Kitchen was well equipped and Harris Teeter was close by. We spent many hours watching dolphins play in the ocean from the large 3rd floor room and its decks. Would definitely stay again.

The home is immaculate and beautifully decorated. Everything is top of the line and made us feel so spoiled to have been there.
There is an abundance of kitchen items and literally had everything we needed to cook for our large party of 12. The game room and theater room on the lower level kept the kids entertained on the rainy days and kept them happy and engaged with one another. Lots to do and see out in the town but honestly we didn’t want to leave this home for 1 minute because it was so perfect! Clean comfortable fenced in area with great pool and hot tub. Plenty of lounge chairs for relaxing and soaking up the sun during the warm months. Elevator was also a plus and helped loading and unloading our suitcase and food in and out of the home.
Worth every penny! We will be back to stay as soon as we can.
