We stayed at this property to get to know the ares. All though we were further from Truckee, (property was in North Star) than we wanted to be it was a great way to figure things out. The property was clean, quiet and just what we needed!!!
10.0 / 10.0
An unbeatable location for winter or summer activities! And the condo is comfortable to sleep 4-5 even for its petite size. Would definitely rent again.
6.0 / 10.0
The location of the apartment was super convenient and close to the village run and village gondolas, but unfortunately the apartment was very dirty and unkempt. All surfaces and linens were dusty, appliances could all use a refresh, and kitchen was very bare.

The benefits are clear: the condo is close to the slopes (3 min walk) and village (10 min walk) and has what you need for a ski vacation. But it has the finishing qualities of a Motel 6, is worn and dated, cramped in space and sparsely equipped. So, while it served us well for the stay it was overpriced for what it offered.

The condo was the perfect size for our family and a great location for the slopes and village. However, the management of Vacasa is abysmal. Upon arrival, we were greeted with mice. When we asked for help, little was given. Two days after we found our first mouse, a service man came and put it in catch-and-release traps. We spent several nights listening to the mice gnaw and scratch at the plastic container, which we released on our own daily. We caught a total of 12 mice throughout our stay. The property manager barely communicated and did very little to help. When we called Vacasa to complain, they did nothing except tell us, "Just tell the kids not to play on the floor". We even had a mouse crawl under our feet while we were watching a family movie on the couch. Vacasa still has done much to make it right. We had to go out and buy our own mouse traps and became the condo's exterminator. The worst part was the lack of communication from local and national management. Think twice before renting with Vacasa.

Very nice and quiet place close to mountain bike trails around North Tahoe. Very comfortable. A few minor issues: 1. Bathroom/shower were a bit old and could use some love (e.g. I had to fix the toilet flush mechanism a few times). 2. The guest pass for the rec center was missing (luckily turned out I wasn't going to use it anyway). 3. The listing mentions washer/dryer in the amenities section but I didn't see any in the unit.

Love this condo and watching the gondola go by. So quiet in the off season too, fully stocked and decorated cute. My only complaint was the shower liner was SO NASTY and moldy! They are only a few dollars...this one hasn't been swapped out ever it looks like!

The location is perfect and the condo was wonderful. My only suggestion would be to clean the rug in the kitchen and supply extra light bulbs, as we had three that were burnt out, We called prop mgmt. but they never provided replacements bulbs.

Code to entry was wrong- took an hour to reach someone. Sleeper sofa bedding was disgusting. Put kids on floor on bedding from our truck. After 47 min, reached someone in Colorado who promised someone would be there in AM to clean. No one came. No one called back. TV did not work the entire time. I will never rent Vacasa again and will dispute this stay. We were there for a race- could not find alternate lodging close enough to move. Super stressful and no one cared.

Pros:
- Location (ski on)
Cons:
- Toilet didn’t work
- Fireplace didn’t work
- Not well maintained (dirty)
- No customer service to help with the above (requests for help were ignored)

Place great, but had issues with management company
We loved the ski in & out aspect of this place. Initial communication by the management company was great. However, once we figured out the oven was broken we started having issues: reminding them to come look at it, etc. Eventually they gave us a plug in oven, but it only fit one of the dishes we brought, so we had to go out too eat, which was hard over a holiday. I asked for some compensation back for our unexpected expenses (especially since we paid so much for this place) and had to fight them for it. I didn't ask for much and now have a poor opinion of them. If nothing goes wrong, it's a great place. Otherwise, be prepared to work to get what you need.

Wonderful Stay
Clean, comfortable, convenient and communications with the agency were perfect. Highly recommend for a small family (2-3 people). Would definitely book this place again in the future.

Clean and convenient
I love that I only had to walk a short distance (less than I normally walk from the drop off spot in the village) to get directly on the ski slopes. We were able to completely avoid the traffic back up from the highway, parking lot, and shuttles. Then, at the end of the day we skied down a run called coyote fork which ends right across the parking lot from the condo! This place is at least as convenient as staying in the village for significantly less price per night.
Inside, the condo is clean, open, updated, and bright. We loved watching the gondola go past the window while sitting on the couch.
Next time I come to Northstar I’m going to plan on staying here again

Need to walk aporox 300 yards to locate run to the gondola

Nice condo
This was a nice property that fairly close to the trail to walk to. Had pretty much everything we needed to cook our meals also except that the toaster wouldn’t stay down to toast the bread. But I simply held it down manually until it was done. Other than that we were happy with the convenient location and the price. Would go back

Relaxing Stay
Comfortable stay for my girlfriend and me. So much better than fighting the traffic in and out of the village each day. Ample parking and ski locker made this get away so easy.

We enjoyed our stay up at Northstar very much. Great amenities, comfy bed, fabulous view, short cruise to Truckee or Kings beach. Would definitely stay again!

First timers
As first timers, we weren't sure how the process would work. Ended up in a bit of a tizzy, but VRBO responded quickly and helpfully to our e-mail request for help. Their quick follow-up helped us get the entry code and start our vacation stay with a sigh of relief! Would definitely use them again.

Tremendous stay
Best location, so great to be close to shops and yet still in the wilderness. All the amenities were great. Truckee nights and Kings Beach days a must!

Charming
The place was charming, nicely updated and a perfect location - near enough to the village for the amenities but just far enough to feel quietly away from it all. Only drawback was an inquiry I made prior to check in went into a communication black hole between VRBO & Vacasa and I never got a reply.

Return visit
This is our second stay in this cozy condo and what a pleasant surprise to find bunk beds have been added. Perfect for our family of four. The beds easily lower from the wall (Murphy bed style) and have comfortable mattresses. It was cozy but it worked great! Thanks for improving a place we already loved. We can’t wait to visit this summer! Clean as usual which my wife appreciates!!

Cozy cabin-like condo
We enjoys our stay as a family of 4. There is a pull down bunk where my 6 and 8 year old slept in the same room as us. The location was close to the gondola, just a short walk, and ski down to get to it. The pots and pans were out of shape as expected and the hallway was pretty dark where we had to change and store our belongings. Regardless, we would stay here again.
8.0 / 10.0
The best part of the home was the price and location. You only have to walk a short distance to ski down to the Northstar gondola right onsite. The home was cozy, had all the basic items stocked (salt, sugar, towels, etc.), and had a comfortable bed. The drawbacks are that the cooking pans are worn, the hallways are dark, and there isn't a washer/dryer for you to use and there's no exhaust fan when you're cooking in the kitchen.

Clean and cozy
What a sweet location!!! We enjoyed the fall in Lake Tahoe while being away from the crowds. Love that we could take the gondola to the Ritz Carlton and enjoy some beautiful hiking. Appreciate that linens were clean, condo felt sanitized and we were able to get a safe getaway during Covid. We will be back for ski season!

Perfect little spot for two. Just a short drive to Kings Beach or Incline Village. Everything we needed was provided in the condo and would definitely stay again.

Clean, modern, awesome location!
We loved this condo! My wife and I stayed with our two kids. It was in a quiet location, a few minutes walk to Northstar Village. Super comfy bed and a pull out couch that was actually very comfortable. Even though it was Labor Day weekend, it was very quiet and peaceful in the condo. My kids enjoyed watching the gondola go by the family room window. Can’t wait to stay here again!
