Cool place

I had a great night's sleep, my room was clean and the water pressure was strong! And I was finally able to wash myself with hot water!!! In other hotels the water was barely warm. Breakfast was good and served in a very nice place decorated with shells! The free drinking water was also nice. The place matches the description. I will be back Mr Dickson was very helpful!

The breakfast was lovely, lots of variety. The place is pretty close to the ocean about 5 mins away.

Maybe they could do a little better with the crows that disturb during breakfast.

Good breakfast and helpful staff. Very clean. I have already stayed at this hotel a year ago, it is very calm and pleasant to be here, I noticed that this place is very well taken care of. Other than that - it's really close to the beach. Good wi-fi👍

5’ minutes away from the beach and close to restaurants.

The hotel is located 5’ on foot far from the beach.Also , the staff helped us immediately to arrange a pick up taxi to the hotel even we requested it last minute. The breakfast was really nice.It is served and it consists of a fruit platter and you can choose eggs or the local donuts. The room was super clean and it had also a sofa outside in a shared big balcony.

the roads are dirt with potholes and the passage is not very easy especially if it rains because they become muddy. Though , this is all over Nungwi area.

Amazing staff. They were very helpful and always checked in to see if everything was okay. The location is perfect, very close to the beach & the horse club.

Excellent value for money. Would happily return to this hotel again

The hotel is ideally located. Three minutes walk to one of the best beaches in Nungwi. Beautiful green and very well maintained area. Delicious and varied breakfasts. Clean rooms. You can feel the care of the guests: there is an adapter for an outlet, cups for drinking water, mosquito spray, good bedding and towels, and much more. Ideal for vacation with children.

I wanted to extend my stay, but there were no rooms available. I advise you to plan your vacation in advance.

Absolutely great!

The Manager Dickson was amazing. He did everything to make our stay as nice as possible. Never saw a Manager comitted like him.

You have to walk 5 mins to the beach.

Good value for money. The room was clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Nungwi. The beach is not so far from hotel. The road takes 5-7 minutes. There are many cafes for lunch around the hotel. I attended yoga classes at nearby hotel. Without doubt Zanzibar is one of the beautiful places I have ever been. Go to the beach and enjoy the vibe. Do not spend time on being in the hotel)). Many thanks Dasha, Dikson and Othumani for their support during my vacation.

the hotel is very nice and well cared for. it is only a few minutes walk from the beach and the shops. the staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast is absolutely exceptional.

the only minor improvement could be that the property has no bar. but the water is free (great plus!) so bring your water bottle!

this is already my second visit to the Max hotel, I come here because everything is perfect for me, the quality and service are always on top, varied tasty breakfasts, the location is a short walk to the ocean, daily cleaning and always really fresh bed linen

Nice cozy hotel with an Excellent location

The staff is very friendly, the rooms are big and clean, breakfast is really nice and the location is perfect (2-3 min walk from the beach). The hotel helped us to arrange day trips and taxis a lot cheaper than anywhere else.

We visited this hotel in late August/beginning September and paid 90$ per night since it was supposedly the high season (it was not). The truth is the the bad quality of this hotel doesn’t justify this price no matter what the season. Hotel surrounding: hotel is located on a dirty and a dusty road, definitely not a pleasant walk to the beach. Hotel facilities: For 90$ a night, a swimming pool is a standard. Breakfast: supposedly several breakfast options, but several items were unavailable several days in a row (e.g. no avocado for 3 days, no hash browns on another day, etc.). Breakfast coffee looked like and tasted like decades after its expiration date. What is more, I had a chance to see inside the kitchen and I wonder if basic hygiene standards are maintained (actually I doubt). Room: We were given a room with no privacy behind the reception with a window directly to the common area, so everyone could see in our room. There was only one light in the room and the light coming from the hallway was disturbing our sleep and we had to turn it off each evening, because the staff didn’t think about such a detail. The mattress was very hard and made it more difficult to get proper sleep along with the early-morning prayers and light coming out of the hallway. Furthermore, there were no electric sockets next to the bed and we had to charge our phones on the table. Bathroom: Water taps have not been cleaned for ages (I have a photo), door starting to get rotten (I have another photo) and the shower was not separated from the rest of the bathroom, which means I could not taken a shower without overflowing the entire bathroom. Wi-Fi: It was so weak that it took me 30 minutes to send a single mail and I couldn’t open larger files from the internet even when sitting next to the router. Mobile data didn’t work either in the hotel.
