About this house rental
Purpose built for your large family to enjoy. This 3 bedroom/ 2 bath home also includes a downstairs Man Cave complete with 50" TV that can be viewed inside or outside and a half bath. 3 Queen beds and 4 twins can easily accommodate 9 guests. A fully outfitted kitchen includes just about every utensil, pot/pan and appliance you could want. Plenty of dishes to prevent shortages when the dishwasher is running are included. Full size Washer and Dryer are located upstairs. Double boat slips and lighted downstairs deck. keep the fishermen happy. Parking for up to 6 cars.
Large charcoal grill on the front downstairs patio.
If you plan to bring your boat or jet ski's, please let us know before your arrival. The city of Jamaica Beach charges $10 for launch and $10 haul-out tags to use the Marina area. We have to apply for these tags in advance.

Property was very clean, as described, great kitchen with everything needed to cook and prepare meals. Both outside sitting areas were spacious and the top deck was awesome for relaxing with a nice breeze after a long day fishing in the surf. Communication with the property manager was great with a very quick response time. Highly recommended and we will be back next year should we fish this same area. Thanks for contributing to our great trip.

Host was very quick to respond to questions. The property is older and while many appliances were new, there was old carpet in the bedrooms and the mattresses were not kind to my aging back. A towel and pair of pants was found hanging from the deck upon check in. Pillows/bedding were adequate but nothing special. Kitchen supplies were okay; none of the lids we found matched any pots or skillets. No extras like aluminum foil or plastic wrap. The leftovers of renters past were available (as usual in one of these properties). The beach really isn’t within walking distance, but it was a short drive to the public beach access (this fills up pretty quickly so stake your claim early in the day). Our main issue - one probably out of the landlord’s control - was the mosquitos. Of course the place is on a stagnant channel of water so these are to be expected, but these were Terminator Mosquitos. No amount of “OFF!” dissuaded those suckers. The minute you hit the stairs to the upper deck/main entrance they’re on you in a heavy swarm…7-10 on one leg and we didn’t have enough hands to fight them off. We literally could not enjoy any activity downstairs (sitting, grilling, washing off in the outdoor shower) without being eaten alive. On our last night (Thursday) the City finally sprayed and that helped quite a bit. There was a small dog run/fenced area for dogs. The upstairs deck is was nice. Overall, good place but I’d stay somewhere else next time to avoid all the mosquito bites.

Had a great experience! There was only 2 things wrong with this stay. First is that there is no kind of lighting for the upstairs balcony and the bottom queen bed that is located in the queen double bunk room is very uncomfortable.

We loved a lot of things about this property! The outdoor space was very spacious! There was room for 3 vehicles and boat trailer. Both the lower and upper deck areas were huge with tons of seating and table options. There was a nice gated area for pets. They had kayaks and a downstairs bonus room with a restroom. We enjoyed kayaking, swimming and fishing. The bottom of the canal had a sandy bottom and it wasn’t too deep!
The house was clean. The kitchen had plenty of utensils, a nice large refrigerator and a nice oven/stove top. Half of the burners weren’t working on the stove top, we sent a message to let them know, it didn’t stop us from getting what we needed done. The double queen bunks were not very comfortable the bottom mattress had a bit of a sag on one side. The other bedrooms and beds were just fine.

We had a small group for prom and this house was perfect. They enjoyed every minute of it. The boys had so much fun kayaking and tubing down the canal. Perfect for prom pictures!

Frank responded to all questions very quickly and provided all necessary information prior to check-in. The home was just lovely, very clean and inviting. Loved that the upper deck had both a covered area and an uncovered area. Plenty of space and chairs both on the upper level as well as lower. It was very quite and peaceful and loved sitting on the deck at night. Neighborhood was great and several restaurants are very close. We have marked this as one of our favorites and will definitely book next time if available.

We enjoyed our stay! Lots of great outdoor space and seating. Being winter time, the water in the canal was low, so fishing from the dock was not really an option. Layout of the house was just right for our family. We cooked lots of great meals and had plenty of space to hang out.

A small group of my family gathered together to celebrate my daughter's 27th birthday. The house was very nice with plenty of room inside and out. Fishing was wonderful and the younger adults enjoyed the Kayak's. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and utensils and anything you could possibly need. I enjoyed our visit so much. The host was very responsive to any questions or requests. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a get-away.

This was a great canal house if you’re looking to stay on the west side of the island. It was very clean and had a cool layout with plenty of beds. I would highly recommend.

We had an outstanding experience at this clean and spacious canal home. There is lots of space outside, more than what appears the pictures. The inside is tidy and there are more than enough utensils. The upstairs deck is new, roomy, safe for toddlers, and with great views.

Frank is the best. Responds within minutes to any message. The house was beautiful. Exactly as listed in website pictures. Rooms were huge & beds were great. Everything was provided that you would need except food and personal stuff. Being able to fish right off the upper and lower decks was awesome. No fighting the crowds or paying the folks at the piers. Was even able to fish when it rained from the lower covered deck. The man cave was unbelievable. Could use updated recliners in the den.

Great Family Vacay on the Water
We thoroughly enjoyed the location of the house and amenities in the area. We love to fish and the house location on the water was great for this. Only complaint was that the neighbor to the right is a little grumpy…just be prepared for him to tell you that he doesn’t like fishing in his lights, behind his house, although you can’t control if the line drifts that way… We learned to ignore it.

Had a wonderful time. The house was clean. It is well furnished. The lower level is a great place to visit with family and to relax while fishing. Owner responds quickly to questions. We will definitely be staying here again.

The lock box is hidden behind a support pier which caused us to search around the house for 20 mins before it was found.
The 2 kayaks provided had holes on the bottom which caused two teenagers to sink while quite a distance from the house. Luckily 2 guys on personal watercrafts were able to see them in distress and helped them get back to the house. This was not the owner's fault as these holes were hard to see and were caused by people dragging the kayaks. The owner was very nice and had two brand new kayaks at the house the next day.
Overall, the house is very comfortable and well appropriated.

Only Improvement Would be Fishing Lites
We thought this house was really good. It would have been outstanding if they had underwater green lites or a large over-the-water bright fishing lite. We liked fishing at night but the outside lites did not help at all in lighting up the area to fish. We had to use hand held spot lites to watch our corks with live shrimp. I thought it was sort of weird that they keep an empty propane container next to the gas grill, only to say it is empty.....might as well just do away with the grill.

It was an awsome place to stay at with the kids and family. Did some kayaking, fishing, neighborhood park and visited downtown Galveston. Hopefully we get to stay again someday.

Overall very nice and clean. Kayak’s were a nice addition. Close to beach. Recliners in Den are in need of repair, but useable. Only complaint would be the grill, be sure to plan on your own propane tank, we did not want to carry one in our car. Owner was responsive. Caught fish in canal and at the beach. Had Fun!
