The Nauti Mermaid is a beautiful 5 bedroom home with a private swimming pool that is ideally located on 11th street in Port Aransas. This home has been completely reconstructed since Hurricane Harvey and includes everything your large group will need to have a fun filled and comfortable vacation. Each level of the home is like its very own house and includes separate living rooms, full kitchens, dining areas, bedrooms and bathrooms.
The 1st level is a cozy two bedroom suite. One room has a queen bed and flat screen smart tv and one room has twin over twin bunk beds and flat screen smart tv. There is also a large handicap accessible bathroom with walk in tiled shower. The living room has great leather furniture for relaxing and enjoying the flat screen smart tv. The kitchen includes a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, and microwave. There is also a nice island for meal prepping. The four seater dining table is perfect for dining or playing board games. You can access the back yard/pool area from the back door of this level.
To access the upper level, guests will walk up the exterior side staircase to the large deck that runs the width of the home and faces 11th street. Sit out here and catch the sunrise or enjoy people watching in the afternoon shade as the sun sets behind you. As you enter the 2nd level, you will be welcomed by a large and open great room that includes a living room to the right with large flat screen smart tv, a dining area with seating for 6 to the left, and straight in front of you a beautifully appointed kitchen with granite counters, vintage tile backsplash, full size refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and additional bar seating for 5.
There are three bedrooms on this level. On the left side of the house there is a guest room with a queen bed and flat screen smart tv, and then a 2nd guest room has two twin over full bunk beds with a flat screen smart tv. In the hallway between these two rooms there is a bathroom that includes a tub/shower combo as well as a laundry closet with full size washer dryer. On the rear right side of this home you will find the master bedroom with a queen bed and flat screen tv. There is also a connecting hall bathroom with walk in shower that has dual doors that can be utilized for private master bedroom use only or can be opened up for common use. Lastly you will find a a Murphy Bed upstairs with a high quality mattress that can hide in the wall to maximize flexibility during your stay
The fully privacy fenced back yard is full concrete with an in ground swimming pool. There are lounge chairs and a dining table with umbrella for outdoor dining in the shade. There is a separate fenced in area on the side of the house with a partial grassy area for pets.
All tvs are smart and have the Spectrum App for cable as well as many other apps that guests can log into with their credentials.
This home is pet friendly, but please provide details about your pets to Sand Key Realty. Boat parking is allowed at this property, but please check with Sand Key Realty regarding the size of your boat beforehand to ensure you will not have any issues parking it. NO STREET PARKING ALLOWED. The garage is reserved exclusively for owner use.
This home can accommodate parking for up to 5 cars. Note that large trucks or SUVs or a boat may reduce the number of vehicles able to park. Please note that the downstairs is not connected to the rest of the house via an interior staircase. Guests would need to use the outside stairs to access this part of the home.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT TIMES: Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is at 10am. While we try to go above and beyond to accommodate our guests, we cannot guarantee early check-ins or late departures. This is to allow our cleaning crew ample time to make sure the property is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before and after your stay.
ACCESS CODE We have an electronic lock on our property. You won't need to go to an office and pick up keys. This code will be a part of the check-in instructions sent 30 minutes prior to your arrival. When you get in the area you can go straight to the property, unpack, relax and enjoy.
INCIDENTALS: The house comes stocked with dishes, glasses, utensils, cookware, linens, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and bath towels. There is a coffee maker.
SELF CATERING: All of our properties are self-catering. No maid or towel service is provided during your stay.
We partner with SUPERHOG for our guest screening process. The SUPERHOG application must be completed by the primary guest listed on the reservation, and the background check must be finalized within 48 hours of booking confirmation, in compliance with State and City regulations. Please note, your booking is NOT confirmed until these requirements are fulfilled.
Once confirmed, and prior to check-in, guests are required to sign a Rental Agreement that outlines the terms of the stay, which includes agreeing to the following:

The property accommodates a large group; however the property needs a thorough cleaning/disinfecting and some pest control for water bugs. The mold smell in the downstairs part of the home was unbearable.

Our stay was perfect for my family, especially for our toddlers. The place had everything we needed. While the grills weren't the best, the house's location was ideal for eating out, being super close to restaurants and convenience stores, and not too far from the beach. We visited during the predicted arrival of Hurricane Beryl, but the owner stayed in communication the whole time and promptly fixed any issues that occurred. Highly recommended!

The location is great, pool a plus. The downstairs area has a constant moldy smell which is overwhelming. The floors need a deep clean everywhere. The outside trash bins completely full on our arrival so we had to take daily trash to dumpsters at beach.

We had 7 adults, dad being older we put him downstairs with us and the rest upstairs, everyone had their own space. This may be our new yearly vaca rental.

This location is ideal for quick access to the ferry, state highway 361, and the beach! However, right when you walk into the property (no matter the level) there is an overwhelming mildew smell. We assumed the property had some water damage due to past storms. The property also offered limited supplies (one big trash bag for the top level and three for downstairs). Next time we visit we will make sure to bring our own trash bags. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will visit again!

The yard was full of weeds with little balls with thorns on them that got all over your feet and you would take them into the house and they would hurt like hell when you stepped on them. So stay out of the yard and the edge of the pool area

The stay was great. Location is an easy walk to beach and easy to local stores. Only dislike was the alarm system on back door. Understand why is because of safety for the pool. Still seems there would be a better way as it was extremely annoying.

The location is good but it is on one of the busier roads in Port A . Property manager very concerned with carts parked anywhere near the “grass” well there’s not really any grass but a lot of weeds and dry stickers that get tracked in on everyone’s shoes. Not ideal for the beach Vacay. House is a good size but 2 of the beds were covered in pet hair and string dog smell and we had buy detergent to wash the comforter and sheets when we arrived. This was more than just a little left over pet hair in a pet friendly rental that would be ok and expected. Supplies are a little sparse for a rental that houses 14
Management did call about cart wheel on the dirt and that was fine but didn’t really express any concern with the cleaning issues. This didn’t ruin our stay but we probably wouldn’t rent again and we come every year with a large group.
The downstairs has a very musty smell.
This property has great potential if someone gave it some TLC.

The property was just as described. Having the separate lower apartment was great for us and our older dog. The private pool was nice and a huge reason we chose this house. Lots of outdoor seating options. Quick drive to beach, restaurants, grocery store, etc.
Just FYI. If you bring a dog, get them used to some kind of “shoes”. The stickers in the yard and most of the surrounding area are very bad.

It was amazing and so relaxing. The upstairs was great and lots of places to seat. It was clean, and the pool area was so inviting. The only thing was that the downstairs had a mildew smell. We opened some windows and it helped a little.

We had such a great experience, Sand Key staff were friendly and communicative, had some trouble getting in because of a sticking lock and the professional, friendly service tech was there in under 10 minutes! Property was clean, comfortable, stocked with a few extra necessities, instructions and information binders were clear and helpful. Will absolutely make this our regular spot for our annual Port A gathering!

The house was nice but we had issues. The lower level and top level smelled musty and when we got home we had to even wash our clean clothes to get the smell out. The master bath toilet leaked water out of the bottom. This was supposed to be a dog friendly home but don’t bring your dogs unless you want to spend the entire time pulling goat head stickers out of their feet constantly! There is nowhere for your dog to potty where there aren’t stickers! Will not rent this house again.

The downstairs toilet leaking, parking tight, chemical smell caused sob/chest discomfort, back door keypad didn't wk, barbecue pit old & rusty - we went and bought one, but everything was BEAUTIFUL very clean, and spacious. :-) Owners came immediately when concern arose re the smell. They listened to our concerns and provided helpful tips.

We enjoyed staying on this property. The pool was way smaller than what we expected. The patio area is huge however and great for plating outdoor games. They have one grill but it is a really small grill. The refrigerators rake a long time to cool down and we were worried our food might spoil. I did communicate this to them as well as the other issues that arose. I didn't like the only way to communicate with them was via the app as response time seemed delayed. It's in a great location close to restaurants and grocery store. We hung out most upstairs as that area was roomier. The downstairs had two rooms which was perfect since my Mom can't climb stairs. We would stay here again because of how close it is to everything.

Family Vacay
We have been coming to Port A for years. As the family grew, we decided that we wanted the family to be all in one house. We have tried several houses and this one has been our favorite! There was plenty of space for everyone and having two kitchens and two living rooms was a big plus! The downfall was the pool was in the sun a good part of the day, so the water was pretty warm. (We were there in June) If the pool had a shade cover it would help. Other than that my family all agreed this was their favorite house we have stayed in. Thanks for a great vacation!

Great location, nice well kept property, well stocked with anything you’ll need during your stay. Our kids ranging from 1year-15 years old loved this home. It was very accommodating for 8 of us. 10/10 recommend!

Great Port A Beach House
We had a great time at this property. We rented some golf carts and they were perfect for getting us back and forth from the beach. It’s close, but it’s not an easy walking distance so I recommend the golf carts. They made things so much easier. The decor was super cute. My 5 year old was in mermaid heaven. The only thing to keep in mind is that the top and bottom level are separated by outside stairs so you can’t get to the other level from inside. Pros and cons with that. We had an issue with the hot water heater (it was a tripped breaker) but they got maintenance out the next day to fix it. The pool was a great addition and was a lot of fun with tons of outside seating. We had a great time on the island!

The house, location, & our stay was great! The only negative thing I have to say is the yard needed to be mowed & there were a lot of stickers. One of our family members stepped in the yard not realizing. Other than that, it was great.

Beautiful house. Needs little fixes.
Best things were the pool, 2 kitchens, double access to down stairs and the close drive to the beach. There were minor things that need to be improved but nothing we couldn’t resolve on our own. The not so great thing about this house is the slippery bath tub upstairs. My uncle slipped and hurt himself pretty bad. Luckily, there was no break. I would hope that they add some grid to it after our stay. Overall our stay was amazing, we had a blast and I would definitely stay again. Also, beware of back neighbor, she gets real annoyed about 8 pm.

Wonderful home made the entire trip even better
The house was wonderful , my children age 8 & 6 and my other guest ages 30+ spent the duration of our time at the house in the pool . It was a great way to pass the time relax and enjoy our vacation when not at the beach . The location was awesome anything we needed was less than a 3 minute golf cart ride away . And the rooms meet everyones expectations and much more !

The house was nice. Has plenty of room. Some downfalls. The bottom floor dosen't seem cool as the top floor. There a mat before you enter the back door where the pool is, 2 adults and 2 children slip and hurt themselves there. Bathtub are very slippery so becareful. The house does not have a dust pan so make sure you buy one. I didn't like the separation of the Cando, when it rained and we needed to go down or upstairs we got wet. The road the house sits on was a very busy road.Also I dislike the fact the every single time you needed to enter the key code for every entrance door. It was real hard for the little ones to go in and out. Other then that everything else seem okay. 4 star for me.

Great place had a fun time people watching on busy street only complaint downstairs space has very strong mildew odor. Manager was great to bring air fresheners but it was not enough to cover the smell. I’m very sensitive to smell so probably would not rent again.

We went to celebrate a family member who got married during COVID and family could not do anything. They like the coast so we celebrated in Port A. Property was as expected and the pool was an added plus.

Nauti Mermaid is for everyone
We had a large group with ages ranging 10-52 and everyone loved the property. The kids loved their own tv with Roku and the pool. The adults loved everything else.
We had a problem with check in bc their was a property emergency. I had to emailed and called bc we had no check in information 30 minutes up to check in time. When I called I was thankfully assisted by Adrianna who was very forth coming about the issues. We literally received check in information when we pulled in at 4:04 and someone from agency approached our vehicle. It was a Thursday in off peak season so we were a little disappointed we didn’t get at least an extra hour check in. I’m sure this was a rare occurrence. It wouldn’t prohibit us from renting again bc the property was beautiful.
