Your Choice. Peace or Chaos? You Will Want to Stay Here. Read on...

The east bank of Luxor (east side of the Nile is chaos. Constant horn beeping, congested streets with no sidewalks, choking pollution, hassles and hustles. The Rose Guest House, also known as "pharaonic rose" on Google Maps is the opposite. A very peaceful location with the clip clop of horse and donkey hoofs, clean air, gentle people and close to the important historic sites in Luxor. Valley of the Kings, etc are all within walking distance or a short taxi ride. The hotel is completely safe with an honest and trustworthy owner and staff. The rooms are clean and basic. Nothing fancy but comfortable at a great price. The owner had a taxi pick me up at the airport at a fair price which was a big help. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. I felt so fortunate that I decided to stay here for 10 nights compared to the chaos of the east bank. Yes, Karnak and the Luxor Temple are in the east bank but it's best to take a short taxi ride there from the west bank (pharaonic rose hotel) and avoid the tension of getting a hotel on the east bank.

Can't think of anything I didn't like. The location is excellent, the people super nice and it was a great value.

do not hesitate to book over there , you'll love it !

everything ; the kindness of the owner and the staff, their availability for us. regarding the rooms, they have all what ones need ; the beds are comfortable and the bathroom met our needs. food : the owner cooks 'with love' ; everybody eats the same and it's always excellent ! ask whatever you want and you'll get it. The fact that you meet a lot of people from different cultures , origins is great They all care about all what you need and make your dreams come true :-)

Sehr gute Ausgangslage

Man ist mitten im Dorf auf der Westseite unweit vom Tal der Königinnen und einem weiterem tempel von Ramses III. sehenswert. Karten gibt es am Office. Ballonfahrt organisiert der Besitzer...unbedingt zu empfehlen.

在旅途中认识善良的老板一家是最幸福的事

老板长得像拳王泰森！在民宿住的这几天老板一家都非常款待我们，早餐、晚餐都很丰盛，最幸福的就是每晚回院子，听老板一家人聊天，吃着他们做的当地特色美食！尤其太喜欢吃意大利面饭所以专门去后厨跟着学了！在住宿期间因为钱不够了还换了一些美金，汇率也不错。所有在Luxor的出行都是由老板来安排，省心又周到！司机大叔也很热情，路上专门买了当地的煮豆子给我们吃！希望这善良了一家人可以挣大钱！btw不敢坐热气球的可以早起到民宿楼顶，可以看着成片的热气球飞过你的头顶！

除了wifi有点弱，剩下没啥问题！

Peaceful stay

The location was perfect! The staff are very helpful. The owner helped us to arrange to rent a bike. The hotel and around it was the most peaceful spot in Luxor. We didn't want to leave! I'll come back here one day to spend more time in this peaceful village.

Bon séjour en général

L'emplacement, le jardin bucolique, les attentions des hôtes et le thé gratuit à volonté.

Le matelas n'était pas confortable, nous sentions chaque ressort, à tel point qu'à notre arrivée une couverture avait été mise sous le drap pour atténuer le tout. La chambre était également très mal insonorisée et nous entendions les travaux de la maison d'à côté que les hôtes font construire tous les jours à partir de 7h30 😔

Çok güzel bir deneyimdi.

Aşırı ilgiliydiler. Evimizdeymiş gibi hissettirdiler. Yapmak istediğimiz tüm etkinlikleri otel ayarlayıp yardımcı oldu. Yeri uzak görünebilir ulaşım için onlar yardımcı olup tüm imkanı sunuyorlar. Özel bot gezisi, balona biniş hepsini makul ücretlere otel ayarladı.

Akşamları oda biraz soğuk oluyordu.

Amabilidad

Las instalaciones no son las mejores ni más cómodas del mundo pero su personal es súper amable y eso hizo que la estancia en el hotel fuese maravillosa. Un buen desayuno que hace que empieces el día con energía. Puedes pedir cena en el hotel y está riquísima.

Not as comfortable as expected.

Close to the valley of kings and nice terrace. The host was kind and made sure my partner was okay when he was sick. He also brought us to the ferry and organized taxi to the airport.

We stayed a total of 3 nights and every night we would sleep with windows closed and everything closed; somehow mosquitoes would still make it into our room and wake us up in the middle of the night, several timea. The beds were not comfortable and at night sometimes they would play loud youtube music on the phones from the terrace that we could hear from our room. I’m sure it can be a nice place, but we personally didn’t have the best experience.

Eine Oase um sich wie zu Hause zu fühlen

Eine Oase in Trubel Ägyptens. Hier fühlt man sich zu Hause. Sehr gutes familiengeführtes Hotel. Sehr hilfsbereit bei jeglichen Fragen und Organisationen. Sie haben mir den Transfer vom Schiff zum Hotel organisiert. 1h später bin ich auf Erkundung der Sehenswürdigkeiten auf der Westseite gewesen, mit einem Fahrer über das Hotel organisiert. Am nächsten Tag eine Ballon Tour am Morgen und mittags eine Fahrt zur Nilfähre, von wo ich dann selbst das Ostufer erkundet habe. Nur eine kurze Whatsapp als ich wieder mit der Fähre zurück gefahren bin und schon hatte ich wieder jemand wartend um mich zurück zum Hotel zu fahren. Am Abreisetag die Express Version zum GoBus Bus. Auto zum Nil, Boot hat schon gewartet, ab auf die andere Seite. Abendessen im Haus verfügbar, authentisch und geschmacklich top. Alles zu fairen Preisen mit tollen Leuten, so dass man seinen Urlaub geniessen kann. Immer auch eine Einladung zum Tee und zur Unterhaltung mit dem Chef des Hauses und anderen Gästen. Es gibt auch eine Dachterrasse. Zimmer sind zweckmässig und habe gut geschlafen. Super Atmosphäre, wenn ich mal wieder nach Luxor komme, dann auf jeden Fall dorthin

Value for money. We loved it.

The location and staffs are excellent. Specially Jabal was out of the way. A very good human being who tries his best with his limited resources to satisfy the customer. Do not expect 3-4 star facilities. It’s like staying close to the nature in a village.

Très bien.

Le propriétaire était aux petits soins, très souriants et sa nourriture était excellente ! Rien à redire. Il est très gentil et essaye de tout faire pour nous mettre à l’aise.

La literie n’était pas confortable on sentait les lattes du lit ce qui fait mal aux os quand on dort. Malheureusement nous n’avons pas pris de chambre avec climatisation ce qui était notre erreur car il faisait très chaud même avec le ventilateur.

Pharaonic Rose lives up to its high ratings. Everything is quiet and peaceful. The perfect place to relax after sightseeing under the Egyptian sun. The staff are wonderful and welcoming. I never felt there was any need to worry about anything. All is taken care of instantly.

Like a Dream

Everything about the Pharaonic Rose was perfect. I spent some of the happiest days of my life in Luxor thanks in no small part to the Pharaonic Rose. They have a rooftop with a view of the cliffs and Medinet Habu. The seating area downstairs is shady and in an oasis of a garden. It's very close to Medinet Habu, but far enough away that it is very quiet. It was so nice to have a quiet and peaceful place to return to after the bustle of the tourist areas. The food was amazing. They would just pile heaps of delicious food in front of you. The breakfast was the best I had in Egypt and they can prepare lunch and dinner for you as well. They also organized very affordable transportation for reaching different sites in the area. The family that runs the Pharaonic Rose is extremely kind and welcoming. By the end of the stay I felt like part of the family and the Pharaonic Rose felt like home. To get all that for such a reasonable price is unbelievable! It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. If you are going to Luxor, stay here.

I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Luxor !

Everything has already been said in the other comments, I could not imagine a better place to explore Luxor from. The pictures on the Booking.com listing are realistic. The key phrase from the manager is "No problem." and it's true.

It's cheap but very nice accommodation with some drawbacks

Very helpful staff, good breakfast. The hotel manager can always help with any request: transfer, bike rental, activities around. Good food not only for breakfast is also served here. The location is nice and close to Kings Valley and other attractions

Water in the bathroom: a couple of times I found NO water at all, but it appeared in 5 min. The majority of the time water runs very slowly. For me, it was nearly impossible to wash my hair, so I tried to catch moments when the water pressure is sufficient for that.

Ideal for relaxing

Amazing view from the terrace, very close to the Valley of Kings. Lovely staff and other guests, they always offered us drinks, coffee and tea or even dinner that we didn’t prebook. The meals were great. It is an oasis in the middle of nowhere where you get to relax a lot.

Our driver couldn’t find the place, there is no sign outside the building.

Very friendly and honest staff and owner. Beautiful garden where they grow their own vegetables and herbs. Exceedingly tasty breakfast. I also rented a bike for a fair price and a taxi service was organized at a more than fair price. I can recommend this place very much! Excellent value for money.

The location is perfect if you want to have a break out of the crowded town. The guest house is really nice and welcoming. You can also have lunch and dinner. The place owner is also very kind and helpful !

Some details: Having shelves in the bathroom, and bed sheets would be a nice to have.

Staying on the West Side made visiting the sites especially easy. This Guest House was a very positive experience. The owner really went out of his way to make you feel welcome. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend going on a hot air balloon ride, This is best arrange from the hotel.

A relaxing authentic experience.

The place is really authentic and very relaxing. Gabalawy the owner is extremely nice and very helpful and always wearing a wide friendly smile on his face. The food is wonderful and tasty. The rooms are clean, nice and the beds are comfortable. Have been talking about this experience all the time since we left. Will definitely go there again.
