This recently renovated mountain home is the answer to a picture-perfect vacation! Inside Sunnyside offers a chef’s kitchen and generous seating and serving space. Enjoy not one or two, but three beautifully decorated gathering spaces. One of those gathering spaces includes foosball and air hockey! There are plenty of oversized TVs in comfortable spaces so separating the sports fans from the movies watchers is amazingly easy. Sunnyside provides lots of nooks and spaces for readers, nappers, and even serious card players. Five beautifully decorated bedrooms create privacy and extra, extra comfort. Outside Sunnyside presents spectacular opportunities for fun-lovers of just about every age. There is an onsite lake and kayaks for the adventurous ones in the gang. The new Amish built wooden playset is sure to provide hours of entertainment for youngsters. And of course, after a hard day of play, the outside hot tub will provide comfort for weekend warriors of every age! This home is perfect! Beautiful decor throughout. Its obvious that the owners have put love and thought into all the details. We have rented it a couple times now for a large family reunion. All the amenities are available. Very well stocked kitchen as well as extra linens & towels. I would definitely recommend.

You will not regret staying at Sunnyside. The house is beautiful, spacious, and well stocked. The location is peaceful and refreshing, providing the ideal retreat from life's hectic pace. There are a lot of stairs as the pictures show and of course the house could use a good cleaning but we will not hesitate to rent again. A truly wonderful family vacation.

This house was beautifully located and provided us easy access to the Wildlife Refuge for hiking. It was incredibly well stocked and well labeled and 11 of us had plenty of space for rest and play. The kitchen has everything you could imagine, and there was no need to call the rental agency for anything. We highly recommend this house to others.

We had a great time staying at this gorgeous property with 8 adults and 9 kids! We had everything we needed and knew who to contact if we needed something. The hot tub, pond, and beautiful scenery were all great perks! Thank you for allowing us to stay!

Something to do inside and out! We are family --Sunnyside pleases all ages. Love the open area for cooking, eating, games and relaxing. We climb up to Dolly Sods, go fishing and enjoy the hot tub. The owners leave thoughtful instructions to make our stay easy.

The location is lovely, peaceful and private. Great hiking right outside our door. Loved kayaking and sitting by the pond. Enjoyed the hot tub. Discovered a fantastic 4th of July celebration/fireworks in nearby Harman! So nice to have separate areas for kids to play and not disturb others. Very accomodating rental agency- they even mailed back a few items left in the dryer! Coffee pots had not been cleaned out (still had used filters in them) and kitchen trash had not been taken out. Otherwise,in great shape when we got there!

This was our second stay at Sunnyside. It has plenty of space for our large extended family to spread out and relax. The kids loved fishing in the catch and release lake and the lake is the perfect size for a kayak race. They have added a new fire pit area that was perfect to sit around late and enjoy the peace and quiet.
The house is very clean and has one of the most well stocked kitchens of any place we have stayed.

This home was one of our favorite vacation homes ever. It was roomy, very clean, well stocked with everything we might need (including a wonderfully well stocked kitchen), and was beautiful inside and out. The 5 bedrooms were supplemented with 2 extra living areas which can be used as bedrooms. One has a door, and the other has a curtain. There are labels everywhere to show where things belong and how everything best works. The outside is so much fun with kayaks for the pond, corn hole, a beautiful playset for the kids, a great hot tub, and lots of outdoor seating and tables. There are even extra folding chairs in the garage for extra seating. Check-in was a breeze as the realty company is located not far from the property, so we just picked up the keys on our way in. They were very friendly and gave us a map to the property in case our navigation didn't work (which it did-Apple maps). There were great activities close by. We visited in the summer (everything was so green!), and enjoyed hiking at Blackwater Falls SP as well as other waterfalls in nearby Thomas, riding the ski lift at Canaan Valley Resort for beautiful summer views, visiting caverns less than an hour away, and eating at wonderful, trendy restaurants in Davis and Thomas. One thing to consider when renting: our family loves keeping physically fit and exercising, so this was perfectly fine with us, but do be aware that there are a good number of stairs to navigate inside the home and off the back deck. Our family had a fantastic time and would love to visit this property again!

We’ve stayed in Timberline more than a dozen years. This has to be one of the best settings we’ve stayed at. The level lot with the backdrop of the pond is just magical. The home was clean and well stocked with all the necessary kitchen items for preparing big meals like our group does. Having essentially 3 master suites was a nice bonus.

Second year of spending Christmas here for our three families. Close to everything and plenty of space.
I wish there was an option between 4 and 5 stars as our only struggle is that we don't use as much of the space as we could because of the temperature regulation. The downstairs tends to be cold unless you have the upstairs too hot.
Overall we love it though and will be back next year unless our soldiers are deployed.

This home is stunning and equipped with everything you'll need for a fantastic vacation. The owners were very responsive and I enjoyed meeting them. Even though the weather wasn't great, we had everything we needed and wanted to enjoy our stay. My only complaint is with the management company. They provided wrong information by saying jetskis were allowed and there was a place nearby to ride them. After driving 3 hours with a jetski in tow, I was told the nearest place to ride them was 2 hours away. When I pointed this out misinformation the older lady in the office was extremely rude. She practically called me a liar and suggested that I didn't know the difference between a canoe, kayak and jetski. Which I do since I own a canoe, jetski and a pantoon boat. She even said maybe I called the wrong management office instead of just apololgizing for their mistake Overall, I would recommend this home. Just be aware of the information provided by this office and customer service are sub-par.
