The Space:
Your own private oasis! Malibu Sand Suite #13 forms part of a multi-unit complex compromised of 6 apartments and 1 main house. Thoughtfully curated for those seeking a quiet retreat.
This particular unit is a spacious 1 bedroom with 1 pullout sofa perfect for families or friends travelling. Comfortable King-size bed fully outfitted in luxurious, hotel-grade linens. Exquisite bathroom with graft rain shower, LED-lit vanity mirror, Toto Neorest toilet and everyday essentials.
Open living space, with a comfortable sofa and a flat-screen TV. Stunning kitchenette with a dining nook, mini fridge, microwave, gas cooktop, Breville toaster oven and Nespresso machine - we provide pods, creamers and sweeteners.
Quality finishes are found throughout the property, where you always have enough space to enjoy friends and family. Great location for long walks on the beach, paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, and sunbathing.
Free parking on-site on a first come first serve basis. The current beach access is located at the public access point located just a few hundred feet down.
Walk to the Malibu Pier. Steps away from Nobu, the SoHo House, and seconds away from the sand. The Malibu Country Mart is approx. 1.2 miles away and is reachable by foot or car. Whole Foods grocery store is nearby.

Please note that guests who are staying in the Malibu Sand suites do not have access to the elevated beach surface at Malibu Sand or the elevated beach surface at SA Beach which is the property that we manage next door. There is a house on the Malibu Sand property that rents completely separate from the suites. The elevated beach surface and the rooftop jacuzzi area are reserved for the house. If you'd like to rent a suite and have access to an elevated beach surface with sand and lounge chairs, please rent one of our SA Beach suites next door!
The Neighborhood:
Dubbed "Billionaire's Beach" by locals, Carbon Beach has become one of the most popular and requested beaches in Malibu. Known for its long sandy beaches makes Carbon perfect for long walks on the beach, paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, and sunbathing. You will be steps away from Nobu, the SoHo House, and seconds away from the sand. You can walk to Surfrider beach or the Malibu Pier from the beach access onsite, or you can walk a little further to the Country Mart for the best restaurants and shops in Malibu. There are always new shops opening nearly every day.

To maintain property and neighborhood harmony, we have important rules. Please read carefully.
1) No parties, visitors, or unapproved guests. Submit all guest names before booking. Government ID may be requested from the person who booked. A guest is anyone who will spend any amount of time at the property. Our strict guest policy ensures neighborhood peace and legal compliance. Exceeding capacity risks our permit, we may ask you to leave.
2) No pets allowed except for service animals as required by law.
3) No smoking, vaping, e-cigarettes, or similar (outside and indoors). Our state-of-the-art smoke detectors notify the fire department - $500 fee for false alarms or rule violations. City Code Section 41.50 B 18 b | High Brush Fire Zone | Prevent Wildfires | It’s the LAW.
4) Do not send mail to property before or after your reservation dates. If needed, send it to our office; we'll deliver to the property on your arrival day. We're not responsible for lost mail.
5) Quiet hours: 10:00pm to 8:00am to ensure peaceful atmosphere for all guests and neighbors. Property is located on Pacific Coast Highway. Guests are subject to hearing potential road noise and/or waves crashing.
7) Day of Arrival:
Let us know if you prefer self-check-in or a personal tour. Only the guest who booked can check in and must show their ID for security.
8) Check-In: We have a check-in window from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Early check-in is based upon availability and will need to be approved by our team. Please keep this in mind as the day of your arrival approaches. If you are arriving later than 6pm, please reach out to our team for approval.
Check-out: 10:00am.
9) When you are departing the property, please make sure that you do not leave anything behind. Our team is not responsible for Lost or Stolen Items. If our team finds a lost item, we will ship it back to the guest. The guest will be responsible for paying the shipping cost plus a $50 service fee.
10) Pre-Stocking: Choose from our available pre-stocking options with at least one week's notice. A $75 service fee applies to all requests.
11) Property is located on Pacific Coast Highway. Guests are subject to hearing potential road noise and/or waves crashing.
12) Parking:
There are three garage ports at the Malibu Sand property; however, only the second and third ports are for the guests staying at the Malibu Sand Suites. The second port can accommodate two vehicles and the third can accommodate one vehicle. So, there are a total of three spots. You will receive one parking pass and you cannot park in any of the three spots without the parking pass. If you are not able to get a spot, then you will need to park either on PCH or in the overflow parking lot above the complex that has D’amores pizza and PC Greens. Note that the handicap spot is ticketed by the police - as are all handicap spots in California. So, do not park there - or anywhere - without the relevant pass(es). The police will not hesitate to charge you +$500 for parking where you shouldn’t.
Cleanliness:
We take our cleaning seriously. You can trust that our homes are thoroughly deep cleaned between guest visits. All of our homes have white hotel-style linens, white towels, toiletries for our guests, and well stocked kitchens with high-end appliances. Amid COVID-19, our cleaning intensified: surfaces wiped with hot water and disinfectants. All towels and linens washed, regardless of appearance; many hotels don't. Door handles and high-touch spots get extra care. Staff wears masks, gloves, and shoe coverings. Our exceptional cleaning surpasses CDC standards.
This property contains an exterior camera at the front door which is motion sensored and is active during guests stay.

Overall, the room was clean & nice, Fridge was small. The greatest dissapointment was that there was NO balcony access or ocean view from the room. The ad made it look like there would be a common balcony for the guests. No, it was all boarded off. We had to go out of the room, down the stairs, accross the courtyard, through a coded gate, and down more stairs to the beach. We made the best of it though. False advertising for sure...

The pictures that were posted in the listing was showing beaches, ocean and sunsets. Our views were brick walls, a rusty Ladder and some grass and bushes. The apartment we were in was definitely not worth the hefty price we paid. We told the young women who took us to our room we request to switch to a different room with a view and she said she just works there,she would have to contact management. 10 minutes later she advised us there were no other rooms available. She showed us the door outside where we can get beach access. We checked it out and it’s a “wet beach” (no sand) and at the bottom of the stairs there were huge rocks that you would have to walk over to get to the ocean. We asked if there were beach chairs we could use and was told no. We seen lounge chairs next door to our building that were facing the ocean and asked if we could use those. The woman told us that is also there property but again she would have to check with management. Once again she got back to us and we were told we could not use them they were for the other property. We walked each of our four days there a half mile down on the main roadway to an access entrance to the beach with sand, so disappointing. I did receive an email name and address to converse with a manager. Our emails were useless and was told someone would call me tomorrow which never happened. There was a note to run the dishwasher before we leave, but we didn’t have one. Was this the wrong room they gave us? Not worth it!!

We visited Malibu to see our son compete in the Malibu Triathlon. Our stay was perfect, loved the location and property. It was very peaceful and right there on the beach. Staff were helpful and friendly and very accommodating. Our bed was so very comfortable which is very important. Will definitely stay here again!!

Very nice amenities in a five star location. Savannah was a pleasure to work with, the condo was clean , comfortable and on the beach. Easy walk to Nobu and many other spots in town. We look forward to staying here again.

We loved the room and the beach access...though not great for sunbathing, we did enjoy the surf from the rocks, and the top of the steps. Our host even provided som really comfy beach chairs.
This site is located in a really loud and crowded part of Malibu, which would probably be really exciting for young adults, not so much for someone wanting to get away from city life with a quiet day (or night) on the beach...so not necessarily a bad thing.
We thank our kind hostess for a wonderful stay!

My husband and I had the most amazing time in Malibu. The property was above and beyond our expectations. Prestige, clean and fantastic amenities. Mom/Daughter get away
My 18 year old daughter and I stayed at the Malibu property for a 5 day get away before she goes off to college. The property was beautiful, clean, next door to Nobu and the Malibu Pier. It was an easy drive to The Malibu Country Mart and Point Dume. Lillian, the property manager, was extremely helpful and always available. Though this exact property didn’t overlook the water, there is beach access in the complex. We didn’t book any excursions through the property agents but they did get us in touch with a boat charter (decided not to go). They were willing to help us with any activity we might have wanted and even offered airport pickup and drop off if we had chosen car rental through them (they would bring the car to the property). I will absolutely return to Malibu and use Stay Awhile Villas!

Great Location and Accommodations for Beach/Surfing/Hiking in Malibu
You will love staying here! Excellent property - very comfortable, attractive, high-end and right on the beach. It was super-easy to walk to Malibu first point to surf, or to just relax on the beach. The beach itself was relatively quiet and peaceful. The property managers were very attentive, bringing us chairs and umbrellas and responding to everything quickly. My only suggestion would be to send more details about the check-in and parking procedures in advance, as they were challenging to figure out on the fly.

This is a great place to stay and enjoy all the best places in Malibu. Efficient, well maintained, friendly staff who are helpful and responsive. The location cannot be beat, I walked right out the door onto the sand and saw the surfers, dolphins, pier and sunset!
