This superb cottage-style apartment enjoys a central position in the very heart of Ambleside, offering guests the opportunity of parking up for the week and exploring the southern lakes on foot, by bike or even by bus and boat. A stone’s throw from a variety of attractions and amenities, guests staying at Upper Sycamore Cottage can enjoy a game of mini golf, try indoor rock climbing and caving, or simply head to the hills and enjoy either your first or 50th trip up Loughrigg Fell, always an inspiring walk, whatever the weather.
Upper Sycamore Cottage is presented in a traditional style with comfortable furnishings, good quality beds and lots of helpful extras to ensure you get the most out of your self-catering stay. The owners have provided a useful collection of local walking books and maps, and a selection of DVDs if you fancy a takeaway and a movie night after a hard day on the fells. Set out across two floors, the accommodation is ideal for a smaller family or two couples looking for a quality base. There are views towards the Fairfield Horseshoe from the living room, and from the first floor bedroom there are views across the village to St Mary’s steeple. Shop 350 yards, pub 150 yards and restaurant 50 yards.
