Massanutten is the perfect mountain retreat for outdoor enthusiasts as well as those who just want to kick back and relax. A prime location that is perfectly situated between all the activities the resort has to offer. This luxurious resort home includes 5 beautifully furnished bedrooms that comfortably sleeps 12 plus 3.5 bathrooms.
Boasting over 3800 Sq Ft on 2 levels there is tons of room to bring all your family and either spread out or come together in one of the multiple great rooms.
Entering the home there is a large living space with vaulted ceilings, gas fireplace, sunroom, half bath, updated kitchen, dining area that comfortably seats 8, while the kitchen bar and table provide additional seating.
The main level features 3 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 - Master suite with king adjustable bed, sitting room with gas fireplace. Bedroom 2 - King adjustable bed and Bedroom 3 - is a Queen. These two rooms share a hall bath.
Lower level Bedroom 4 - Queen adjustable bed, Bedroom 5 - Queen and Full size beds. These 2 rooms also share a hall bath.
Need to work? No problem, there is an office area with a wireless multifunction printer. The wifi is 1.2 gig - fast and reliable. We enjoyed our stay last year so much that we returned for another family getaway this year. The house is exceptional and is perfectly designed to ensure adequate space for everyone in your group. From the moment you walk through the front door, you know you made the right decision. Bright, airy, open, modern, clean and perfectly stocked for your stay. The house is within a short drive to all the resort has to offer. This time around, I needed this getaway for some much needed rest and relaxation, so we chose to spend more time at the house to take it all in. It is truly a luxurious home. I should also mention that the owners are always so thoughtful and responsive to any questions we have during our stay. Thank you Sherry for hosting us again in your beautiful home!

We were well pleased with the property. There was plenty of room for the 10 of us. We really enjoyed the sunroom and with a tv in both living areas, we were able to watch what we wanted.

Sherry's home was perfect for our large family group who flew in from several different states for our daughter's college graduation from JMU. There was more than enough space for everyone to spread out when desired. Having multiple interior common rooms, the front porch and the garage with ping pong table gave us many options for spending time with family members. It was nice to have more than one large TV so groups could choose what they wanted to watch. The beds were comfortable as was the furniture. The kitchen was well stocked and overall the home was very clean. Sherry was very responsive and easy to deal with. She was very understanding and accommodating and check in could not have been any easier. The home made for a very comfortable and memorable stay for such a memorable event!

This home was perfectly appointed for 5 children and 6 adults! The kids loved the spacious downstairs while we adults were upstairs conversing. We skied and played at the Waterpark. Thanks so much!!!

We had a very nice stay at this lovely home within the Massanutten resort just minutes from the waterpark and ski area. The home was very comfortable and clean with lovely decor, wide open rooms and plenty of spaces to spread out and relax.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sherry's Massanutten home! This is our third year, and the house and property are still exactly as described. There was plenty of space for all of our family and friends to spread out, and also large areas for everyone to gather. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We didn’t have a chance to use the fire pit, but it was pretty much ready to go. The kids absolutely loved playing ping pong in the garage. We were able to spend time at our favorite local brewery, Cave Hill, which is just a few minutes away. We also ventured into Harrisonburg and checked out Brothers Craft and Restless Moons Brewing. Sherry was extremely attentive to our needs, and the check-in and check-out process was seamless. We will definitely rent again.

It is a beautful place. It is a great home for a large family. My grandkids loved the downstairs where they could play pacman, watch tv and have their own space. The sunroom was a great place to watch deer in the backyard. Sherry was wonderful to work with.

Easy instructions. Easy access super clean loved the community pool. House has everything we needed to cook and clean. Internet worked amazingly and the smart TVs were a wonderful touch. Lots of games to utilize. The sun room was our favorite spot. House was clean and large. The basement was the size of its own apartment and the basement has a huge TV with awesome surround sound so its an amazing spot to watch your favorite shows/movies. Really enjoyed the front porch too, it was so peaceful to drink coffee in the morning. I highly recommend this property.

This was the perfect home away from home that exceeded expectations! The house is spacious, very modern, bright (lots of windows), thoughtfully designed and decorated. It was so ideal for our family which consisted of three generations. The layout is absolutely perfect and offers more than enough space to spend time together. In addition to ping pong, our wonderful host also supplied several board games and the added bonus was the Pac Man game unit!! Overall, the house was very well stocked and that was a plus! I should also mention that I love the location of the home. It’s close to everything that the Massanutten Resort has to offer. Lastly, Sherry was the perfect host. While I did not experience any issues during our weeklong stay, she always replied promptly to our questions. Thank you for hosting us in your beautiful home. We are looking forward to our next visit!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in Sherry's gorgeous Massanutten home! This is our second time renting this house, and just as before, everything was exactly as described. All the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. There was more than enough space to spread out, but the large sitting areas made it easy for everyone to gather. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The location was close to the slopes, so taking our kids back and forth was quick and easy. Check-in/check-out was seamless. We definitely plan to rent again!

We had a great time. There is so much to do at the resort. The house was big enough for us. There was nine of us 7 adults and two children. The house clean, had all the linens provided and anything you could possibly need to cook with was in the kitchen. Everything worked. It was a nice quiet place. The host is always available for any questions or concerns we had. We will definitely be back.

The house is perfect for a large group. There were 8 of us with room to spare. It was very clean and comfortable. The view when you walk in is amazing with the stone fireplace as you can see through it to the sunroom/windows. The basement living area is huge with a comfortable couch and super large tv. Wish I could give more stars!! Great location, beautiful home, clean and spacious!! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas vacation at this lovely home. There was plenty of room to spread out and the owners provided a lot of amenities. To our surprise there was a humongous Christmas tree already decorated and lit in the living area which made our Xmas visit extra special. We would definitely stay at this property again and again!!! There is not enough space to describe my stay. In the words of the owner, great care is taken to maintain the property and it showed in every way. From the moment you walk in it feels like home. It wasn't just the two story entrance or the double sided fireplace, but even the welcome basket of goodies for the weekend spoke volumes and was a very nice touch, unlike any other property I've rented on the mountain. Very unassuming from the outside, but extremely spacious (beyond anything the pictures offer), well appointed, well decorated, comfortable bedding, and clean, clean clean!!!!
There is no rating above 5, but if there were this would be TEN!!!! Definitely would rent again and would offer that other rental properties take note - this place sets the bar very high and I would stay over and over!!!!

This home was absolutely perfect for our group. Three families came for a fun JMU tailgate/football weekend. It could not have been any more fun. The basement is such a wonderful and warm hangout for game playing on the table and hangout on the wonderful sectional watching sports... The layout was fantastic for our group of parents and JMU sons & daughters. The primary bed & bath is amazing and the two other bedrooms upstairs are perfect to share the ample second bathroom. The firepit was such an added bonus as well. We would love to return this winter for a ski weekend if available. Thank you for providing such a perfect home and setting for our memorable weekend getaway.

If I could rate this house more than 5 stars I would - this home is absolutely amazing! It was very clean and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. My fiancé and I rented this house with friends so we could go to the JMU football game. The house is in a perfect location being only 20 minutes from campus, plus you get to enjoy the endless amenities on Massanutten's resort! The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed to cook all of our meals. The dining table was large enough to seat all of us and the basement entertainment area was a huge hit! There is plenty of space for large groups so you never feel too crowded. The hosts were very responsive to any questions we had and made sure we had the best stay possible. We will definitely be renting again in the future!

Great family place to stay.
Our grandson graduated from JMU and we had multiple family members coming into town. This worked very well. The house was very nice and it was just like it looks in the pictures. We enjoyed the peace of the mountains. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it.

The perfect getaway
WOW!! is the best way to describe this home. So clean, spacious and well appointed in every room. Our group of 8 ladies had a wonderful long weekend. The kitchen is well stocked as we made all of our meals with no problems at all and were able to sit together at the dining table. The attention to details kept amazing us.. with sound machines in every bedroom and TV’s though out the house. The owners have thought of everything. Plus very good communication with them. I loved the sunroom for morning coffee and the front porch for get togethers outside to enjoy the peacefulness. A large game room with a big game table plus the big screen TV kept us entertained. We are already making plans to come back soon.

As a group of eight we were able to spread out into the different corners of this house. Enjoyable and relaxing. Most things we needed were provided but kitchen was a little sparce for true cooking. Cleanliness was adequate. We would rent again.

Beautiful home, Fantastic Host, Area lacked diversity
This home is absolutely stunning! The hosts Sherry and Ron have gone to great lengths to make the property as warm and inviting as possible. From multiple top-of-the-line entertainment centers to a cozy fire pit and ample room to spread out and relax; this property is perfect for large groups and families with children of all ages. While the home itself was amazing and the hosts wonderful, the same could not be said for the town of McGaheysville. All of the members of our party were African American and we found ourselves subject to uncomfortable stares and disparaging comments on more than one occasion. Luckily for us, the property was so amazing and had enough activities (they even had board games!!)
that we were able to spend most of our time at the house and still have a great time!
