About this house rental
Get ready to escape from the Hustle and Bustle of life to unwind and enjoy simple days of fun in the sun as a family beach vacation or a bay/gulf fishing trip. This canal waterfront is home to the perfect blend of both, BEACH and BAY, with immediate access to bayside fishing & crabbing here in Treasure Island Community! Island Tyme is just a 2-3 minutes stroll away from the Treasure Island pedestrian beach access point or a leisurely drive to Surfside-Galveston activities; Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens, Rainforest Cafe and Pleasure Pier,.
Bring your boat and/or jet skis and store them in the covered boat slip at the property. Community boat ramp is available for guests' use located at the front of Fathom Dr., as is the lighted community Fishing pier that is 100 yards from our property. Fishing and crabbing is well known in the adjacent Christmas Bay.
No boat, no worries, as you can fish directly from the dock, in the back of the house for the opportunity to catch speckled trout, flounder, redfish or do some crabbing from the canal that feeds into Cold Pass. There’s a green LED flood light for epic night fishing.

First of all the owner's are so pleasant and informative. Its not one time that they didn't respond back to us about vacation questions and any other questions. Nancy was so kind, very understanding of my medical issues. I just want to tell everyone please rent this home, its beautiful, comfortable and its decorated very nice. We had some difficulties with setting the A/C thermostat, but Nancy answered very quickly and had us knowing what to do in no time.

This cute house is perfect for day trips to the beach and within a good proximity to go back and forth several times a day for breaks. Nice open floor plan to visit with family and plenty of amenities to keep you entertained. Thanks for the wonderful stay- we'll definitely be back.

We have stayed in Galveston a few times, and our last experience was horrible (not this properly). We found this property for summer 2022 and crossed our fingers and hope we would not have the same experience we had in the past with a different property.
FANTASTIC!!!!
Our family of 5 had THE BEST TIME!! Everything was just as described, the owner responded super quick to any and every question or email or comment that we had. We were able to fish right from the house, and then drive a very short distance and be on the beach (the beaches were NOT crowded and super were clean). The house was immaculate, the neighborhood was quiet and safe.
On about the second night we stayed, we were already looking at future dates at the same property. :)
Heads up - you are about 30 miles from a really good grocery store, and about 15 miles from the nearest gas station (or pay the toll to cross over San Luis Pass, both ways). The owner definitely lets you know this ahead of time, and advises you to come prepared. But, we had accidentally left a bag of food at home and making a single trip to H-E-B was no big deal. There are not any restaurants nearby either. But that’s what you get with staying in this area. It is meant to get away from the touristy island experience. And that’s what we were looking for – peace and quiet, fishing, beaches, and not too many people. You don’t need restaurants with their incredibly stocked kitchen and propane grill on the back. They even provided us with an extra propane tank just in case.
You will not be disappointed with your experience at this property, with the property owners, or the neighborhood/location!

The house is beautiful and comfortable. We love to fish, but didn’t have much luck in the canal (the fish are there, we could see them), there was also an abundance of bait fish in the water… we still enjoyed trying. It was a great stay and we definitely recommend it.

We had an amazing stay! The amenities were numerous-from the welcome basket to the extra beach chairs and toys. The owner was available and responsive every time I reached out for a question . The house was immaculate and so comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

Just right for our family, quiet and relaxed location
This was a great relaxed family vacation home. All the amenities were nice, the fish we caught were mainly catfish, toad fish, rock crabs, blue crabs, and sea snails. Thanks for the having things we needed in the pantry and board games.

Great weekend rental
Home was very comfortable and well appointed with just about anything you could want to make your stay enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again. Only reason not to give 5 stars is the A/C had a hard time keeping up so we would sweat a little while sleeping. Took 3 days to get the temp below 75 but other than that it was a wonderful place to stay.

Perfect Stay at a Perfect Place
Nancy and Tom have put a lot of effort in making this house a perfect place to stay. My family thoroughly enjoyed our time there and it couldn't be more happy. If you like night fishing there is a big green light out in the deck that could be turned on. There are built wooden seats on the deck that you can sit and fish. You will be happy. We loved all the amenities the house has to offer. A definite yes and this house is very high on the list for a next stay.

Quaint Quiet Gem
We found this gem for a quick get away for Spring Break 3.5.22-3.9.22. We had the whole neighborhood and Island to ourselves. This is the place to come is you want a more remote location without the hustle and bustle. Great for quality family time, games, fishing, and to "turn off" the busy-ness of life. Kitchen was fully stocked, house was nice and open and not crowded with furniture.

Clean and Quiet with fishing dock
Pro: Clean and Quiet. Kitchen fully stocked and check in/out was easy and a breeze. Fishing was fun.
Con: Not a lot of options for food in that area, and the closest restaurant that's referenced in the pamphlet is closed. No real easy path to beach. , we drove towards Galveston and drove to one of the public beaches (there's plenty to choose from). The night fishing lights that's part of the property was not working and was told that prior guest had disconnected the night lights and an electrician could not come out to fix it on short notice. After talking to Stan, the neighbor, he basically said the lights sometimes work and sometimes don't and didn't really believe that the last renters disconnected the green light. We were bummed that there was no green light for 'epic' night fishing as this was one of the reasons my wife chose this spot.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. I would rank this at a 3.5 stars.
