Had a wonderful stay. Cabin was clean and well equipped, easy check in process, easy communication with owner and cute touches throughout! Highly recommend.

Great cabin that is very well equipped and close to everything Beech Mountain has to offer. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped! Lora was a pleasure to deal with and her pride of ownership really shows! We will definitely be back!

We arrive late at night, so it was a little bit difficult to find the property but directions were very good. Property was very nice with streams on each side which was very delightful. Deer came by one day. We are big fans of the surrounding area so this was a chance to spend a few days there. Thanks for the good experience.

What a wonderful home! This is not just a rental house, but truly a home. Lora has this place set-up for comfort and ease, making the vacation all the more special. And her communication with me ahead of and during the trip was fantastic. It’s stocked with everything you need, they’ve labeled everything and have instructions on how to find and use so many things around the house. Not to mention, even all that you need for the furry friends!
The house is tucked back into Beech on a dirt road so it’s a bit remote but it has the BEST backyard, especially for kids and dogs! Mountain homes don’t usually come with this luxury, but it made the trip - awesome fire pit, landscaping and creeks in either side of the property.
Truly a wonderful rental experience!

To begin with, this cabin is exactly as pictured, however, pictures do not convey the feeling of welcome when you walk thru the door. From the updated furnishings, the well stocked kitchen, baths and bedrooms, to the local artisan artwork and crafts that are carefully placed throughout, not one detail has been overlooked for the comfort and enjoyment of the guests. Even the dog had everything he needed and more!!
The view of wildlife from the elevated deck was amazing. We were fortunate to see a large bear amble down the road in the middle of the day in complete safety We also had visits from many deer, turkeys and groundhogs. We enjoyed a fire in the big backyard fire pit area in comfortable Adirondack chairs. Our group of friends enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the creek so much we only left for a few hours each day to visit Beech Mountain’s restaurants and shops, Coffey Lake Park, Banner Elk and the Bark Park which were all close by.
From the moment we received the reservation confirmation to the day of departure, the owner was always available to answer every question or concern we had. She provided information we didn’t know we needed, but it turned out to be valuable in navigating our way to the cabin and throughout the Beech Mountain and Banner Elk areas. We highly recommend this cabin and are all ready planning a return visit for sometime this Fall! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us, Lora!

From our initial interest in this property, the owner has been most attentive and most helpful. We decided to take our grandson skiing for the first time at Beech Mountain NC.
We are so very thankful to have found the Charter Hills house. Since this was our first house rental experience, we were so very pleased with the owner's assistance and attention to every little detail.
She left us a welcome package which completely. took us by surprise. Such a thoughtful treat.
I cannot speak highly enough about the house itself. It is magnificent. There are 4 large bedrooms (2 with bathroom), another 1/2 bath, a gorgeous mountian view from every room in the house. A beautiful loft with Foosball table and sitting room.
When I say the house had everything.
paper products, Laundry/dish soap washer/dryer, full kitchen...ice maker, books about the history of the house and surroundings, shovel(yes, we needed for snow ♡), salt for driveway, 2 fireplaces, a fireplace, etc. I could go on and on..
every room was more beautiful than the other and extremely clean.
Thank you Lora for sharing this beautiful home with us. I can't thank you enough for covering every little detail for us.
Needless to say I would highly recommend this property to anyone.
5 stars for sure!

awesome weekend on beech mountain with some friends!
This place was AWESOME. Some friends and myself were looking for a place with a decent amount of room to stay for the weekend. The house was very clean upon arrival. There was five of us and we felt very comfortable with the amount of room in the house. Could definitely fit a couple more people. The kitchen was very nice and easy to cook in. Lots of kitchen supplies to make meals. The grill outside was also a nice addition as we cooked BBQ chicken. The owner of the house has a book with information about beech and some of the decorations in the house. If you’re trying to figure out what to do at beech the owner has a lot of things to try out in the info book. A few antique items as decorations and it was pretty cool. The location was great. Not far from the resort or the little beech mountain town. Gravel roads fortunately were level. You won’t want to take a sports car there but any other car will work perfect! We all drove SUVs but you could definitely take a sedan like a Camry or something. The fire pit was AWESOME! It’s very well done and there was a ton of firewood provided for us. One cool thing about the drive into the house was all the deer and wildlife that we saw driving on the roads to the house. Probably saw 15 deer with a lot of them being little baby deer. Every time we left we saw more deer and they’re so cute friendly. Awesome visit! Would definitely stay again!

Disappointed
Location of property required travel onto gravel dusty and twisting roads, parking was a steep gravel driveway, cars traveling on the road kick up dust onto the deck which faces the road. Numerous other disappointments encountered during our one month stay.

Cozy cabin
Tue house was in good shape, clean, and well furnished. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and dishes. Just a few minute drive to the ski lodge. I would recommend this place to anyone and will likely stay here again if we return with a similar sized group.

Awesome Stay!
First of all, the communication between owner and myself was second to none. Combine the thoroughness and value of response time with the accommodations, made this stay for our family a 5 Star experience!
Loved the house as it was very comfortable and had anything you need to make your stay wonderful. Let’s start with the beds… awesome! Had the same expensive mattress that I have at home! The house also was stocked with paper towels, toilet paper , soaps and towels and bath cloths that you would need with any stay. The kitchen was equipped with all sizes of pots and pans, plates, glasses and cups. And a great grill outside to prepare those steaks or burgers you want to have. The furniture is ver nice and of great quality too. Heating and cooling was easy to balance to all of the rooms and a couple of fireplaces to give you an extra bump of heat if you need it or just want the ambiance. Lastly, the owner has everything labeled so you don’t have to guess which light switch goes to which light, how to control temps, or where things are stored.
And if you have pups, it’s a dream place equipped with bowls, crates, doggie towels etc., Be respectful of the rules so that they will continue to offer this, because ours had a ball.
During our stay we had a snowstorm that “snowed us in” and temporary lost power! With the fireplaces, gas cook tops and grill, we didn’t miss a beat. We used ROKU and logged into the various services and watched movies in front of the fire and prepared an awesome meal.
The location is most convenient to Beech Mountain but Sugar isn’t that far either. We skied both while there. There may be a little more “runs” at Sugar but the location has a nicer look at Beech. Banner Elk which is in the middle of each, had some gray Restaraunt too. (Banner Elk Cafe in Banner Elk and the Brick Oven at Beech were great and the atmosphere was fun!
The snow challenged our travel for the one who didn’t drive a 4 wheel drive so I would recommend driving a 4 wheel drive but we did just give! The 17 deer we saw as we came into the neighborhood welcomed us too!
You’re going to have a great time here!!

This is a beautiful, peaceful cabin for our family to enjoy and relax. Conveniently located close to Beech Mountain ski resort and the Town of Beech Mountain.
Great for skiing, cooking and spending time with family.
I highly recommend.

Beautiful cabin and great location
Wonderful place to spend Thanksgiving holiday with family! The house is decorated adorably and even included Christmas decorations already. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and our daily visits from the deer were an added treat. The beds were very comfortable, ample bedding and bath towels, etc. Would highly recommend this and look forward to a return visit

The cabin is very nice, the kitchen is well stocked. Good location but not much a a view. The microwave didn’t work while we were there and although they sent someone to look at it, it wasn’t fixed. Also, there is no bunk bed in one of the bedroom. Not a problem for us, but it could be misleading. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Definitely Returning
We had such an amazing time on our trip! We had two families in our group coming from different states and Joan was so accommodating to our plans! This is the perfect place to stay with families, we really appreciated that the kitchen had everything you could need and the fire-pit in the back made our mountain experience. We have already recommended and will definitely be returning!

The cabin was great other than being on a gravel road. One of the bedroom doors would not close. The house was very clean and neat.

December trip
Our stay in Beech Mountain, NC was a dream vacation!!! As we drove up to the cabin we had spectacular views! We saw so many deer and beautiful trees! The cabin was absolutely perfect, from the 2 remote start fireplaces to the gorgeous wood floors...I was in heaven. My kids loved the bunk beds and had a blast having the whole upstairs to themselves! We cooked full meals most nights and had everything we needed in the kitchen. With such a short drive to Sugar Mountain we had plenty of time to go snow tubing and still have time in the day to sightsee and relax! I would recommend this cabin and give it a 5 star rating! We hope to stay again sometime, but for at least a week! My 3 year old keeps asking when we are going back to our “new house”!! If you want to relax, explore, and enjoy a picturesque mountain town then this place is for you!

Great house and great property! Loved the hiking trails near the house!
Great place to cook a Thanksgiving meal with our family! Enjoyed the scenery on the orange trails with children and grandchildren ! Close enough to the Mast General Store and Tweetsie Railroad for a fun outing! The kids loved the 5 to 6 deer in the yard every morning and seeing them throughout the neighborhood. Enjoyable property for a family vacation!
