Just after explaining the reason for visit to area to front desk was recent death in the family I get put next to the elevator. Sorry but not really worth the $$$ for an off season overnight.

Very nice staff and great location for beach and restaurants. Room was on a busy road and was very noisy all night and early morning. Unfortunately we had no hot water for over 20 hours after arriving due to plumbing issues. Eventually got fixed and staff sorted it to our satisfaction

The staff there was SUPER friendly and nice. Arriving and parking ($22/day) was super smooth, they have covered and uncovered spaces. The check-in was super fast. It is a nice place, they made their best effort in updating it, I think it was OK. The bathroom was ultra small and could use a deep shower/tub cleaning. The carpets in the room and general areas do not give a great impression in terms of freshness/cleanliness, but everything else was OK. We had a loft room, the temperature was OK however there was only a tiny fan all the way up in the ceiling, wonder how that would work if it was summer time. The bed was comfortable, a lot on the way softer side, the pillows were grainy and quite uncomfortable though. The hotel location is good for night dining/drinking, visiting the Marina, the beach or even walking to Venice beach. Despite being on a main street it was not loud at night, you could only hear the cars go by if the sliding balcony door were opened. I would stay there again if in that side of town.

The cost for this property is not right. The rooms have been slightly updated but feel like an hourly hotel at best. It does not feel like a beach side inn or an accommodation worth over 150 a night. Each night we paid over 250 plus for this I would recommend going with one of larger hotel chains near by that actually have amenities. The draw of this hotel is its location and if it was updated in a more boutique manner with some amenities I would say it’s worth it but based on the rooms and building interior. Example next to our room was a storage center with all the extra items shoved in they didn’t even conceal this. It added to the cheapness of the place. Plus the lack services it’s just not worth the price. We love to support smaller chains and boutique hotels which what we did for the half of trip and were very satisfied this one does not measure up.

Close to Venice Beach and many places to eat. Very walkable. Easy to get to. Dated, but clean and had a refrigerator and coffee supplies.

The Inn at Venice Beach is a cute former apartment building that is a nice quaint hotel with an excellent location

Easy check in, spacious clean room, great location. Only drawback for us, and it’s minor, unless you’re used to city noise as background, our room which faced the street was pretty loud all night as cars went by.

The room was adequate. my problem was the high price, and the hidden cost of parking $24/day I picked this as the cheapest place near Venice.

Front desk was very kind and helpful. Helped store our luggage’s while we waited for our room (which they let us an early check in - much appreciated after long travel!). Would definitely stay again, room was much bigger than expected and clean. Super impressed.

Great little boutique hotel, friendly service, large rooms, clean, very close to the beach and lots of restaurants. Beds & pillows are on the softer side, very comfy unless you like firm. Some noise transfer from upper floor, so recommend requesting top floor if you want conplete quiet.

I have travelled and stayed in Hotels in over 50 countries. It’s very rare that, I encounter dismissive and irresponsible managers. When smoke alarm went off at 2 am and we eventually disconnected it and took it to the lobby because no one was answering the call. I was told by the manager he had seen someone smoking in the morning. Such a pathetic comment instead of apologising. No toilet role or tissues.

Really nice hotel with a great location. Simple and basic but safe and convenient.

The lady on front desk was kinda rude. But very close and accessible to the beach. Also liked the environmental besides the homeless people which are very annoying.

Great location within walking distance to Muscle Beach, Santa Monica Beach and peer. Lots of excellent restaurants and coffee shops. The area seemed safe and walkable along the canals and surrounding area

Hotel was nice and in a great location. LA on the other hand was grim. We were hassled a lot, including at our table in a restaurant. Not the hotel's fault though. Service was very good.

Everything was great. Only regret: drinking the bottled water in the room. It’s deceiving because they place it near the ice bucket and it looks like it’s complementary but I received a bill after I got home that it was five dollars a bottle. Mind you, I had already gone out of my way to buy water from the store so that I would have water in the room. I didn’t think twice about drinking the bottled water because it’s quite typical and standard for hotels to provide a couple complementary bottles. But no, these were in fact five dollars each and they’re not even sealed because they are refillable for less waste. So five dollars for 12oz of tap water. Ludicrous.

Staff was friendly and very helpful when we got stranded due to flight delays. I was travelling with a 5 y.o and landed in L.A at midnight only to find out that my flight was delayed and with not much help from the airline we got stranded, hotel was able to accommodate us as best as possible in a very stressful situation. Forever grateful.

Weekend getaway. We arrived a couple of hours early and were able to get a room right then. The staff was friendly and helpful. I read a lot of reviews about this hotel and I must say any of the negative comments are not warranted. I can’t think of one thing that I didn’t like about this place. The parking was convenient and reasonable. Comfortable beds and great location. My husband liked it and he’s picky!

Cute unique property. The only negative was the loft was extremely hot upstairs and extremely cold downstairs. Otherwise, great place to stay when planning on going to Venice beach.
