First room we were given, right as soon as you opened the door you were hit with a big stain on the sofa with even bigger white stains under the cushions. The lamp had stains on it too. The room was next to the freeway so we asked for another room. Second room was cleaner and a bit quieter. The toilets was so short that your hand hit the water every time you tried to clean yourself. We only had one door on the rusty closet. Management should walk these rooms once in awhile. The upside were the employees. 5 stars to all of them.

I stepped away to grab some supplies. When I came back, all the parking spots were taken. I asked the receptionist if they have an overflow parking area and they do not. They suggested parking across the street at a furniture company property but the response I hear was too confident. I wasn't the only one looping around the hotel trying to find a spot. Luckily I spotted someone leaving and snatched it. As for other guests they were still looking.

It was a nice room. The property was nice. What I didn’t was no room service. You had to schedule a day for room service. The air conditioning leaked all over the floor the carpet was soaked. We had to wear shoes all the time.

Room not clean, layers of dust on furniture. Old saggy bed, flat pillows. Very basic worn out furniture. Our room had no natural sunlight as it was looking right into the wall and the rooftop. I’d call it a dormitory. Hugely overpriced for the 4th of July weekend, but very limited local hotels at the needed location, hence this stay at Residence Inn. If you can drive further towards Portland, you’d get much better accommodations.

The accommodations were adequate. We only were staying because of renovations being done on our house. I had read some reviews so I knew the decor is dated, but it met our needs and saved us ~$100 a night so we were fine with that.

I booked a suite and online click on the picture of the room and booked it and then when I checked in it was the wrong room wasn't happy asked to switch was told they couldn't because they were booked went online still said available and didn't get a refund for nothing not happy

The staff was nice but the room wasn’t cleaned well. I expected more attention to detail but at least the bed was comfortable. I think they were under prepared for the amount of people that were there for conferences and sports tournaments.

I was told on the phone by someone at Marriott that the Scarborough location had a generator. I checked in because I lost power at my home. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told that they in fact did not have a generator and they hotel ended up losing power for most of the next day. The person at the Marriott 800 number gave me the wrong information. Do better Marriott.

Very nice staff. Room was VERY smelly with cleaning products. Smelled like there hasn't been fresh air in that building in years. Also the pool was too cold for even my kiddos to swim in :( Front desk staff was very nice, though.

Location was easy to find and near everything - restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, etc. It was clean and quiet, the staff was friendly and helpful. Amenities were great, they had free breakfast in the morning and cookies & hot chocolate at night.

The staff was very nice but there was not one extra pillow in the entire hotel? The layout of the hotel room has a nearly empty living room- maybe for a family of six provide more than a 2 seat couch and chair? Also, the room has a full fridge , dishwasher, oven and microwave but one dish, cup and bowl. It just came across as really cheap. Also, the pool is in place but the hot tub has been removed. That is always a welcome feature for parents when kids use the pool. You can tell there was a hot tub previously There that has been replaced by a group Of loungers. Finally, the couch was a sleeper but was stained and kind of gross.

I am so glad this is the hotel that I chose to stay in. I am a native of Maine and was here for 10 days visiting family. By the sixth day of my stay here I think everybody knew me my name. Every time I came back they greeted me, and every time I left they say goodbye have a great day. It was a very comfortable feeling. There was always a very nice breakfast in the morning. Anything I asked for for the room they were more than glad to bring it to me. The housekeepers were very friendly. The grounds were very clean and the hotel was very clean. When I come back to Maine I am definitely going to stay here again. I had a sweet which was very comfortable. They have a little grocery store in the hotel, and a very large grocery store across the street. Was definitely worth staying at. I stayed alone and I was very comfortable and not worried about being alone. I had requested a room on the first floor near the front desk so I would feel safe, they accommodated me with that.

Overall clean and quiet, not charmed that the front desk staff person- man working on weekend during the day) gave my 82 year old mother a hard time about getting an additional room key when all her ID indicated she was a rightful room resident. He was sarcastic with me (daughter) when I followed up on it. Most of the staff bent over backwards to be helpful.

Our first room was filthy. I like to santize our rooms upon arrival and the amount of dirt that was found was unexceptable. My sons feet were black from all the dirt. There was pee in the floor in front of the toilet. There were hairs in the bed and tub. Vents were filthy. Pillow in closet for pull out couch was dirty. Front desk said they didn't have another eoom then after I pushed they called someone and suddenly found a room. Second room was cleaner but the toilet would pump every 15 minutes. There was also a fan in that bathroom that would never stop. Pool was closed or construction zone for our entire stay. Staff at breakfast were the only redeeming quality at this place. I have pictures o can forward.
