We did an overnight in Blue Ridge. Most close by hotels were at least double the price of the Reid Ridge Lodge, so we decided to give it a try and we were glad we did. Granted, decor and furniture is a little tired but the room was clean and the mattress was comfortable which are the most important things to me. If I were to be doing another overnight in Blue Ridge I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

It hurts a little to rate this hotel as a 3 for comfort. Everything was great. The staff was very helpful. However, there seems to be little or no sound insulation between rooms. The couple next door left their TV on all night. When they were awake, we could hear them talking and almost make out what they were saying. We didn't complain because I didn't think they were talking loud or playing their TV too loud. They could probably hear us too. Also, I didn't want to relocate in the middle of the night. Anyway, it was not a restful night. I mentioned it at checkout and the clerk was apologetic but that was it.

Not too bad of a place. It was clean. Looks like they've updated a little. Bed was really squishy and pillows were pretty thin. Walls are definitely thin, you will hear your neighbors and their tv!!

This is an older hotel with no elevator. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Basic hotel room.

Everything was fine with one exception, the manager was not very accommodating and had an aggressive attitude.

I travel almost every week for work. I took the family apple picking in blue ridge. I have never had a front desk, assistant that was more friendly or helpful. In her helpfulness, she did allow me to borrow a pair of pliers in order to adjust the temperature in both my room and my kids room. The knobs were missing on the wall units and you cannot turn them unless you had a pair of pliers. Several of the outlets were found and so old that the plugs would not stay in there to charge your phone. I will say that the hotel is done a good job updating the interior of the rooms with lap board siding. The rooms were clean.

The room was clean and inviting. TV channels fantastic. A/C worked very nice. Lots of pillows on the bed, white sheets nice and crisp. Front checked us in 2 hours early.

Could hear people in rooms on both side of us. Shower heads hanging by a wire. Where shower head should be cut my arm as it’s only part of holder. Hotel was loud most of the time. It was a horrible experience

Room was nice, has rustic lodge look. Fixtures in bathroom need to be updated. Mattress on bed was not very comfortable. For one night stay it was worth the price.

There was a dampness in the room. I visited another room and it smelled of mold and powder. In our bathroom there was some black mold in a corner Room was attractive quilt on bed was dingy looking. It needs some care and upkeep

Was very disappointed in this stay. Room was clean for the most part although we did find a bug in the very dirty coffee maker that we tried to use before check out. Bed was “OK” but not very comfortable. The worst was the door to our room would not latch unless you slammed it with all of your strength which would disturb all of your neighbors. We reported this to the front desk and their response was “sorry”! We did not get to eat breakfast due to having compassion for our neighbors and not wanting to wake them up slamming our door.
We had no access to local Tv only free internet tv stations so we could not watch the live football games.
Then we were woke up at 830am by an employee coming into our room because “they thought we had checked out”
Overall very disappointed at this stay and would not stay again

This was much more affordable than any other places around, including small airbnbs. We went elsewhere for breakfast there wasn’t much offered at the hotel, but especially for the price, we didn’t mind. Overall it was super clean, and a very nice place to stay for the night! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area!

Reid Ridge Lodge was friendly and comfortable, clean and well upkept. Only thing was the knob on the air-co had broken off. Needs fixing.
Otherwise great for the money. I would return.

Cozy room, very clean. Beds are great if you like them FIRM, which I loved.
The firepit and lounging chairs made a great place to sit and relax.
Only issues were no knob to adjust the thermostat and the cold water handle came off the sink.
Staff was super nice!

Beds were firm, rooms were somewhat updated but rustic. Could have used a good cleaning, was very dusty around baseboards and carpet and bed had hairs all in it, animal and human too. Luckily we were only staying for one night and brought our own bed blanket.

Great place. Clean and friendly. A bit noisy (can hear voices in next room). The breakfast was lacking — they ran out of coffee. But great place for the price.

Cute little place for a short stay. Was clean enough but I didn’t pay attention and this property does not have an elevator…I had just had knee surgery so it was a little difficult but my fault for not paying attention! Breakfast was advertised but not available…small lobby area has a couple of seats and a few pre wrapped danishes

Stay was a 9 out of 10 for me. It would be a 10 if the beds were a little more comfortable. It was too hard for my liking but overall the property was excellent. Don’t let the low price compared to other hotels in the area fool you. The night manager lady was so sweet and helpful. I would stay here again.

I got eaten up by bed bugs. I called the lodge and left a voicemail but no response. Expedia is working to get a refund but they have gotten a lot of pushback from the lodge. From reading other Google reviews, it appears my efforts are not alone. It's cost me time and money to visit doctors for the bugs and exterminators for preventative control.

I’m not going to totally trash this hotel. It was a pleasant stay overall, there were just some things that made it less than ideal. I had to heat up my dinner in the lobby because the only microwave was in there. No big deal, but my room smelled like someone smoked a pack of cigs and then sprayed febreeze to try to cover it up. The walls were thin, I had to turn on the TV to drown out the noise from my neighbors. Most everything was clean except the floor. It was kind of nasty. But, the workers were really nice and helpful. I had to leave early before breakfast, so the k-cups and coffee machine in my room were a nice touch. Just don’t look at the pics online and get a false idea of what this place is (like I did). I think it was a very nice place at one point that has just never had any work done. And it needs some pretty badly.

The people was nice very friendly, the room was okay but there was a lot wrong with the room, the carpet needed cleaning and the sheets on the bed needed changing, there was no plug by the bed side table, the toliet needed cleaning and not sure if the counter in the bathroom was cleaned properly, the mattress was so uncomfortable we did not get any rest while sleeping
