Great place for a weekend getaway! Pool was huge! And warm! Nice workout room. Great breakfast. Beautiful area outdoors. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

One towel rack in the bathroom. Needed more towel racks. Did hang towels and wet suits over the shower rod. Pool was advertised as heated. Pool was very cold. Staff said it was set at 84. It didn't mean that it was 84 degrees. Breakfast had the usual items. The protein items were the same every day. We stayed a week and asked if the protein of smoked sausage and scrambled eggs would change. Was told that they were using up the supplies so would know what to order next year. Usually at other hotels you would get potatoes. Surprised to see different items on the weekend. There were diced potatoes with ground beef with red and green peppers. Cheese omlets were also available. Scrambled eggs and a different sausage was available. Shredded cheese was available but i like it melted. No microwave in the eating area. I took my plate to the snack area to use the microwave. The usual yogurts, bananas, breads, bagels, cereals , pancakes, wrapped sweet rolls, were some of the items. Housekeeping was very friendly. Snacks were available for purchase. TV was old and not a smart tv. It was small. It was maybe a 32 inch. The sound would be static simetimes. Limited number of stations. Beds were firm and comfortable. A desk and a chair was in the room and a additional chair. Walmart was close if you needed additional items. Culvers was also close.

My husband and I stayed for one night to attend a wedding in Galena. The hotel was nice, not fancy, suitable for our purpose. Check in was easy and the staff friendly. We had one king sized bed - was comfortable. The room was larger than other hotels I've stayed at. Because we both were getting ready at the same time, having two mirrors and sinks (one was separate from the one in the bathroom) was very convenient. The breakfast was typical hotel breakfast food but was good. The staff were quick to refill items that ran out. I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a reasonably-priced place to stay.

Need a hook in the bathroom for a bathrobe. Noisy ice maker outside our door. Squeaky mattress foundation. Room didn't smell fresh when walking in.

Liked the clean room and good amenities at the hotel. One night stay for fall colors and shopping. Would stay here again. Only issue was the fire alarm went off at 7 pm. The morning breakfast was not to my liking- watery powdered eggs, etc. Typical free fare so we went into Galena for better quality food.

Clean and quiet. Pictures on their website are truthful. Large property, beautiful pond in the back with wrap-around porch, comfy couches, tables and swings..all overlooking the pond. It was decorated for the Fall season which was really nice, too. The pool is large and jacuzzi is great and clean! Free breakfast was really good and we were surprised to have some hot food options! The only negative was that the toilet in the room's bathroom was small with a wobbly seat and the toilet in the pool's bathroom did not flush.

The front desk clerk was so nice. She changed our room to a first floor room quickly and with a smile. The breakfast selection was good, but the hot food was not filled before long emptied and the tables were not cleaned.

Chet, the manager, is amazing as is Zoe the bartender! They are both so kind and all around wonderful. We come to Galena often and we always stay here because of them, as well as how lovely and clean the property is.

Everything was wonderful from start to finish. Ease of check in to having a cocktail at the bar and ordering flatbread pizza to doing a little gambling all in one place! The one stop place for everything. The pillows are amazing! You will either love them or hate them and I’m Looking to buy some now! Amenities were great for what we needed!

As a person in a wheelchair I find it so odd that the accessible rooms are all the way at the end of the hall and not closer to the entrance. Had to push a long way to get to the room. Also the beds were too high. Suggestion is to keep one high and one low. I couldn’t do a transfer to bed from chair by myself. Keep one bed low for better access for all!!!! Lighting was also very dim. Through room. Bathroom was good.
