Disapointed as i upgraded to a silver kingsize bed option with a see view. Ended up in en suite room bed yes was kingsize facilities very basic a average tv with the mantdory shelf with the usual tea coffee kettle. If this is a silver room then id hate to go bronze?? It wasnt the cheapest option either but it sold itself well on website and limited reviews. There was a catering option run in there cellar but a spagetti bolognese at £18 you can only image cost opitions on the rest if the menu as i quickly put it down. They offered nightly entertainment where i saw a pa system a tele with selection of quizez kareoke pool table and table games? Thought we,d book time in the hot tub ( at extra cost) only to discover they had just started cleaning it. Best part car parking ( at extra cost) fairplay the staff were pleasant sadly wouldnt return there sadly it honestly felt like being in a nursing home with a large bed sadly.

Check in was terrible took about an hour! Very disappointed with parking that was offered. Wasn’t aware how small their car park was. They had to keep keys to move around during the stay. Open card Deposit for themselves with the rooms but not for us parking. Asked for their insurance none given to see. Rooms very basic dusty. Small double bed. Very old dirty stained duvet in cover. Yes I’m keeping was the sash window but need extra glazing for noise. Adequate room for stay but cost was too expensive for what was on offer. Staff friendly. Breakfast was nice.

Could you make sure to read the parking note - I didn't and had to either pay for them to move my car around or park 15 minutes away? Luckily my husband was with us, but if you travel with kids this is a real pain!! We had to wait for our room(about an hour), again as a Mum with 3 kids this threw a spanner in the works at the end of day with tired little ones.

We looked carefully at the room specifications before we booked our stay. On arrival we found the staff friendly and helpful. Check in was efficient. The room was fantastic, the right space, all you needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was great, good quality food. We also ate there in the evening too. Again the food was good quality and well presented. We were able to get the long stay parking permit from reception which was refunded when we left the hotel. It was a 10 minute walk to this car park, so no problem. Lovely staff, very pleasant stay, nice position on the sea front. Well worth the money we paid for a long weekend. We didn’t have a dog but we could see they were very welcome there if you did have one.

Was not that clean.. And was not good had a power cut for 2 days , trying to shower or wash in the dark is not good.. limited cooking as no power to cook. very exhausted walking up and down 4 flights of stairs as no power for the lift.. couldn't even change my mobile phone .. Not even offered any refund. Not Impressed

Thought beds were uncomfortable. Had asked for comfortable bed prior to attending, this was not met. Reception was busy and chaotic. We were refused the use of dining room for take away even though restaurant was closed, forcing us to eat Chinese in the smallest of bedrooms.

The stay was enjoyable the only downside was that you have to go in to the Richmond Hotel to have your breakfast its ok as long as its not raining. The rooms are clean but very old fashioned but thats just due to the edge of the hotel. Overall I would stay there again.

No staff in hotel, had to check in at hotel next door, had to come out on cold morning and walk next door for breakfast and very small breakfast accommodation serving two hotels. Pleased we were only staying for one night. Bedding and towels very clean but overall appearance of hotel very sad, no way of communicating with hotel next door in case of any emergency, overall décor of hotel needs a lot of attention . Breakfast very good and staff there very helful

Awful maintenance work being carried out had to move rooms because the first room was inadequate no hot water and shower was broken had to check in at a different hotel because the mon ami hotel had been taken over by them we had know email to tell usimform us off the work.

The hotel was better than a lot of the reviews Id read. My room was a fair size clean and with a sea view, although it could do with redecorating. I didnt book the breakfast so I cant comment on the food. I didnt use the bar as it@s only open 6pm to 9pm. The prince regent near bye has a good cellar bar whith entertainment.The car park is small but parking was not a problem. Being on the prom and close to the town centre the location was excellent.

Yeah its a tad dated. Lovely staff and it is across road from beach. Coffee in room terrible but,for the money, I was really pleased. My mum cant walk far and this was perfect. An excellent base for days out or strolling the promenade.

The Hotel is at the far end of the Esplanade, so quite a walk into the town centre and is not suitable for people with mobility problems because the whole place is full of stairs; they do have a life but it is tiny and you would struggle to get a wheelchair in to it.The whole place is in a very poor decorative state (a bicycle in the guest lounge) and looks asthough it hasnt seen a renovation for many years and desperately needs one, the bathroom in our room should have been ripped out and redone years ago.The room we had was tiny, poorly decorated, very oppressive and not one I would wish to stay in again and very over priced.The parking is challenging because the Hotel has alot of rooms but a tiny car park at the rear, we were blocked in on several occasions.

Hotel Mon Ami is a good *** star hotel - with and somewhat old interior. The room was good, nice sea view good beds, the shower cabin a tiny bit on the small side, but sufficient. The lift is a bit tempermental - doesnt not always works - going down. The staff always very helpfull.

I was looking for a hotel with and sea view and that is exactly what we got.It was a lovely view, the balcony was a great touch and the room was lovely.We also had breakfast which was served speedily and was a great start to the day.The staff were friendly and helpfulWould stay here again

I stayed here despite looking at the reviews and I can say if these people are not happy with hotel for the money they pay then go pay a £110 at the premier inn. I had a massive room everything was spotless just what I wanted . Somewhere to crash after a night out. Ignore the critics thats all I can say

I often go by the rule, if you havent got anything nice to say then dont say anything so I dont often leave negative reviews but hotel mon ami has to be the exception. There are no staff in the hotel and it is permanently locked. A cleaner eventually let us in and gave us a room key. the room was full of mould from damp. The bed uncomfortable and the floor wonkey so didnt sleep at all well. Then to top it all off there was no hot water in the morning, and of course no staff to speak to about this. We didnt even see anyone at checkout, just left the keys in the box. Not sure if anyone is actually running this hotel at all!
