I stay at the Rhumb Line often(5+/yr) for many years. I know what to expect and don’t ask for much.
In the summer, it’s busy. There is an indoor pool and an indoor hot tub and a large outdoor hot tub open year round. There is a large in-ground pool open in the summer. Also in the summer they have outside food and beverage service with lobster bakes, it’s really fun.
I just went on a Sunday night in the fall, so there weren’t a lot of guests and it was very quiet and peaceful.
Rooms are old, but always clean. Decent size, some with balconies overlooking the back of the property.
Basic to-go breakfast included. Offers toast, bagels, yogurt, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, coffee, milk, juice.
Laid back family resort. A great less expensive option in K-Port.

Go to the hotel later in the evening (7pm) on Wednesday after a long car ride. 1st room we got walked in and right back out. The room reaked of cigarette smoke (Room 115). The 2nd room the carpet was filthy. (Room 114). The 3rd and final room 214 was livable for the night as it was getting late and the restaurant were closing soon. For the money I would never stay there again.

Hotel was obviously some sort of resort. Place was nice but dated. Beds were old. A/C window unit was hard to get to work and room was hot. Outdoor hot tub was fantastic! Breakfast was just ok with only the standard hotel basics.

Hotel is dated but not the worst. Bed is very comfortable, but most importantly, the staff are so friendly, accommodating, and kind. Pool area is very nice.

This hotel is in a great location for touring Kennebunkport!! It is quiet, safe and family friendly. We enjoyed our 2 night stay tremendously.

I wouldn’t describe this as a “resort”. It more of a run down hotel that was never nice with a pool. Don’t believe any of the great reviews.
Enjoy your stay at one of the most overpriced hotels I’ve ever been to.

Our stay was great! The staff was friendly, the location and amenities were fantastic, my only feedback is to have ventilated restrooms in guest rooms and/or clean more thoroughly between guests. The restroom in our room smelled of old urine when we checked in but I just gave the area a quick wipedown myself and didn't find it to be a deal breaker. Overall, a great experience!

The front desk was super helpful and gave us a map and dining options for the evening. A short drive to the tourist and dining areas. Nice indoor pool and the hot tub was awesome after walking around all day!

Outside was nice...carpet on entry smelled..carpet smelled in rooms. Was original1970s decor broken tables and ice machines, signs on in hallway out dated..hot tub broke...lights rusted off no globes...maintenance needs done , sad as it could be nice.. to be honest if i could have gotten my money back from expedia, i would have turned around and left....

Room was dated and torn wallpaper that was scotchtaped.3 inch hole in the bottom of bath room door. Good free breakfast bagels toast muffins cereal fruit yogurt ect.

My daughter and I stayed at the Rhumb Line Resort Mon. 8/5/24 - Thurs. 8/8/24. The day before Check in I called and spoke to a wonderful woman and asked her if I could pay the rest of the visit over the phone instead of just the Expedia deposit. She instantly accommodated me in paying before we got to the property. Upon Arrival the woman at the front desk gave us a quick rundown and let us know in advance that if we ate at the restaurant at the Resort and didn’t pay cash or put another card on File with the Resort they would automatically charge it to the room (which I thought was incredible that they didn’t want to surprise there guests with giant bill upon check out) . The only issue was our toilet that didn’t seem to have much flushing power, but again, I went to the front desk to ask for a plunger and the woman working offered to get maintenance on it right away, I just told her I needed a quick plunge and she told me “you can just keep it in your room”.. the staff and other guests were unbelievably friendly and our double bed (2 Queen beds) with balcony overlooking the outdoor pool and restaurant were PERFECT. The restaurant and Bar stayed open later than the pool but we never heard a noise from the bar area because everyone was so respectful! The Drive from the Resort to Dock Sq. was about 6min/15min walk. Resort is close to busy square but set back in its own quiet area surrounded by trees! Walker’s Point was about a 5min Drive /15-20min walk!

Definitely has gone down hill since our last stay. Not very clean and staff wasn’t very nice. The little restaurant has a nice area to eat outside. Just needs updated and detail to cleanliness. Housekeeping just left towels and we ran out of TP. And they didn’t leave any coffee..

This property is a diamond in the rough.
Its conveyance and local are perfect for a great stay in a very upscale area. We loved the pools, and the ability to enjoy some local food without having to drive anywhere. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I thank you for your hospitality.

Wonderful location, staff was very professional and helpful but the rooms could use some updates - bathroom could use some paint and new finish in the shower.

Rhumb Line is in a great location: close enough to Kennebunk/Kennebunkport but not right near the bustle of tourists. The hot tub was very nice. There’s a restaurant/bar right next to it! Be mindful about when it closes, though, if you’re looking for poolside food and drinks. Another thing to consider: Breakfast in the morning was not very full of options, and we were there first thing. Maybe we just hit it on a bad day? Still, highly recommend.

You could sèe daylight through the door leading to the pool. I fixed it by pushing the rubber seal back but im sure the seal will need to be replaced. Other wise the room was clean and the beds were fine. I like a very firm mattress but my granddaughter does not. She had a hard time sleeping.

We arrived at 7:30pm so we were glad there was a restaurant on the premises. The selection was small but we opted for the market lobster at the bar counter. There was confusion with the bartender and we got the complete lobster dinner. There was confusion with the other patrons about their food. He made it up with a discount. The big bummer was when we learned the gym was closed. That was very important to us. The room needed some upkeep on the balcony where it really needed a coat of paint. The bathroom had a rusty heater and was very basic. The bed was ok no more. The maid didn’t clean our room 2 out of 3 nights despite our asking for it in the morning. I guess I expected more from the pictures I saw.
